Mizumi - Wynn Las Vegas Ratings and Reviews
Beautiful restaurant. Service was all over the place. They didn’t clear dishes when they brought the next course. We were just a party for two. We order salads (horrible), sashimi (yummy), 4 order of the Snow Wagyu and the Kobe Wagyu (fun to try), foie gras (not the best) and two great desserts. I think for the amount we paid, the setting, and obviously enough staff - the service should of been up to par and there was no excuse for bad salads.
Noise, bar selection and bland cocktails prevented this one from coming to the front of the line. They made an extra effort for us as it was a special occasion and our server was outstanding. We wanted to stay longer but had to move on to another bar. The food was great; get the lobster soup!!
Been there many of times and always said “best sushi I’ve ever had”.
This time we could not get our waiters attention, granted he had several large tables, my wife and I are fairly regulars and good tippers so I was very disappointed it took me asking 4 times to get some lemons for our drinks.
The food was good but well below par from my other visits. I am guessing they were understaffed but $200 later we were the ones to pay the price for that as they still got paid.
Will probably go back again but won’t be giddy in advance of the experience to come.
This was an excellent venue to visit just before our outing to see a play. The service was superb as everyone was very attentive but not over bearing. The fresh seafood was of top quality and we would even dare to say the best sushi we have had for quality of fish and presentation. We eat a lot of good sushi. The environment was quiet but not uncomfortably quiet. The drinks and recommendations were spot on. The attire is business casual to dressy. My husband only had a nice pair of jeans, as he brought mostly cooler clothes on our trip, but with a nice button up shirt did not feel out of place. We would definitely go back next time we are in town and hopefully reserve a spot on the terrace next to the waterfall.
My wife and I celebrated my birthday. Everything was amazing. Food carefully selected by chef Devin Hashimoto & sake selected by Aaron Baek. Food was beautifully arranged. Sorry already uploaded my pictures to my computer and don't have any to share. All I know is the Mizumi is hands down the best Japanese restaurant in Las Vegas. It has by far the most beautiful ambiance and now that I tried the food, it's the best! Thank you everyone great job, hope to go back again in the future. Thank you for making my birthday memorable.
This review is for the main dining room only- we have always dined at the teppan yaki tables, but decided to give this a try. I definitely would not do the main dining room again. The kitchen was really backed up and there was not enough staff. Everyone was super nice and apologized profusely, but even the food was disappointing for us. I had the short ribs, which went beyond tender to soft/ mushy and very fatty. The Mizumi roll as our appetizer was the highlight of the meal. Thank goodness I had a power bar back in the room! I would definitely come back to and recommend this place, but the teppan yaki tables only.
Had taken a seat at the sushi-bar and enjoyed authentic high-quality sushi dinner after the conference. The sushi chefs behind the bar counter were all Japanese chefs (not Koreans or Chinese) and served very meticulously prepare sushi pieces and rolls. I grew up in a small town of northern east part of Japan and have eaten fresh sushi/sashimi 365 days as a kid. I can tell that the quality of the fish they served was impeccable and I couldn’t be any happier to have found such a hidden gem in the center of Vegas. I had an interesting conversation with the chief sushi chef during the meal for I told him that my American husband did not eat raw fish. He shard some ideas with me what to try out to introduce the beauty of uncooked fish to people who were not used to it. They were such eye opening ideas and excited to try.
I visited Vagas alone this time due to a conference I needed to attend, but I will be back with my husband to enjoy authentic sushi the next time when we visit Vegas.
We were seated very quickly in a beautiful booth with a partial view of the waterfall. The salads and sushi roll were excellent and the server was very gracious. The only thing I noticed was the prep table right behind me. Our entrees were very good and the drinks were good (merlot and sake). We loved the unhurried pace of the meal and would definitely come back for lunch sometime.
The best fish/japanese cuisine I have ever had in my entire life!!! I highly highly recomend this place to anyone in vegas looking for an incredible meal. The atmosphere in the restaurant and the service was amazing. If I ever come back to vegas I will be having dinner there again! No doubt about it.
