Mizumi - Wynn Las Vegas Ratings and Reviews
What an amazing experience! We will remember this meal for years to come. Yes, it is expensive. But, it is worth every penny. This is not everyday dining. We had a table overlooking the beautiful fountain and gardens outside. Our waitress was really, really great. The seafood melted in our mouth. I highly recommend it-It was even better than Nobu!
From the minute you walk in you get the Wynn experience, nothing but first class.
Drinks at the bar before dinner were unfortunately below par - they didn’t use the good ice you expect with a good $16 cocktail which I’ve grown to love and expect...
The dinner was great. Started out with (2) sushi maki rolls...rainbow and a crab roll. Both great, especially crab.
I asked the server if there was any reason NOT to get the 72-hr braised short rib, and his response was “why would you want to do that?” Definitely a must. We also had some cold Sake at dinner which was served in a very unique container and added to The ambiance.
Not a ton of food for The money but that is expected with high quality of food. Definitely recommend. Great atmosphere as well...we did not try any dessert
The service was amazing! They were quick with our order as we had show reservations and presented my mom with a birthday dessert (noted it as a special occasion). The sushi and sashimi was delicious and fair value for being in Vegas. Will definitely return.
We selected the Omakase menu with wine pairings. It was fun and delicious. The leek soup with scallop was amazing. Quail was cooked and seasoned to perfection. Sushi platter was fabulous! We got the dessert inspired by the masks like you see on the wall of the bar area. Made of a chocolate shell over a cake filled with a chocolate lava...creative and delicious! I would do it again, without hesitation!
We had high hopes. Unfortunately, everything we ordered was very disappointing.
Our appetizer:The Lobster Roll ($40)chewy tasteless Lobster.
Our Entrees: 72 hr braised Short Rib ($70) was super fatty. Disgusting; Organic Salmon
This is a Sushi 4* restaurant...not!
Since I tasted Misumi for the first time, it has become my benchmark for sushi. Their sushi and sashimi platter is a wonder for the eyes - and for the mouth as well. Food is simply delicious, the restaurant is elegant and the service is classy. I travel to Vegas very often for work, Misumi is one of the reasons I'm happy for that.
If I was staying at the hotel again I would recommend it, but overall experience did not match up to the price and the reviews. The service we received at other restaurants was impeccable and for such high prices for sushi I would expect the same service. Also, sushi chefs were not that friendly and nothing really stood out, however the atmosphere was beautiful and the hostesses were great. I enjoyed the Robata.
We asked for a table right at the window in front of the waterfall... still, they tried to seat us one row behind when I reminded them I made reservations early and wanted to be by the glass. They accommodated us after I requested again. If you are a couple, ask for table 22 (24, 26 are on the window too) - That is where we sat - right in front of the waterfall. Our waitress was very enthusiastic and very knowledgeable about the menu, which is extensive. Definitely get the shrimp and scallop sushi as an appetizer. Out of this world.
