As always, the service and food/drinks were excellent. We were able to walk in and get a table on a Sat night, which is unusual but much appreciated.
Great menu with many choices. Wonderful service with servers who didn't rush you or hover. Great setting and easy parking (unlike Portland!). Good value. Will return!
Very nice place a little cold inside but altogether the food was great and the service was very good. Would go back again for that special occasion.
Excellent food and wine at a reasonable price. Not too noisy for us old fahts.
This is our favorite local restaurant which luckily compares well to the less accessible Portland high end eateries.
We love to go to MK Kitchen for date night. The atmosphere is romantic, the food is fabulous and the staff is friendly. We have also gone to MK kitchen with friends and family. It’s great for those occasions too.
MK is always great food and service , you gotta go
We went to MK for our 10th anniversary dinner, joined by another couple. we had a fantastic time. Food was amazing, as always. What I loved best is that we had appetizers, entrée and dessert with coffee and spent almost 3 1/2 hours talking, laughing and eating. Its so nice to not feel rushed. He had a fantastic anniversary.
Thanks, Patty and Keith Cook
This is are go to location for celebrating birthdays and anniversaries. Great people and consistently good food and presentation. Highly recommend.
This is such a great place for a high quality meal. Dress code is casual, but this place is so nice it deserves dressing up.
Everything about this restaurant is wonderful. The food is particularly well done--very flavorful and cooked to perfection.
MK is one of our favorite special restaurants. The staff is so pleasant. the food is delicious.
What a disappointment. The menu looked so promising, but unfortunately dinner turned out to be expensive and only so-so. The duck liver pate was the better of the dishes, but the gathered greens salad was unremarkable except for the strangely textured cheese on top. The scallops themselves were well-cooked, but the pairing of sweet roasted vegetables overwhelmed them. And everything had grapes, which is never a good sign. The only high point was the service which was excellent on a Thursday night.
I love the menu and the ambiance of the restaurant. The staff are all so kind and professional
We will be going back soon.
Love the bar area for the holidays
Wonderful experience. As good as any old port restaurant, but easier to park and get in. Lovely atmosphere for adults, with great cocktails. Small plates available so we could do a multi course meal.
We love this restaurant !! We have been to the restaurant twice in the past 30 days. Excellent service. Very nice atmosphere. We only wish there were more appetizer choices. We have reservations for another visit this week.
MK Kitchen is one of our FAVORITES! The food, atmosphere and service always exceed our expectations!
Food and service were great. Price is on the high side for this area.
Delightful, friendly service and really good food. It was crowded on a recent Saturday night, which attests to its appeal to off season locals. I hope they'll be around for a long time.
totally enjoyable experience. creative menu. delicious food. lovely presentation. attentive, knowledgeable, pleasant staff.
The ambiance and service were outstanding. And the food was delicious. One of the best restaurants I’ve been to in a long time. It’s a great local establishment and I cannot wait to go again.
Wine by the glass list is wonderful. The short ribs will melt in your mouth.
Onion tart, filet mignon, cheese stuffed dates, salmon, gelato, berry tart. All excellent. Happy that the steak was not overcooked.
I made a reservation for a party of five to celebrate my birthday 10/23. We received a warm greeting from the host and were immediately seated at a rather large, round table close to the front desk. There was a card on the table with a hand written greeting acknowledging my birthday, that was a nice touch. The restaurant was very loud due to the dance class that was taking place in the studio upstairs. After sitting for several minutes, the host poured water. We had been sitting for at least 10 minutes before our server approached. We ordered drinks and a cheese board when we finally had his attention. The drinks and appetizer were served in a timely fashion along with a small portion of bread. We were offered more bread, and it wasn’t served. The cheese board was delicious, as was my specialty cocktail. We ate the entire thing without a check-back from the server. A few minutes after the cheese board had been cleared, the server returned to take our entree order. I order first—a filet mignon, medium rare, which was the most expensive entree on the menu. The server replied, “no appetizer?” I found this to be very rude—we had already had an appetizer, and the server should have asked in a way that doesn’t make the guest feel that the order is inadequate. (Such as, “would you care to have a salad before entrées?”) We placed our order, and the food arrived in a timely fashion. Every dish was done to absolute perfection. The server checked in with us after a few bites, as he should have. Our server was generally absent, performing as if he had one table too many, and there was a lack of hospitality on his part. He could use some coaching in the way of speaking to guests and up selling techniques—always speak in the positive, “may I offer you a _____? We do have ____ which may compliment your meal. Would you like to choose—?” For the prices, the service paled in comparison to the food. It was an exquisite meal. But, I would ask for a different server next time.
Our first trip here and was pleasantly pleased with the ambiance and food. Our server was wonderful and gave us plenty of time to chat with long-lost friends before taking our order. The scallops were delicious as was the berry desert.
Enjoyed every bit of the dining experience here! Cannot wait to come back again.
You will never go wrong at MK kitchen. We have been many times and have never been disappointed.
We went for my birthday, and had an excellent experience. They even had a little happy birthday card on the table. The fois gras and date apps were very good. The salmon and the gnocci were well cooked, not over done. The risotto wasn't outstanding, but also not bad. My only complaint was location, which they can't help. A busy intersection is near by, and lots of great windows also mean lots of headlights in your eyes while you eat at night. And the parking situation was really bad. But the food was great and the server was outstanding. I will definitely be back. I do wish their dessert menu was as creative as the rest of their menu.
Everything was perfect.
We go to MK’s when we are in town. Food is incredible. On this trip I had paella which is truly the best paella I have ever had. My wife had the mushroom risotto and loved it. We also had the onion tart and lobster cones. Both delicious. I highly recommend this place to anyone that loves great food!!!
We enjoyed a wonderful dinner celebrating parents anniversary and reminiscing about the years we lived in Gorham. So great to have this fabulous restaurant in Gorham! Jeff & Jodie Genthner
Can’t say enough positive about the restaurant! The specials are always a treat!
Food was amazing, portions very good. Service excellent! Loved the special touch of a happy Anniversary card from the staff. Made you feel special. Over all. AWESOME,
Always a great meal and service. We are fortunate to have MK Kitchen in our community.
My husband and I went to MK kitchen for our 1 year anniversary. Our server was Abby and she was amazing, she was attentive, polite and knowledgeable. We both really enjoyed our meals and the price was fair. We had a great experience and will be returning!
Freshly prepared food served hot and in a timely manner.
Service was exceptional and atmosphere was semi casual and cozy. It was a great spot to stop for dinner on the way back to Portland from the Fryburg Fair.
The food and atmosphere were wonderful. The service and attention to detail were amazing. We tried the grilled romaine salad, lamb and gnocchi ragout, bolognese ziti dish. All smaller portions. Perfect. I was using a knee stroller because of foot surgery and they made sure I was comfortable. Very attentive staff. Will be going back again very soon.
When I made my reservation, I noted that I wanted a table that was tucked away a bit for my husband's birthday dinner. When we arrived they greeted us by wishing my husband a happy birthday and even had a hand written birthday card for him. When our server arrived she also wished him a happy birthday. The food was amazing! My husband had the duck and I had the salmon. We each had a different risotto with our meals and they were equally amazing. They were great portions and cooked perfectly. For dessert they brought out the flour-less chocolate cake we ordered with a candle and Happy Birthday written in chocolate. Thank you for making his birthday dinner so special.
Incredible from tee to green
