MKT has tremendous service and it always provides me with a great experience each time. I can’t wait to go back
It took asking four people To have the shade lifted so I could see out the window
I was very clear about being gluten-free and they bought the small serving of mussels and clams with two huge slices of bread on top
The fruit salad was also a very small serving and the cheesecake dessert was inedibly pastry.
The breakfast meal itself was acceptable. More on the ordinary spectrum.
The atmosphere and scenery was more exciting.
The service is nice.
If you are staying at the four seasons then it’s really convenient.
Seamless service, high standards. Great flavors and interesting dishes. Excellent wine list.
Great cocktails. Exclent tomato soup
The location is excellent, but the menu item is very limited.
The service was not Four Seasons. I frequently have business breakfast at this hotel. It took 20 minutes and 3 request to get my espresso. My client ordered a second cappuccino and a mystery milk coffee came out we had to request replacement. The servers were not their usual courteous staff.
I hope next visit is better
Amazing SF views, friendly staff and perfect service.
Ali was amazing as always. His expertise as a server shines and he always makes sure that we have a good time. I love MKT and their amazing staff!
love the avocado toast for breakfast, we had a great experience at MKT.
Good food, grossly overpriced!
It was the service that really stood out! Great job!
Wonderful location for a business meeting. Service is outstanding and the food is fresh and outstanding.
Went to MKT on New Year's Day. Hostess seated in a cute round booth. I was expecting a full brunch menu but they offered a brunch buffet with a few brunch dishes a la carte. We went for the a la carte dishes - the Migas con Huevos and the Fried Chicken Sliders (with a side of fries) were both delicious. Tried the Black Forest Torte (a big round ball of chocolate covered cherry-mousse-cake) was unexpected, a must try if you like cherries.
Service was adequate, a little sedate. Would have liked a bit more New Year pep.
We had the chance to have lunch at the MKT Restaurant for a birthday. The view from is outstanding and the food quality is very good. The staff is very welcoming and can hear any request. I really recommend this restaurant for a birthdays or business meeting.
Went for New Years’s brunch. Very limited buffet and pricy a la carte entrees.
Nice place. Great view. Food is good not great. Great service.
TOO pricey for quality! salmon over cooked and served with no side dishes. Not what you’d expect for $40.00.
Karen was amazing! She provided the best customer service possible by asking the chef if she can make a Tomahawk Steak even if it was out of the menu that day. Greatly appreciate it! MKT with its amazing food and service never disappoints.
Overall a great experience. The halibut was very bland. Main dishes don’t come with very much as far as sides.
I was disappointed this year with the Christmas Day offerings. Not well thought out, not great quality; definitely not worth $125.
My favorite treat is to go for lunch to the Four Season's MKT restaurant. I have done this for years and I have never been disappointed. Quality, service and ambiance all come together and allows a very special, enjoyable meal.
Actually because the dining room doesn't take breakfast reservations, I ate there not the bar which opens at 11am. You receive a complimentary newspaper. Peet's coffee is served which I had with ruby grapefruit juice. My meal was soft scrambled eggs and yes they did come soft scrambled. I ordered bacon to go with tge roasted new potatoes. The toast is from an artisan bakery in Oakland. So with my sourdough I had frssh butter with strawberry jam. The wait staff was very attentive. Plus the lobby was gorgeously decorated for Christmas.
Crab salad looked old. I still ate it then complained. I should have rejected it right away. Mostly romaine lettuce that didn’t look fresh.
The waiter never came back to ask how our meal was or I would have told him right away.
Other three dishes looked fine.
The food was very good, the room lovely and the service mostly excellent. I am withholding the final star because of the menu - very heavily weighted towards meat. I do not eat meat and would gladly have had some of the fish on the menu - but all of it was cooked with bacon in some way. I ended up with chicken which thankfully did not have any bacon with it, but not my first or second choice.
Very nice salmon dish with Brussel sprouts and apricot compote for lunch. It didn’t seem to pricey at $28 (same as a Niçoise salad). Service was seamless and unobtrusive. I sat with a friend catching up for two hours and they didn’t hustle us along.
We loved everything about our experience at MKT at the Four Seasons! Our server Joel was awesome!
Everything was OK, but nothing was above average to make us return. Our App came out and mostly gone before we were given our drinks and bread service. I felt like our waitress was the only one hustling. Drink was too tart, and food (scallops and tort) was again ok, but kinda bland.
Although the lounge area/ bar and kitchen were busy, the dining area felt like a calm/ serene setting that we enjoy
Food is excellent. The cocktails are creative and tasty. Upscale. It’s in a hotel so it has a more “business trip” vibe than other neighboring spots.
