Mivan Mediterranean Cuisine
Chicken Shish Kebab
grilled marinated chicken breast cubes, served with rice and salad.
ground beef, eggplant, onions, tomatoes, served with rice.
deep fried garbanzo beans, parsley, served with three sauces: tahini, humus and hot sauce.
the food is always hot, fresh and delicious, They have a bread they bring to the table that is really good. As, if, the great food is not enough, the family who owns it are so warm and friendly. Our food server Vasaul is great. Always, welcomes us with a nice smile, remembers our drinks, food service is done so we feel pampered. Going out to a nice meal with nice people is really what its all about.
This was our first time at Milan, we wanted to get out of our rut but have a healthy meal. We were pleasantly surprised with all aspects of Milan. The food was excellent and so was the service. It is a very homey atmosphere with delicious food and good friendly service. We will definitely return.
Food was good and fast service but a little knowledge of wine options
It was fine. Nothing more. It was certainly good value compared to places in SF. Ambiance: uninspired and drafty. The food was okay: no complaints, and good portions, but we had nothing memorable. Service was fair at best - despite being empty, the service staff weren't very attentive and were poorly trained. They didn't seem to know anything about intolerances or have suggestions for what was gluten free. When I was invited to taste the wine, the waiter poured the most miniscule amount into the glass; too little to really taste. It was embarrassing - almost like the guy had never opened a bottle before. At the end, we were asked if we'd like to see the dessert menu. We said yes, and the waiter came back with... the check! So we just paid and left.
The food is wonderful and the staff lovely. It’s a very informal place to eat. I will keep going back.
Loved the meal! Service staff was excellent and attentive!
The food was good an the service was great. I would highly recommend.
Very accommodating to our needs. Fish was moist and tasty.
Great food and service at Mivan Mediterranean Cuisine! Try the Spanokopita!!!
This was our first visit to Mivan, a Turkish restaurant and were thoroughly pleased. We had the combination entree platter to start, which was a meal in itself. For dinner, we enjoyed the swordfish kebabs w/ rice and salad, and the Moussaka with red wine 🍷 For dessert, we had the tiramisu and baklava. The preparation is 5 star. We will return.
The falafels are freshly made and probably some of the best I’ve had along with the three dipping sauces that you can add to taste. The spanakopita where also good. The combo plate and the chicken Shish kabob plate was very good and flavorful. Overall we enjoyed dinning here and would definitely go back.
Small place. Was crowded when I went. The one server did his best. The food was okay. Nothing spectacular but not bad either. I had the beef kabobs with fries and a salad. Not the best Greek place I’ve been to but I’d be willing to go back and try another dish. I found mine to be a tad bland.
Family owned restaurant. Excellent Mediterranean food. Always fresh. Well prepared. We have never had a disappointing meal.
Very few vegan options. They put diary on the babaganoush, seriously! Who does that!?!? The grilled vegetable kebbab was ok. My freind ordered the lamb wrap and it was underseasoned.
Fantastic food. Had the chicken and the Alexander dish. Very quiet. Nice atmosphere!
Great, authentic food and very personable and obliging owner.
Wonderful neighborhood gem! Very reasonable, great food and service.
Great Mediterranean or actually Greek cuisine! Very authentic and gives a home made feel. Very cheap for the quality. Absolutely worth it!
Overall my sister and I had a nice meal at Mivan. It was quite quiet in the restaurant, so we were able to catch up. The service was attentive and nice. The food was fairly standard Mediterranean fare. Some dishes, like the hummus, were good, while others, like the falafels, Greek salad and bread, were just average. There was a nice selection of vegetarian fare, which we really appreciated.
love this restaurant we go at least once a month. very close to the house, food always fresh and hot, yummy warm bread and always nice service
Bread was fantastic along with olive oil garlic spread. Fried zucchini with tzatziki sauce was amazing! My husband had the beef and lamb gyros. I had the swordfish kabobs. Both were fantastic. The rice and salad even were delicious. We got the baklava and tiramisu to go and that didnt disappoint either. Smaller portions, but still an amazing value for really delicious food. Highly recommend!
Had a group of 9 with two kids. Nice cozy place that’s nice but also casual. Loved that it was on the quiet side so we could enjoy conversation as a group. We loved it all and would highly recommend. Lamb was delicious.
consistently great food. Everything so fresh and complimentary great warm bread.
This is our neighborhood gem. Food is always fresh and consistent. Family owned and operated. Very nice people. I am new at posting pictures but if they show you will see our delicious dinner. Very reasonable too
Great food, great service. A+++
Very nice neighborhood restaurant. Authentic Greek food. Chicken kebab and baklava was excellent.
We loved it. Mivan is cozy and the food is great. The service was impeccable. We highly recommend it.
Very accommodating. Delicious food options. Family friendly. Very down to earth. We had a big group and they quickly moved some tables and got us right in!
I took my mom here for Mother’s Day. Everything was very nice, but it is a small restaurant with a small staff. The restaurant was full and the staff was a little slow because of this.
Very good family owned restaurant. Warm bread and dipping sauce provided. Most plates include a green salad. Simply good food at a great price
I've been to Mivan several times and love it each time. It's a comfortable 'joint', which is relaxing, good service and very good food. It's a go-to in Burlingame for an everyday dinner spot.
Nice, quiet atmosphere; excellent food; kind servers. We met an out-of-town cousin for dinner after work and Mivan was the perfect setting.
I was really looking forward to the meal. I love Mediterranean food. But I was very disappointed. Not a lot of flavor in anything that I had. Won’t be going back.
Mivan is a local treasure, a family-owned Mediterranean eatery with a delicious menu. I highly recommend the Lamb Kavurma, the salmon, and there chicken kebabs.
always freshly prepared meals. nice family owned business. its our go to place.
Very good food. The lamb chops were very tender and the kabobs were excellent. Small and cozy place.
this is our go too restaurant. Food is always fresh, like home cooking except way better I am not doing the work. chicken kebab, kofta, salad, rice, warm bread, so yummy and still so reasonable. we love the family and have been coming here since they opened
Low key, but quaint ambiance, excellent service, and clean, unmuddied tastes for a very good meal. My husband had the combo meat plate and I had the Lamb Saute. We enjoyed both, but especially the rice, oddly enough. It was very flavorful and went with our dishes very well. We were there early on a Sunday afternoon after an afternoon Symphony matinee and will come back. Broadway Avenue comes through again!
Food is delicious! Salads would be better with other kinds of lettuce besides iceberg - but all tasted fantastic!!
