Moerlein Lager House Ratings and Reviews
Went here for an early Valentine's Date. The menu had changed since the last time I visited and has a larger variety of spicy items that I couldn't eat due to dietary restrictions. The chicken salad I ordered was delicious and my husband's fish tacos looked amazing as well. Will definitely return again in the future.
The service was good. Had a reservation and were seated promptly. The beer selection was great and everybody had something they likes. Our waitress was helpful and friendly. Food was good for the most. The only sour spot of the evening was when one of the beer battered onion ring was incompletely cooked and the batter powder was pouring from the middle. When pointed out to the waitress she did'nt seem to think of it as a problem and said that she will "let them know". Disappointing.
My fiance and I went here for dinner on a Sunday evening in January as we were in town visiting Cincinnati for the day and we absolutely loved this place. We were sat at a table with an excellent view of the Ohio River at night and it was just an all around great experience. The service was great and the timeliness of our waiter was fantastic. I tried one of their house craft beers and it was among some of the best craft beer I have ever had. We had their three layer dip which was a great appetizer. My fiance had the honey glazed chicken and I had the smothered chicken and we were both very happy with our selections. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who is thinking of trying it out.
We were a party of 6. Our server was pleasant but non existent after our food arrived. We were unable to order additional drinks, our waters were not refilled . The noise level made it nearly impossible to have a conversation. I made the reservation and stated that is was a birthday celebration, our server mentioned the birthday as she picked up our check. It was a disappointing meal .
