Good food, good service , great setting. Will be back
Great food. Drinks weren't exactly as ordered but small detail. Server was attentive and quick. I highly recommend
Always high quality food and wine. Wonderful vegetarian options.
Modern ambiance with excellent food. We each had soup, mine pork/miso and my wife puréed roasted red pepper. Excellent. I had a halibut entree and my wife roast chicken. Again, excellent. Friendly casual vibe. Full vegetarian menu as well. Not just one or two things. Highly recommend!
Nice menu, good flavors and presentation however our server was busy taking care of a large group and we were left for lost at times.
News Flash, why should my service be impacted by a large group, yeah I know a bigger tip
Hey Management you knew there would be many out of towners there I am sure the group had reservations so no surprise they would be there. HELLO, I had reservations too, could have added an extra server. Yeah I know why spend the payroll right?
We sat outside and it was a most pleasant way to enjoy the fabulous food. All was fresh and delicious. The wine was excellent. Our server was delightful and was most accommodating. We were the last to leave as we were enjoying ourselves so much. Great food and great ambience . The inside was just as inviting as the outside.
excellent meal, was in town for the porsche parade
Diverse menu that includes excellent meats and enticing meatless options. Dinner was a pleasure in all respects.
Very good food and service. We had a steamed clams appetizer and three lunch entrees. All of the food was very good, and the service was attentive.
Two negatives. One is that the lunch menu on opentable (which is dated one day prior to our visit) is not current, and the prices are about 10% higher. This is minor, the food available was still good. The other is that the ambience is reduced by the fact that the restaurant is in a construction zone. I am sure it will improve once the construction is over, but for the time being the nice window tables do not have the nicest view.
The menu and food at Mizina are always impressive. They have a wide variety of flavors in the food menu as well as the drink menu. Everyone can find something.
Good service , great food and very nice atmosphere
My friend and I had a nice street view corner table, very cozy and private, and had a charming waitress, who opened the 2013 Turley Zin we brought and provided excellent glassware for it. We each began with a roasted beet salad which was nicely dressed with fresh, crisp spinach, arugula, and other assorted salad stuff. Then she had an excellent curry soup, and I the seared duck breast, which came with couscouse and greens. Duck was juicy and delicious. She finished with a delicious ice cream desert. Just after we ordered a downpour of rain forced all the outdoor diners to converge into the restaurant, and service was quite delayed due to the jam up. Certainly not an everyday occurance and more a point of interest than an irritation, since we were in not hurry.
Really enjoyed our dinner at Mizuna. Delicious halibut, washed down by a Washington State Viognier. Nice atmosphere and lovely server! All good.
Solid meal with solid service. Neither blew me away, but I walked away satisfied (had an Ahi Tuna sandwich, husb had a grilled eggplant/pepper/goat cheese sandwich) with my lunch (dinner may be a bit more composed/less casual fare). I do have to remark on the olive tapenade in my sandwich - it was one of the better, tastier, and fresher tapenades that I have had, and it really worked well with the other sandwich flavors. If that is a harbinger of more complex/carefully prepared dinner dishes, I would be excited to return for dinner.
We came there as our daughter is a vegan. Your restaurant did not disappoint us in that arena!
Great service, friendly staff! Attentive but not overbearing.
We found your review on Trip Advisor and decided to give you a try. We were not disappointed. Very good service, pleasant patio, great food--we will be back.
Overall nice. Vegetarian special was disappointing with noodles inadequately drained and swimming- sauce not very interesting. Lettuce wraps weren't wrapped! Ok but not shockingly spectacular .
Salmon was excellent. Pork bellies were filling enough by themselves for a meal. Service was a bit slow.
We were seated in nice spot by window. Servers were very friendly and knowledgeable. Scallops were outstanding. Would definitely return to this spot.
Fantastic food yet again. A mistake was made with our order and our server was very quick to make it right. Another exceptional dining experience.
Mizuna has an entirely separate vegetarian menu! (Hell yes!) The food was amazing, our server was great, the drinks were perfect, and the atmosphere was cozy. One of the best dinners we've had in a while. I had the Crispy Polenta, it was probably my favorite vegetarian dish I've ever eaten. And my husband had the Ginger Fried Tofu, he loved it! We'll definitely be back.
