Food was just okay. Waiter forgot to bring my wine with food. But, what really is wrong. Is that the waiter charged my credit card twice, 151.00 and then 181.00 which included the tip. So both the 151.00 and 181.00 totaling over 300.00 was charged to my credit card. This lunch really left a bad taste in my mouth. According to the restaurant manager the 151.00 was charged as an authorization and would be re-deposited into my account in four to five days. I have never heard of a restaurant doing this. I eat out all over San Francisco and have never had this happen before. Don’t eat at this restaurant. Walk down the street to the Palace Hotel and enjoy a lovely lunch in the Palace Court or go to the Proper Hotel Restaurant and enjoy a trendy lunch that’s excellent from start to finish.
Good selection of food on the menu and the salmon I had was exquisitely prepared. The selection of wines by the glass was great. Service was attentive but not intrusive. Love the views of the surrounding buildings and Market Street. Solid bet for a great lunch.
Husband’s birthday celeb
Food was good, but way overpriced. I was a bit surprised that they did not have a Valentine's day lunch menu when it mention it on OpenTable.
Moules frites - mussels were mostly cold and tasteless, some dried out; fries OK, but the bread was good. Pick something else.
Really like this restaurant. Glad I came for breakfast. My first visit was lunch a year ago. Both dining opportunities were delicious.
It’s just for take some small bite and drink, but everything are great
While the food was good I was not expecting a brunch only menu on Saturday. I was looking forward to lunch since my reservation was at 2 but ended up with the French toast. My date had a shrimp louis (1 out of the 3 salads on the menu that wasn’t breakfast) and while it was tasty it was not worth a $70 meal and that was just for the 2 entrees plus a Pepsi. Probably will not return. Left disappointed and wished we went elsewhere.
I went with a dear friend whom I had not seen in a year. The servers gave us lots of time to peruse the menu an linger over our excellent meal. The Lois salad was delicious, fresh tasting and well dressed. I appreciated the size of the portion — not overwhelming. I will definitely be back!
Nice service around the table, fresh meal with good taste, but we waited for 10-15 minutes at the front desk. Overall it deserves pay a visit next time.
Poor Service and lack of attention to detail led to a sub-par experience. There are plenty of places in SF to have a $100 lunch so I’m left wanting better service.
Classically modern environment with a beautiful views. The food is exquisite, thoughtful, and nourishing. The servers are engaged and warm. Highly recommend.
It was a great experience from the service to the actual food served. We decided to dine there for dinner after seeing a Cirque du Soleil show. The appetizers were fantastic particularly the grilled octopus. The cocktails were exquisite and the entrées were high-quality! Everyone in our party thoroughly enjoyed their food.
The first time I ate at MKT was during a marvelous stay at the Four Seasons as a guest. Although I did not stay at the Four Seasons this trip I still needed to settle my cravings for that great food!
Wanted an amazing drink and duck fat fries and was not disappointed!
One of our SF City fav’s - tea ice cubes float in delicious brewed flavored iced tea - nothing more needed. Love the Mahi fish tacos & Shishito peppers! Food+Service are Top Shelf (as is the view from this Four Seasons Hotel).
We have been going to MKT for Christmas Day dinner for several years. It has changed from an elegant, fine dining atmosphere to one more oriented to casual dining. The dining choices have also been downgraded; we did not receive a bread basket as in past years, but just a 1/2 slice of sourdough bread (my son ordered a second slice which never came). The sauce for our impossible burger, dough-wrapped entree congealed quickly and became inedible. It was a fixed price meal, so we expected the high bill; our daughter, though, ordered a peanut butter and jelly sandwich for dinner for which we were charged $58. We would have been comfortable with the high price if it were not for the fact that the ambiance and food quality has really fallen. The service overall was excellent, though.
Amazing Christmas Day experience! Will make this as tradition.
The service was excellent. Food was very good with a short but interesting menu.
I was dining with team members as a holiday brunch and thought I would find the ambiance more festive. As for food, the crab Benedict was delicious and green juice fresh and effervescent. Just wanted more Christmas spirit!
Menu and food is outstanding - expensive for upscale hotel
We have dinner at MKT every time we visit the city.
Amazing service as always! I brought my friends here to impress and MKT staff delivered. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Tawnie our waitress was terrific; very personable, knowledgeable, efficient.
Food was average in taste and presentstion.
I was 18 min late due to traffic and the hostess made big deal about have given my table away. He said 15 min is how long they wait so I missed it by 3 min. When he finally seated us, I saw that there were other tables sat empty. That was not necessary esp. being a Four Season restaurant. I just spent over 10 thousand dollars on another four season hotel being on vacation where restaurant staff was amazing. Other than that everything else was great.
Beautiful restaurant, very upscale and very light. The service was attentive, the food came out quickly and was very fresh and delicious.
Our anniversary is well spent on MKT! Amazing food and staff as always. Ali and Fernando delivered the best service possible!
The food was terrible, the service was fine except the waitress wasn’t able to deliver the food as requested.
While our service was terrific, this is really just your basic hotel cafe to grab lunch. A bit pricey for the ambience and food since it's pretty basic, but the view is nice and the service was excellent.
We had Thanksgiving dinner there. The food was like banquet food but colder and less delicious. Can’t believe the Four Seasons would put their name on this restaurant. They did comp our food as they just could t get it right after two attempts. Service was wonderful, kitchen just fell flat.
Given this was Thanksgiving dinner we expected the bill to be high. We were informed ahead of time so there was no problem there. The service however was atrocious because we never seem to have a waiter assigned to our table. The first waiter said he was filling in while the other one was busy and we never saw the other one.
Shortly after we sat down they dim the lights so low you could hardly see your dinner. The people around us were also complaining. Our Candle went out and it took quite a while to get a new one.

Dinner
Excellent service and a festive Thanksgiving dinner. Well done!
I’ve been before and always enjoyed it but this time was horrible. The host refused to seat me saying the restaurant was sold out for a private event and that my reservation didn’t exist even though I had a confirmation email and had to give my CC info to hold it. He seemed to think I was lying. I told him they had my CC info but he was dismissive. Of course, I can’t make another reservation on Open Table because I already had one at MKT! And guess what. I get a no-show email from OT and MKT charges $60 to my CC. I am working with MKT to get a credit (the person I spoke with on the phone at MKT was really nice and apologetic). If you do decide to go here, do not submit your CC info through OT but call the restaurant directly to make sure they’re open and have tables available.
Service is always a little slow. Why does it take so long to get the first cup of coffee at breakfast.
MKT is horrible. Bad food and worse service. Many average restaurants are much better than MKT. Go somewhere else
First rate service, good and wine list.
Reservations were easy to make online. Seating was prompt and courteous. The lobby/waiting area was inviting and sophisticated. I can’t say enough good things about the food, Even with the special order!
Celebrated my anniversary here with my fiancé and had an amazing time! Rafi and Ali attended to us well, service was prompt and friendly. Food is amazing as always, duck fat fries are crispy and flavorful!
Great menu. Good service. Warm atmosphere. Vibrant bar for a drink before dinner.
It is quite pleasant but a bit noisy. It is also overpriced. The waitress asked if we wanted bread for the table so we said yes. They charged us for it. I don’t like up selling.
