Mitch's on El Paseo Prime Seafood Ratings and Reviews
Service was a slow due to new server. No excuse! And, she showed up late! Food was excellent. Wasn't given a choice about being seated outdoors. Chairs a little uncomfortable for my elderly mother. Luckily heaters helped but feet got cold. Desserts were way overpriced.
The menu and print marketing give an impression that far exceeds the reality. Food was very average both in quality / taste and presentation. Four guest ordered four different menu item and each felt their meal was mediocre......I didn't think its possible to make short ribs dry and bland...
Our first time at Mitch's....a terrific surprise to discover how lovely a place it is.
We sat in the back patio- perfectly warm , quiet and terrific ambience for the 4 of us.
We were so easily able to share good conversation without noise.
The food was perfect, service equally perfect.
Highly recommend this restaurant anytime one wants a sweet time for
2nd time service was not good. When we first arrived all tables in the bar were dirty so no place to sit and have a drink. Took them awhile to start clearing while other people also waited. We ordered sushi as a appetizer and I guess they were behind so our dinner arrived right away and they were holding it cause it was not warm. Don’t think we will be going back again. Too many other moves places to eat.
The restaurant was packed. I asked for a table out of the hub and finally we were seated at a nice table by the fireplace which my client who is 90 appreciated the warmth on her back. There were 4 of us and everyone was very pleased with the food and the service. Our waitress, Summer, was delightful. The noise level was moderate, although certain other areas near the large parties were not. Being the holiday season - one does understand that there are large groups celebrating. The 2 Mitch's were very accommodating and watchful.
We went there for Christmas Eve dinner. It's very creative to combine sushi and seafood steakhouse. The wait stuff are all so courteous and nice. We are seated at the table located at bottom of the stairs.
That was a little bothersome and inappropriate as we can see ladies under skirt. Food ( pork chop and seafood linguini) was ok, sake was good. I appreciate them open on the eve and all the stuff were in positive spirit.
We went to Mitch's a few years ago and while we didn't have a bad time/meal we just didn't have a calling to return. Same this time: it was 'ok.' Nothing really wrong but nothing really outstanding. We did have a great server and the host/manager was very friendly. But we mentioned one seat at our table for 2 faced the back kitchen/elevator entrance. They responded that "we don't use it very much." I hoped for a better response. Somewhat of a weird ambiance with televisions, around what is generally a very nice interior (it's not a sports bar but football was on all the tv's around the place). I had a ribeye that was fine; nothing to complain about although I would have preferred it to be less tough. Tasty but nothing spectacular. That sort of sums up our experience.
We were staying nearby and our host recommended Mitch's. We were graciously welcomed by the host and our waiter was fabulous. The food was exactly what we were hoping for. We tried the shrimp and scallop dish, and the short ribs-- which were as good as the waiter promised they would be. It was a lovely evening.
