Our Server, Daniel, was outstanding!! Very pleasant gentlemen and took care of any questions we had.
It was the night of the Big Wind, but the staff worked extra hard to accommodate all diners.
My Wife had Chicken and I had Dover Sole... both awesome!
We will be back!

We sat outside on a beautiful night and you can see the beautiful mountains and open yard. The food was very good. My only complaint was that my plate was just too hot. I had scallops and shrimp and I had to remove them from the plate to keep them from continuing to cook. Everything else was great. Staff is very attentive.

I was disappointed this time. We've enjoyed Mitch's in the past for lunch. It was our first try for dinner. The four of us all felt the same. We ordered French Onion soup, and it was much too potent and salty. The waiter apologized and said that it must have been ladled from the top rather than deeper in the pot. We sent it back. I had a nice chicken with mushrooms dish that was good, not great, but no complaints. Another in our party ordered the duck breast medium rare to rare...it was overcooked to the point of being well done and dry. Another had the salmon and said that they liked it. We all asked for red wine of various variety and all were served at "desert room" temperature (warm to very warm)...wine should never be allowed to get that warm. How hard is it to keep it at "cellar temperature" (60-65 degrees) with moderate refrigeration. Long story short, I will not return for dinner...but I'll give lunch another try.

The restaurant is popular but we are not sure why. They are trying to serve Japanese sushi, steaks, seafood and Italian resulting in mediocre food at a high price. We were seated in a table for two on the fringes of the patio area on a very windy night when no one was seated inside except at the sushi bar. The restaurant was busy but we surmised that these were out of town visitors like us and did not know any better. This is a one and only time visit and we hope this review spares you from a less than desirable experience.

We wanted to treat ourselves before we head home to the potential rains in Vancouver. The patio at Mitch’s is a delightful spot to enjoy any meal they serve. Our server was Chris, who was a consummate professional. He was very friendly, efficient and attentive without being an interruption. We ordered a glass of wine and a crab cake appetizer to start. My husband had the medallions with mushrooms which he said were very tasty. I feel that my dish was far superior (we pescatarians can be like that) as I had ordered the ahi tuna sandwich. It was served on a brioche bun with avocado and some mango, and had a side of truffle fries with the most incredibly delicious wasabi mayonnaise for dipping.
If you want to treat yourself, dine here! It’s a cut above.

Unfortunately, I am allergic to dogs. I wish dogs were kept in a specific area and customers should be informed if animals are present.

Got engaged and had a celebratory dinner, and it was perfect in every way. Delicious food, really timely and appropriate service. Was hoping that since I put down my n the comments that this was a very special occasion we may have received a Little something special above and beyond, but will settle for a really good dining experience.

Fabulous! There are not enough adjectives to do Mitch’s Justice! Everything thing from the moment we entered the restaurant was perfect! Outdoor seating to service to food preparation to dessert— perfection!
I cannot imagine another restaurant on El Paseo that could match Mitch’s— From Appetizers to desserts everything was spot on !

Really disappointing food...especially for Easter! The shrimp Louis was a poor excuse for an entree salad (small, two shrimp, 3 slices of cucumber and that was it! Not even any avocado!) Mussels were not good; especially for a seafood restaurant.

The service was the highlight! Friendly and pleasing.

The lobster fried rice with truffle oil was excellent and a unique item for the restaurant. Service was a bit off, with long pauses (20 plus minutes) between finishing appetizers and entree, and then about 15 minutes between entree and dessert. Food was really good, service was just slow and no attendant to be seen to offer drinks or to provide us an update of when the dishes would be served. This was the case for everyone around us. It may have been an "off-night" or what is often the case with some restaurants- a kitchen operation that is not large enough to accommodate the dining room table space (guests) in their floor.

We were in the Palm Springs area for a week and came across Mitch's online while searching for restaurants. One of the best finds we have ever come across! The outdoor seating is fantastic! The service is fantastic! The food is delicious! (Recommend the rack of lamb for those seeking to eat meat). Great ambiance! We will definitely return when back in the Coachella Valley!

Been to Mitch’s several times. Always enjoy the food and the service. This time the food was delicious as always and our waiter was very nice. But he seemed to be over extended on his tables... very slow with drink delivery, order taking etc. They really needed to put people in other peoples sections and distribute the customers better this time.

Food was excellent as well as the wine.
Service was poor. WE were seated and a waiter did not come to our table (even with water) for over 15 minutes. they said there was a waiter mixup. Also took over 15 minutes to clear our table and bring the check.
