Moerlein Lager House
the banks of the Ohio River at this world-class restaurant and brewery.
Prominently situated in the dynamic Smale Riverfront Park, the Moerlein Lager House offers a guest experience unlike any other—a working microbrewery producing a full line of Moerlein craft brews, and delectable fare featuring grain spent breads, hand-carved sandwiches, and smoked rotisserie meats… foods reminiscent of those served in the city’s celebrated 19th century beer gardens.

Food was very good, unfortunately our server acted like she didn't want to be there. It didn't ruin dinner, however, therefore overall I would recommend.
Was a very enjoyable dinner, probably a little busier and louder than usual due to the huge festivities outside. Overall a great dinner and a fun experience.
It was our first time trying and it was a packed house. The food was okay. I would love to try again, preferably when there’s not a festival or anything happening in that area.
Excellent food and a great evening view for the start of Blink.
Visited Cincinnati for the weekend and blindly reserved this restaurant. Was very surprised and enjoyed our evening. Would definitely be back again. Great service and food.
Salad was servered without dressing, finished eating salad before getting dressing. Food was nothing more than "bar" food. Nothing stood out as excellent. Tried the German food, it was ok.
Had 5p reservations for opening night of Blink. Seated inside, had been hoping for outdoors. No waitress was there for our table yet, but mgr took our order. Mgr came by and told us who our waitress was when staffing was set. When food was taking awhile, we asked that waitress about our food and she said she didnt have us. Then, shortly after, our food was attempted delivery at table next to ours. Despite this confusion, they worked it out quickly. Hats off to the mgr taking our order!
The restaurant has good beer, good food, and a great location.
I like the Lagerhouse and take my family there sometimes. Good service, pretty clean, friendly staff, good food and good selection of good. I dislike the tables for 6 where some of us sit at the bench against the wall. That bench is too low.
We had a great time at the Moerlein Lager House before the Bengals game! Our table was great with a nice view and the food was wonderful! The service was great!! We will definitely be back again!
My only complaint would be the noise level. Moerlein Lager House is best for a night out with friends. It was a little too loud for our dinner for two.
Not a quiet mid to upscale dining experience anymore. Quite loud and raucous. More of an expensive Applebee's with higher quality food and service. Just not quite what it was when it first launched.
Severe lack of attentive staff... took awhile to get attention once seated, took over 30mins to get food ordered (and beer delivered to table), and food didn’t arrive until after an hour of being there. We won’t be going back.
They were very attentive to our group of 13. We were delayed a little by the group before us, but the staff was constantly informing us of the process and timing. The food did take a while to arrive, a little longer than usual even for a big group but the restaurant was crowded and our group was large. We had children with us who were a little impatient, as kids are, and left quite a mess, but not a word was said and everyone was still quite kind to us. This is just not a restaurant for children but our guests could not get a sitter. Thank you for all you did. It was a good dinner overall.
Service was good, but the food was so, so for the most part...and felt most things were overpriced overall. Not really a great experience.
I would recommend to meet for drinks after work or before a game. But not for a special occasion. The hostesses are rude and they don’t keep commitments to seat you with a view. We took our daughter there for her 21st birthday and was seated in booth furthest from window even though I had requested window in advance and dining room was wide open (4:30 pm). Hostess copped an attitude and refused to accommodate. Never going back for dinner again! First time I’ve ever written a review btw.
Great food and atmosphere. View great. Service was excellent. A little loud but it’s a bar!
It was a beautiful place to watch the sun set over the Ohio River. The wait staff was outstanding and the beer was great. The food was . . . underwhelming. There was plenty of it, but it was not memorable. But thanks to the view and the cheerful staff, we would go back. Probably would order a burger or something very basic.
Table was ready on time & the service was very efficient and friendly. A few of the beers listed were not available but there was plenty to choose from - try the Golden Helles! The Thai Garlic Tofu was a little on the salty side, but still delicious if you’re looking for a good vegetarian option. Best impossible burger my fiancé has tried, to boot! Overall great experience & will continue to go back/recommend.
Service was great. The noice on the first floor was loud. I hadn't noticed this in previous visit, but usually we are seated on the second floor.
Hostess got us seated 20 minutes before our reservation which was great but We sat for awhile without being greeted. Drinks and food took forever, literally. I asked if the spicy shrimp could be served without the spice and the waitress said no but that it wasn’t very spicy at all so I ordered it for my daughter and, it was pretty spicy, and I like spicy. Also it appeared that the shrimp could’ve been served without the sauce poured on top which was the spicy factor.
The food was amazing, especially the fries. Our server was great and I wish I could single her out but I can’t recall her name. The prices were good for the location and quality, however I’m a little cheap when it comes to food. Keep up the great work.
Food was great, with awesome presentation on the plate. Wasn't packed when we were there, so noise level was tolerable. Service was ok. I think our server got too many tables all at once. Great view from our window seats!
Post Red’s game dinner. Celebrating Marty Brennaman’s last broadcast after 46 years.
Everything was perfect. My steak was cooked to my request. My husbands fish and chips, delightful !
Nice selection of draught beers and the ribeye I had was excellent.
Went after baseball game. I think the food quality has diminished since we last visited
From the moment we were received and seated to when we said “till next time”,
Looking forward to my next Reds game starting with the Moerlein Lager House.
Food was over-cooked and the service was rather slow albeit it was quite busy.
Very consistent experience every time I am here. The food is great, beautiful atmosphere, and the servers are all very friendly.
Went for a birthday lunch with family. We got there and table was already ready for us so no wait which was nice. There was a little confusion with wait staff. Food was ok, just average and not worth the price of what was spent.
Really a fun place to grab drinks and dinner. The service was a bit slow and confused, but the food was good.
Love the Moerlein House however on this occasion the food was subpar. The Nashville hot chicken sandwich was nothing like Nashville hot. Adding Cole slaw to a fried chicken breast does not constitute Nashville’s version of fried chicken.
This is our favorite place to have date night and anniversary celebrations. Also, I appreciate the menu having vegetarian options that can be ordered as it is made.
The rice and tofu was a little dry. The shrimp app was amazing. Very nice server. We sat outside! No styrofoam to take home! Thank you.
My sandwich was not the greatest but the others in my party enjoyed their food. A little pricey for what it is but that is to be expected with the location.
This visit was unusual in that we 6 waited forever for our food which is unusual.
And the food was cold and lukewarm.
Not sure the reason, but it was so late they comped our meal which was appreciated.
I've eaten here many many times and will go back assuming this was a one off issue.
The view next to the Windows upstairs is great.
We had lunch prior to Bengals game. Last season we had lunch here at least 4 times. Had amazing lunches! My husband always orders the Beer Baron sausage. He loves it. I had the Beer Battered Code sandwich. I have had this in the past and enjoyed. I ordered fish sandwich without the bun. The fish was soggy. I picked off the batter and ate the flaky fish. So disappointing. We dined with friends. Husband had the same as sausage as my husband. He also loved. Friend had salad with chicken. She mentioned several times that she was disappointed with the small amount of chicken.
Hostess was prompt. We arrived early our party of 4 had our first cocktails at upstairs bar. That was good. Once we sat at our table it just went bad. Appetizers were warm. Our dinner food was cold. No one finished their food & left more than half on their plates. I love tofu. The tofu dinner is horrible & so salty. We did not complain because our server never checked on us after we received our food. When she did arrive we just asked for the check. Management was busy with 2 other big parties around us. We had to hear all the complaining from the women at those other tables. So we just wanted to leave. Do know I has 1 drink from 8:15pm to 9:45 & I had to go up to hostess stand to add something to our order cause we just couldn’t get a servers attention.
