Great place excellent service & food. Can't wait to go back.
A first time visit for restaurant week. Service was very good, social distancing is being practiced in the seating area, not the bar area. The soup was served hot, but the entree's were at room temperature or less which was disappointing given the restaurants reputation. The runners were really hustling so perhaps the short coming was due to restaurant week and or the increased volume of people once again venturing out.
It was excellent! I’ve even told a few friends and I’m going to try to go back soon. Food & service were awesome!
Outstanding, as usual!
As always a delicious meal in a beautiful setting.
The restaurant looks great with big windows. Tables are properly spaced out for social distancing. Restroom was kept clean although there were only 2 stalls.
Food was amazing. Although it was restaurant week the servings were big. We had calamari for appetizer. It was not greasy nor overly battered. The entree were pesto gnocchi and pork burger. It was very good and filling. The desserts were so delicious especially the lemon cheesecake with blueberries.
The restaurant filled up quickly so service was a little delayed especially for water. Staff was friendly and accommodating.
We enjoyed a really nice Mother's Day at Moderne Barn. Its a beautiful space, especially the downstairs area. The hostess was able to accommodate our request to have a table seated on the main floor. My husband and I had the prix fixe menu which we enjoyed. This is a perfect restaurant for a special occasion or date night.
Took my Mother here for Mothers Day and had a wonderful first time experience. Really good menu and the service was outstanding. Special thanks to Rudy who was knowledgeable and kind and helped make the experience a memorable one.
We got a table in a high traffic area of the restaurant so it wasn’t the best experience, but this is a nice place.
For Mother’s Day, they only offered a fixed menu for $72 per person. Honestly, overpriced and underwhelming.
Excellent food, service was OK and the decor is great. Had the pork chop and it was cooked to a perfect medium.
Very good place, would definitely go again. Food was great
Excellent dinner in a great setting. Sat outside and heat lamps were perfect. Food was delicious and service was spot on
Always a good experience with food and service! Will come back again and again!
We have eaten here before and had a great experience. However, and possibly due to the pandemic, we found the menu small and limiting. Never a good sign when you can’t find something on the menu. The drinks were minuscule (I have bathroom cups larger than the one they served my drink in) but the price was not.
We were served our meal and then completely forgotten about. I was almost done with my salad before I was able to get some fresh ground pepper.
It was lunchtime on a Tuesday. The restaurant was not crowded. Overall the experience was not worth what we paid and we will not be going back anytime soon.
What a wonderful brunch. Great food, professional service and ambiance.
What a great re-entry into the real world and having dinner out!!! Service was friendly and attentive. The restaurant looks great! And the food was impeccable!
So glad to see that the Moderne Barn came through the pandemic. Service and staff were terrific and surprised my guest with a Birthday cheesecake that she enjoyed. It was the perfect touch for two friends re-connecting after this difficult year we have all had.
We went to brunch last Saturday.
We had the Egg Rancheros and the Chicken and sausage soup gumbo.
Both were excellent.
It's definitely worth the drive from Mamaroneck, NY
everything was great but $14 for a gin & tonic seemes a bit much .
Great spot for a great evening out! Can't wait to go back!
Phenomenal food and service!
Always a great experience. Food is spot on. Corkage fee is a bit excessive.
Major props to the service staff for having to tackle that staircase dozens of times per night. the service was simply great and the layout is perfect for the times we live in. The food (Lambchops) were killer as was the halibut. Great vibe.
The food is consistently delicious The outdoor dining set up is perfect, with outdoor heaters that kept us comfortable throughout the meal Great choice for a dinner out Would highly recommend
Great experience, great service, always a good place to enjoy a meal.
Coming there for years. My friend went for the first time and loved it.
Sat in the tent and though it was cold, it was a great meal and the service was great.
Typical food for a New American type of restaurant. The food was good, but not really exciting.
They have a nice set up for outdoor dining and it looks like the inside of the restaurant is really nice.
Food was good and overall a decent value.
What I didn't like is a ridiculous sharing charge for dessert. Menu lists desserts at $10.00 each and then if you share it's an extra $4.00. I am surprised they didn't charge for tap water. Obviously this extra charge was a deterrent to getting a little something to share with a friend. So a simple cup of coffee was it for us and we called it a night. We were turned off by it and something simple like that would probably keep me from coming back.
Hi there. There was a misunderstanding on how you read our dessert menu. It says, "PLEASE NOTE THAT THERE IS A $4 PER PERSON PLATING FEE FOR ANY GUEST PROVIDED DESSERTS." Meaning if someone was to bring in their own dessert, for an example a birthday cake, we charge a $4 per person plating fee. We do not charge for sharing one of our own desserts. Customers share desserts all the time when dining with us. I hope this clarifies the misunderstanding and you will join us in the future. Thank you!
The food was delicious. I enjoyed the ambiance
Great food, ambience, and service! Enjoyed a long, and delicious, dinner with friends without any pressure from staff to hurry it along. Good precautions in place as well.
Always an excellent meal with awesome service! We love Moderne Barn! It’s why we choose it for special occasions
Pita is a great staff member who makes everyone feel welcome.
We always have dinner here not lunch. What a lovely experience.
Shared the fish tacos and the BLT sandwich. Both were great but the BLT was the best one I ever had.
We keep going back because its a great restaurant!
