We really enjoyed our evening at Morelein. The view is beautiful. Our server, Nikki, was friendly and knowledgeable. She made some really good suggestions on the food and drinks. The pretzels and beer cheese are a must. They have an extensive drink menu. The beer flight is a nice option if you’re not sure what you want. Having grown up in the Cincinnati area, one of my choices was a Little Kings Cream Ale. It brought back a lot of fun memories! We went on a night where there were no sporting events. It can be a really crowded place on game nights. You’ll want to use Open Table to make reservations.

When the highlight of your evening out at a restaurant is your server - - [the FABULOUS Jennifer] - - that's telling you something about the food right there. Moerlein falls within the 'roadhouse' category of dining establishments; the food is good, not great. Prices have been aggressively raised; some items have suffered in quality; and, they were out of medium rare roast beef at 7:20 pm. Had it been 8:50, OK, but so early in the evening, this for an everyday-on-the-menu item. The place was busy but far from bursting at the seams. I'm just sayin' if you know what I'm talkin' about. So what went wrong. The BLT salad had tired lettuce and lacked it's usual refreshing perkiness. The Moer burger, always a winner. The pork chop was a little too spicy; same for the Restaurant Week special menu tofu dish. CHEFS, ... EVERYWHERE, ... taste your food, too many poorly executed dishes are making it to the dining room tables - Fake Food; Sad. We had a very nice time, but that was more due to Jennifer's attentive, accommodating service than anything else. Will we go again? Sure, everybody deserves a 2nd chance, especially a place that's proven itself for years. Should YOU go? Sure, just keep your eyes open and if they pull an Amateur Hour ploy on you, insist they do something on the final tab to mitigate your inconvenience. I didn't want to make a scene in front of my guests, they already think I'm cheap and tough enough. But I immediately regretted that decision and didn't sleep well last night, I was so upset at myself for being a 'nice guy.' Bad for my reputation!

Great food and service! Management was great as well! We sat at our table in a timely manner! We also sat at a window table which had a great view of Cincinnati! We will definitely be returning! We would recommend Moerlein lager house to anyone for a great date night!!

Very noisy, not good for quiet conversation. Very busy. on a Saturday, waitress was overwhelmed. Ordered Prime Rib, very tough and full of grissel, my own fault for ordering prime rib at a brewery!

This restaurant came highly recommended & so I booked a reservation for our anniversary. We were seated at the worst table in the restaurant right against the wall right next to the kitchen door. We could not see the "great view" everyone raves about. Because we were right next to the kitchen we had every server bumping into us or the table constantly. We were seated for 15 minutes before our waitress even asked us for our drink order. Our waitress was very nice & she was the only nice thing about this disaster of a dinner, I felt bad for her because she had several large parties & no help. We ordered nachos & they were terrible it tasted like Velveeta cheese & they were cold. We ordered salads with our meal & only my husbands came out at first. We told the lady that brought the salads that I was supposed to get one too but she never did anything about it. We had to flag down our poor waitress (who was being run ragged by the larger groups) to let her know that I did not get my salad, she apologized & took care of it but I got mine 15 minutes after my husband received his & they were both warm & the lettuce was soggy. We ordered steaks & they were okay. This is not a good restaurant if you actually want to talk to the person that is with you. We had to basically yell across our very tiny table just to hear one another. A manager came over to our table & was nice she took the nachos & salad off our bill. Yes, the building is pretty & the staff was nice but the food is terrible, the layout of the tables are terrible, and the music is too loud. If you want to be a sports bar that's one thing but if you are trying to be a nicer restaurant you need to get it together. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone and we will never go back.

FANTASTIC! To make a long story short, I made last minute reservations for six through Opentable on a Saturday night. This was our first, but not last, visit! Really beautiful restaurant, fun atmosphere, & attentive service (even though the place was crazy busy)! I loved the strawberry pig & steaks were very good!! We’re looking forward to our next visit:)

Great menu choices that appeal to a wide variety of tastes. Tell them what kind of beer you like, and they will match it with one of their in-house offerings. Fantastic location and views.

We had the short rib poutine...it was delicious. It was pretty big so with it being just the two of us, it was too much. We couldn’t finish it. My husband had the Moer Burger, we both loved it. I had the Chicken Melt. It was good but I think I would have enjoyed it more it if had been a thinner bun and the bun had been toasted. Overall, it was a fantastic experience. Justin was a great waiter. We can’t wait to come back!

This used to be a favorite of ours but, sadly, it won't be anymore. The menu changed some time ago which was disappointing. The fish and chips were overly breaded and tasteless. We also had the sausage platter and the sausages were not good (rather shocking , how can you screw up sausage?) and weren't eaten. The best thing we had served was the "old standby" of the pretzel bites. The service was "okay" but after our drink order was taken, we waited far too long and then had to locate the server to take our food order. We were there at 5:00 on a Saturday and the restaurant was not busy at that time. We had a friend in from out of town, wanted to show off the pretty view as she had never been before. Though we had a nice time with our guest, the overall restaurant experience was just poor.

We loved our server! She was fantastic! Will defiantly ask for her again! We went to dinner in a Friday night. Food took along time due to fact only one kitchen was open on a weekend. Was told the General manager was making salads. The general manager must not know the menu. Both salads were wrong. First one had no croutons and covered/drenched in dressing. Second salad was my husbands and it didn’t have avocado which the menu stayed it had and was a mess! My chicken was suppose to have BBQ sauce on it. It didn’t have it. One of our guests was suppose to get angry Mac and cheese. Someone brought our food out and didn’t have it. Over all worst experience I’ve had here! If it wasn’t for the server we would never come back. We are regulars here for events of birthdays anniversaries etc.

We enjoyed a pre REDS game meal on Easter. The upper level is always a bit quieter and we were given a booth area when requested. My husband has hearing disabilities, he wears 2 hearing aids. He has a chance of some conversation when he sits with his back in a booth. The hosting staff politely took us to a table that met our needs. This made for an enjoyable lunch. Thanks,

They ran out of champagne after my first mimosa which was a buzz kill especially since it was brunch of Easter. I ordered the beer can chicken melt and I didn't really like it. Won't get it again. But I did try a bite of the biscuits n gravy which were amazing and the sausage on a roll is good as well!! Also love the spaetzel w/ goat cheese & tomato.

Excellent food. Excellent service. Arrived about 20 minutes early to our reservation, were able to seat us right away despite it being very busy with the opening day baseball game happening next door. The table had already been prepped for a high chair to be added before we arrived. Servers we very friendly and attentive. Food looked and tasted phenomenal. All three of our meals were delicious. It is pretty noisy but that’s what a place like that is supposed to be like! Would highly highly recommend!

Uncharacteristic experience at Moerlein House. Seated very quickly but had to get up and find the host in order to get service. Placed an order for three flights of beer. Labels on the beers were illegible. Two of the flights were supposed to be identical and were not. A member of our party is vegetarian, ordered the veggie burger, and was served a bacon cheese burger. Typically enjoy a dessert, but with the poor bar and food experiences we chose to end our visit.

Definitely among the best restaurant experiences we've had in while! Meat and cheese board was better than my already high expectations. Moer burger and baby back ribs were extremely tasty as well and the black cherry mousse cake was as delicious as it sounds. Service was very good as well and the location of the restaurant is perfect for just about any occasion. Also, you can't forget about the beer! Great price for a great brew - Hudy 14K was my personal favorite. Overall, you absolutely cannot go wrong with this restaurant. We definitely will be back soon.