We arrived early for our reservation to enjoy a cocktail at the Bar. The noise level was excessive so the hostess kindly seated us at our dinner table while we waited for family to arrive. We enjoyed a peaceful glass of wine and a signature cocktail away from the bar. Our server, Ali, was exceptional, checking often to ensure our comfort. When family arrived, we ordered our hors d’ouvres and dinners along with a bottle of wine. Everything was delicious and beautifully presented. Open Table rating of 4.5 and $$ is accurate. There isn’t a swanky view but the Wells Fargo Bank offers beautifully lit old architecture. Our booth seating was comfortable. I’d return again for a special occasion.
Food was delicious! Service was okay . . . stingy with bread!
Lovely venue. Such fun to enjoy the Four Seasons. The food was wonderful.
Fabulous fish. Loved the asparagus with citrus. Very attentive service. Partner loved risotto.
What nice treat. Very nice brunch. Great service.
No Thanks - Thanksgiving Dinner.
Bad service, food quality did not equal price, bad customer service afterwards. Very disappointed with the overall experience.
My finance and I, both Gourmets and experienced in visiting high class restaurants around the world, wanted to have a romantic thanksgiving dinner for two. The MTK disappointed us on many levels. The price did not equal the quality of the food quality at all and the service was bad.
We got there in time. Before we got seated (at a half empty restaurant) we were asked to wait at the bar and have a drink. So far so good, but it took over 20min until someone even bothered to hand us a menu.
After we got finally seated, the worst was the dinner:
For 300$ for two people, we expected a curated, high class dinner. But no. The starters and desserts were served at a buffet table. So we had to get up to get our own food like a breakfast buffet at a middle class hotel. Every time I pushed myself up, my fingers got caught in the slit of the sofa filled with old crumbles - seriously disgusting! The quality of the buffet did not equal the price. Cevice was not good, tomato-mozarella okay (but sorry definitely overpriced in that context!), shrimps and the rest were whatever. Definitely nothing special.
The turkey dinner was dry and super sour. I just ate the stuffing, the rest was not eatable (worst turkey I ever had).
All together we were really disappointed. So we complained with Four Seasons. Their answer was also very unsatisfying: they basically ignored everything what we were saying and just answered that the service and quality is usually better. So the only thing they offered was that we should come back another time - basically spend even more money - and then we’d see that the service and quality is usually better.
I never had such a disappointing experience ever with a restaurant and it’s service like this. So don’t go there. Your money is better invested somewhere else.
Frequent guest over the years for Easter, Mother's Day, holiday meals and business breakfasts. This Thanksgiving, too many guests without any sense of dress code for a Four Seasons - meaning too many tracksuits, flipflops, sweatshirt hoodies. (Ok, it's Thanksgiving so relax it is but not this relaxed) Sadly, guests were smoking in men's room, guests not interested in flushing toilets, towels left on the floor. Great service at the table but the food wasn't over the top as it had been in the past. It was still lovely in many ways and we were happy to pay $120 Prix fix which was really $200 each with our drinks. BUT, it would have been nice to experience clean bathrooms and not have the feeling you're at an "all you can eat joint."
Our 5:30 reservation was not available so the hostess offered as a complimentary Champagne at the bar - she told the barman to comp. Sadly, when I got home, I saw we were charged for the complimentary Champagne. Probably a mistake but the tipping point. I would suggest when the Four Season offers large holiday feasts, they provide restroom attendants to keep things tidy. All I can remember is feeling like I was in a bus station, not a Four Seasons Hotel
A bar-seating feel to the whole place, it was a slightly less formal than we were hoping meal. There was a small buffet of appetizers which were the best part of the meal. The main dishes were not as good. Our turkey dinners arrived cold and had to be sent back. Then they arrived again with the wrong sides (one of us has a dairy allergy and they knew this but after the first dish was sent back they did not get the sides right the second time). So then we had to send that plate back AGAIN. The turkey was fairly rubbery (sous vide done wrong?) and never hot, just slightly warmer the second round. We each ended up al eating at different times so our food wouldn’t be cold. Not what you expect at the Four Seasons and for a very expensive prix fixe menu. Service was inattentive—we had to flag down a server every time, and for water refills. Dessert buffet was unremarkable. Then the bill arrived without any accommodation for the multiple mistakes. I asked the manager to look over it and all she did was take off the cost of our two drinks. Really at a fine dining restaurant after that sort of show should have been falling all over us to make it right. We won’t be back.
Our Thanksgiving dinner was superb! The appetizer & dessert bars were so different & fun. Food, service & ambiance were perfect!
From the minute we gave our name for our reservation we had excellent service! Our waiter was very attentive without being over bearing. We were not rushed and had a very relaxing lunch. I have to give a shout out for the delicious chocolate mousse cake with gelato. Great end to a celebratory meal.
