Mizumi Teppan - Wynn Las Vegas Ratings and Reviews
This was a 2 star Teppanyaki resturaunt with a 4 star price. A meal for 8 was $975 with an automatic $130 tip. Service was not great (Probably because waitress knows 20% is coming her way no matter) and the show from the chef was mediocre. I have been to better Teppanyaki experiences that were $35 instead of $100.
I will say the view was awesome with waterfalls out of each window.
Food was tasty, and our Teppanyaki chef Joe was great! He put on a good show and prepared the food well.
However, a couple of areas for improvement - hope the restaurant mgmt takes note:
1. The lady taking the orders was complacent and didn't seem to care about the guests. She almost dropped some sauce on me but never apologized.
2. The hostess at the front asked us to wait for seating as the teppanyaki table needed another party before seating. We waited for at least 5 minutes and then saw a new party of people checking in and being seated immediately. We were seated at the same table after them - not how one expects to be welcomed at a fine dining establishment.
Roger preparo el tepanyaki en nuestra mesa y fue encantador! Originario de China, hablaba un poco de español y su atención fue muy muy agradable e hizo más divertida la velada! El lugar muy lindo, limpio y tranquilo! La comida deliciosa! Miso sea bass delicioso!! Todo muy bien!
Had a good time here and shares a lot of laughs thanks to our cook, but overall the food was very average for the price. I enjoyed the Teppan at Aria better. (Name escapes me).
Service was okay, not great. I love Mizumi for sushi but the teppan didn't live up to expectations.
Wonderful dinner. We had a group of 7 for teppanyaki style dinner. The chef was funny and entertaining and the food was cooked to perfection. Although I love all of the other restaurants in the Wynn and Encore- Mizumi's fun and lighthearted ambience was exactly what we needed!
Have been to better teppan restaurants. The waiters were slow in the service. The teppan chefs were very polite, graceful and did tricks throughout the dinner so you had a mini show during the whole meal. The teppan menu includes an entree, salad, soup, teppan and a dessert (not good options).
We had a group of 11 for business dinner who decided last minute that we wanted teppanyaki. Despite initially having reserved a standard table for 10 the staff were most accommodating. Nice bar area that seated all of us while we waited, and also room to mill about with our drinks. Once we were seated, the table cooks were entertaining, the servers were helpful, the ambiance was very nice, and there is a large selection of food to choose from and plenty of variety in premium sakes. The food was very good. Our second time here (both teppanyaki) and we will definitely be back in the future. Perhaps next time we will try the sushi / sashimi menu.
This is a great place to share, and they even suggest family style. The food is amazing! We had the filet and shrimp. You must order the dessert with the white chocolate mask. There was seven of us we could all share in the conversation because the acoustics were great. Going back for sure.