Three of us for dinner, which allowed us to sample the rack of lamb, the scallops and the sautéed duck breast. We left with happy faces and contented palates. All really delicious. Will go back again.
We loved Mizuna! We were out of town relatives going out to dinner with our Spokane family member. We were seated in a quiet corner by the window. It might have been noisier in the middle of the room on a busy night. From where we sat the restaurant was delightful looking, sparkly lights and all. The ambiance was great. The service was great. The food was great. Would definitely go again!
Delicious meal, a great find when we were in town for a wedding.
Ambience nice---until an EXTREMELY noisy party of 12 adults were sat next to us. We had requested a quiet corner of the far, back room. Instead we got a corner of the middle room--and a large, robust group. Robust, then more robust as the alcohol flowed.
Wonderful mix of healthy food at gourmet level. Great selection of wine..
This restaurant is pricey, but worth it! The food was fantastic, and the service was good. We will definitely be going here again, and would recommend this place for special occasions or generally those who like fancy dining. 😊
Very pleased. This is my daughter's graduation party for immediate family. The service was fantastic the food was excellent and we had a wonderful time. Special Thanks to Jared our waiter for his great service.
We ate here as a family of 6 to celebrate my daughter's birthday recently and several of us are on restrictive diets (gf, vegan). The food was the best thing I have eaten in a long time! I had a sweet potato bisque that was perfectly seasoned. I also had the butter lettuce wrapped mushrooms starter that was amazing! My son said the burger was fantastic and my daughter loved her linguine with salmon. Delicious!
We loved the restaurant interior and setup, but the food was average, prices were high and it was very noisy.
Great graduation dinner. Gluten free? Check. vegetarian ? Check. great food ? Check.
Always a sold choice at mizuna. Food was great as was the vibe
We come every year for a special occasion. We were seated promptly and that was it. Totally ignored while the waiter walked by us, they gave everyone water that came in after us, and he took orders from folks after us. So we got up and left after advising we will never return. There are many nice restaurants now to pick from, we aren't desperate. But they will be if they keep this sort of lack of service. And I didn't want to award any stars, your system requires it.
We were in town for Bloomsday and a tradition is to eat a meal at Mizuna. We had really good service and our server was great at answering questions and working with me on a restricted diet. I appreciate the effort she took to helping me choose food that I could eat. I would recommend this to anyone who identifies as a foodie or likes to step a little out of their comfort zone.
The ambiance was very very nice. I love the brick walls. It was my daughter's graduation and the menu had plenty of great choices both vegan and regular menus. I order the vegan meatballs and they were amazing. My daughter ordered the vegan meatloaf and ohhhhh so very good. We ordered the Aix Rosi'e wine very nice. We had such a womderful time that I plan on making Mizuna a must for next year.
The food is fantastic, we had a few special requests for Mother's Day and they accommodated them with no issue. Can't say enough good things about this place.
delicious food and wide variety of options. everyone found something they loved.
This was my second visit. Both times the food was very good and met my vegan requirements. The music was a bit loud for me. I look forward to enjoying some additional vegan menu items one day and introducing friends and family.
It was a friend who referred me to Mizuna's last year when I was looking for a local restaurant to take an out of town guest.
Such amazing and generous portion of food! Our waitress Bailey was sweet and knowledgeable. We will be going back soon!
I visit Spokane once a year for an annual conference and make a point of dining at Mizuna at least once. This year, I'm almost embarrassed to say I had dinner there three nights in a row, introdocing different colleagues to the place. It never disappoints. The food is inventive, delicious, and beautifully presented, with as many options for vegetarians and vegans as for omnivores. Nice wine list, too. The space is warm and inviting, and an easy walk from the Riverfront attractions and downtown hotels. Spokane's finest restaurant, in my opinion.
Mixing vegan and carnivore seems weird, but it works here. I had the Moroccan chick peas, which was a little too sweet ( sweet potatoes and grapes), but it was flavorful. Would have liked more chickpeas and less rice. Friends had the pork and steak and loved it. Service was a little slow (Sunday night). Overall enjoyed it and would go back.
