   Food was mostly excellent. Meatballs and fried mozzarella appetizers were draw-joppingly good. Same with the Pork chop entree - truly outstanding. But the rib eye and duck were so-so. Everyone wished they had ordered the pork chop!

   I've dined at Moderne Barn often; and I'm never disappointed. This time I had lunch with a friend. Service was prompt, unobtrusive and professional. Food was very good. I'll be back.

   The tuna entree was de,I ious but for the nearly inedible peas served with it. My husband had to use his teeth to separate the thick pod ends in order to access the tiny peas. My pasta dish appeared to have had precooked pasta under the delicious sauce.

   The food is always great here, and the service is always attentive! However, this time we asked for our leftovers to be wrapped to take home, they did it for us which is always nice, but I should have checked the bag because when we got home my husband’s risotto was missing. He purposely saved it for later, and when I noticed it was missing it was way too late to call the restaurant. First time out in awhile , so we were extremely upset and disappointed, but I guess things happen.

   I love this restaurant but I don’t love the system where your original waiter never comes back after taking order! Somebody different for everything, I’m sure it’s more efficient but impersonal and not fine dining. They just drop plate and if you need a spoon or pepper or the check it takes awhile to flag down! At the very least they should ask can if you need anything else before running away!

   We have not been here in a few years and we’re looking for some place to spend our anniversary. When we made the reservation it asked if you were celebrating something. We’ve seen this in the past and it amounted to nothing . But , here we were so pleasantly surprised that not only did they acknowledge it right away , they have us 2 glasses of champagne and a wonderful chocolate happy anniversary sign and candle on our dessert! It really made the evening special . On top of that, the food was terrific and the service was outstanding! Our waiter Edwin , could not have been nicer and more attentive! We won’t be waiting a few years to return ! Very very enjoyable meal and experience

   We enjoyed the food we had the Berkshire pork chop and the halibut. We also had a spicy shrimp appetizer and the Buratta toast with fig jam, and arugula. Everything was delicious. We had the best server we’ve ever had anywhere who goes by the name of Pita. Pita was professional, friendly, and most importantly accurate When it came to our order.

   I ordered the Diver Scallops which were very good and prepared with a nice grilling. However, the white asparagus and other sides had too strong a taste.

    I celebrated my friend Rita’s birthday at Moderne Barn. We shared a Margherita pizza together which we loved! The Tuna Tartar was so delicious-thank you! I loved the delicious soup. My friend loved her healthy salad. The waiter came out with some birthday’s sorbet with a chocolate happy Birthday sign. The atmosphere is warm & relaxed. The staff is amazing! The architecture design of the restaurant is so spectacular.
