We were pleasantly surprised to have such delicious and authentic vegetarian dishes: vegetarian paella and vegetarian pyramid. It's rare to find chefs who are willing to just leave out the meat and trust that the traditional goodness will come through without it. Drinks were good, especially the vodka mojitos.

We had reservations and they were about to close so the restaurant was empty which made it somewhat awkward.

Went pre-concert and got there during happy hour. Had the guacamole which was very good and served with plantain chips. We had a couple of caipirinha drinks which were delicious. Orders the trio of ceviche which was only ok, the salmon was the best. I had a mango avocado salad with shrimp, others had the scallops (well cooked) and the steak tips. We all enjoyed our entrees. Shared the bananas foster empanada which was super.
We will be back!

It would have been much better but there was a young family with no control over their child running around, rolling on the floor, jumping on chairs, sitting at other tables.
The mother didn’t care. The staff thought it was funny.
I like kids, but it’s a restaurant, not an outside picnic. Especially with the virus, you don’t want a child with his hands on your table jumping up and down.

Food was delicious. Service was good. Noisy party of people sitting behind us made it difficult to converse. It happens. Not the restaurant’s fault.

The grilled octopus and ceviche appetizers were exceptional. The scallops with risotto was so delicious, best risotto I’ve ever eaten. My husband very much enjoyed his arroz con pollo.
Our friends had the paella, they enjoyed it, but thought it could have had a bit more flavor.

This has been my 4th or 5th dinner visit to Mixto with a guest within the last 14 months. Always excellent service by waitstaff. Menu & ambience are first rate. Will be planning a return visit!

Very pleasant restaurant. All personnel were friendly and helpful. Food was fine. Dessert was delicious, especially the flan which was rich and firm. Salmon, Ropa Viejo were both very good but not special.

Tried Mixto for Brunch this weekend. It was a hit! Had family visit from out of town and they were very pleased. Many Vegan Options available. Will be returning to Mixto again.

Wonderful, as always. But found the first floor a little crowded and noisy this time. May ask to be seated upstairs from now on.

We sat for 15 mins and the bartender completely ignored us. Served everyone around us. Talked to the manager and she did nothing about it. I have never received bad experience at Mixto u til now.

Great food

We always enjoy our experience at Mixto: great , Colombian and Cuban inspired food, excellent service and nice ambience. A bit more formal than their 5th Street original, but convenient to CC. We'll be back.

I've eaten here a few times and Mixto is definitely one of my favorite restaurants in Philadelphia, possibly my top favorite. It's a nice place for either a casual meal or for a notable event. The decor and atmosphere are very welcoming. Tonight our waitress was Lilianna and she was phenomenal! Very attentive but not overly intrusive, and she made great drink recommendations.

It was a romantic dinner with my husband for Valentine’s day. Love this place!

My favorite place and always good food and service.

Food was delicious and excellent service as per usual. Nina was our server, she’s patient and a true sweetheart. Had side of maduros and yellow rice. Raspberry mojito is AMAZING. And came with complimentary rose (we went on Valentine’s Day). Let the waiter know my grandma has a severe seafood allergy and she didn’t have a reaction so cross contamination wasn’t an issue. We had mofongo con pollo. She had grilled chicken with veggies and lemon butter sauce with black beans and yellow rice. I had veggie lover pyramid. Everything is so good. One of my new favorite places to eat in Philadelphia.

Awesome place great service

My wife and I went out for Valentine’s Day. We were running late and they were understanding. We were seated promptly when we finally arrived, the service was good and food was delicious.

Food was not tasty, drinks were reasonable for $6 Happy Hour. Wish we had known that the happy hour food was only available at the bar.

Excellent waitstaff & food. Needed a seating on main level for my dinner guest who had a recent hip injury, and reservations staff was very accommodating. This was about my 6th visit to Mixto within the last 12 months, and Mixto is clearly among my favorites.

Neighborhood gem and worth the drive! Excellent food preparation, quality ingredients, and a lovely welcoming staff.

Delicious brunch!

LOVED Mixto! Our party of 3 decided to order all small plates and a paella to share. Wow, did this work out great. The food was delicious! Crispy pork belly the BEST! Empanadas, Mango Salad, Calamari and Mofongo (a Puerto Rican dish ) and Vegetable Paella! We were STUFFED!!
The service was excellent along with the pitcher of traditional Mojito! We will be back whenever we visit Philadelphia.

I first went here for the winter restaurant week and was so impressed I ended up returning again two weeks later. I’m not sure if they’re open right now but I’m definitely looking forward to returning again soon!

Great place to had nice dinner or grab a drink food ver authentic service was no so great I had to go after 30 minutes waiting in the bar to ask about the table they supposed were going to go and find me but the forgot

Amazing food and great ambiance. Service was great and food came out pretty quick for how crowded it was. Definitely suggest reserving a table ahead of time for dinner. Can’t wait to go back again and try something different on the dinner menu.

I went to Mixto with my girlfriend for restaurant week 2019. The selections were excellent and the portions sizes were above our expectations. The quality of the food was high and the drink specials were surprisingly inexpensive—great weekday specials btw. My only complaint was the cook on my steak—I ordered medium rare and it came out pretty raw. I still ate it and enjoyed it. Just wish it was a little more done.

Overall, I’d recommend it to anyone and will definitely be going back for drinks are those empanadas.
