Mitchell's Ocean Club - Easton Town Center Ratings and Reviews
My date, whose first time it was to Ocean Club, and I were seated for our reservation, in a dining room with less than 20% of the tables already seated. We were promptly placed at the back of the room, next to the wait staff station and bathrooms, with a wonderful view of the kitchen. My seat was literally physically run into 5 times by staff. When I told the host station staff I did not appreciate the selection of table, I also stated I did not want to interrupt the rest of my date by having our table switched. After an attempt by the GM to "smooth things over" I was left even more irritated. I specifically did not want our dinner conversation to be about having been seated at, what was clearly, the worst table in the dining room. The GM informed us that there were "a million tables" we could be moved to and would we prefer to sit by the window with a view.
WHY DIDN'T YOU SEAT US THERE IN THE FIRST PLACE? Probably because of my dates casual attire, but who knows?
I brought my date there as we had some celebrating to do. I have literally been coming to Ocean Club for 16+ years. I have never been so frustratingly disappointed not only with the table location and size, considering there were so many available, but by the fact that our dinner was interrupted twice with the subject, even after specifically asking not to be bothered with it the rest of our night.
The table was so small, jokes were made by the staff when bringing our appetizers and salads because we had no space. Other waitstaff stood next to/near our table and socialized; it added to my frustration. My chair was bumped into by staff walking by 5 times, no exaggeration. The issue was compounded when it was pointed out that we could sit where ever we wanted, never mind we were put in the back, by the bathrooms.
This is my second visit to Mitchell’s and this visit did not disappoint! Took clients for a business dinner and all thoroughly enjoyed it. Outstanding ambience, fantastic food and wonderfully attentive service. The grouper with gnocchi was to die for. I could eat the club house salad everyday too. So good. Thank you for another great experience! I will definitely be back.
Went with the wife for a date night dinner. As always the food and service were very good. Drinks are always very good. The Club Manhattan drink for me accompanies any meal I get. We had the chilean sea bass and the grouper. Both meals were wonderful. The gouda cheese tots and the truffle mac and cheese are to die for. Always a favorite of ours also. Can never go wrong with the Ocean Club
Food was excellent! We started with steak tartare and Oysters Rockefeller...both were scrumptious! Impressed that we were able to order the oysters individually; never seen that before. It was perfect as we only wanted one apiece.
For our main course we split the ribeye, which was so tender and flavorful! We also split the sea bass, which was good, but could have had a little more seasoning. So nice that they split and plated each meal for us in the kitchen. The chef even cooked the steak to two different temperatures to accommodate our different tastes! That’s excellent service!
Brussel sprouts were very good. Sautéed mushrooms were a perfect compliment to the steak! Lastly, the tater tots were absolutely mouth watering!! They tasted like someone injected creamy mashed potatoes into perfectly crunchy shells...delicious!!
The cocktails were really cool! Martinis with dry ice in the glass which created a bubbling smoke effect. We had someone stop by our table to ask what we were drinking!
And our waiter’s service was impeccable!! Justin went way over and above providing great service! Cannot say enough about his attentiveness. Justin deserves a raise!
Finished off the meal with the peanut butter chocolate pie, and butter cake. Both were ok; good, but not as great as the remainder of the meal.
Overall excellent dining experience!! I will recommend to anyone who’s looking for a great meal! And by the way, I believe this is my first time providing a detailed review of a meal...it was that good!! Please feel free to post it. ;-)
Had an Amazing time for my boyfriend's birthday. Andy was an awesome waiter and was extremely attentive. I already told my boyfriend that I wanted to go back for my birthday. I have eaten at Michael Symon's restaurant in Cinci and Michael Chiarello's in Napa Valley and this was better. Seriously the best fish I've ever had. Love this place.
We decided to go there on a Sunday evening. It was a great day to go, as their bottles of wine were half off! We got a terrific bottle for little more than $20. We also opted for their three-course Surf & Turf deal, and it had several great food choices. We had not been there for a while, and I forgot just how nice it was. The food, service, and ambiance all were top notch.
My only small complaint was where the hostess first wanted to seat us. We did an early dinner, and there weren't a lot of patrons there at that point. We also had made a reservation, so it wasn't like they were trying to fit us in. The table they were going to seat us at was probably the worst one in the restaurant, facing a wall, right next to the kitchen. Really? We asked to move to another table, which was much better. I didn't understand why they would do that when the restaurant never got to capacity during our time there.
