Mitchell's Ocean Club - Easton Town Center Ratings and Reviews
The sea bass and pork porterhouse were equally delicious! The Brussels sprouts leaves I had never had before and were a delightful surprise. We sat in one of the rooms off to the side, which was also welcome so we did not have to listen to all of the noise and music.
Incredible food! Fabulous service! Those things made for a terrific experience celebrating our 1st wedding anniversary. We were disappointed that the restaurant was VERY noisy. We were hoping for a quiet, romantic experience. I sat beside my wife (instead of across from her) and we still had a hard time hearing each other.
We have been meaning to try this place for some time and finally the opportunity presented itself on a Monday evening right before the National Championship. This is a very nice place and my wife and I will be returning soon. It seems like Valentines Day would be a good fit for this place! The Grouper and Lamb was very good and the desserts were even better!!
My husband and I recently celebrated our anniversary at Ocean Club. We had never been there but heard great things. It was by far the BEST anniversary dinner we have eaten. We had drinks at the bar and then had an amazing dinner. The staff was professional and warm. We cannot wait to return!
The food and service was excellent as always. This is our favorite upscale restaurant and they never disappoint. The server asked if we were in for a special occasion and we were celebrating my daughter making the deans lust for the third semester and he immediately offered her a complimentary dessert and served it with a chocolate disc on top that said “congratulations”. Made our dinner all the more special!
Cameron Mitchell is a restaurant genius. He took the best of his experience from his old steakhouses and fish markets and created this exceptional venue which he has since shared with foodies all over the United States. We were treated to a server who understood the food, the preparation, the wines, and even the restaurant business. We aimed for the seafood dishes and he recommended a fine burgundy for us. We enjoyed scallops and oysters Rockefeller in our starters, all perfectly cooked and seasoned. But the real killers were the entrees, the ahi tuna for her and the blackened snapper for me. Absolute perfection on a plate with just the right combination of additional elements to show off the fish. Our complaints are few. It was a little noisy, as the rooms might benefit from fewer tables. Also the hostsress staff seemed a bit less professional than might be expected, actually chiding us for arriving just eight minutes early and not recommending a visit to the bar. But these are easily managed fixes and take nothing away from our hearty endorsement of this CM gem.
My wife and I have brought our 3 kids to Ocean Club for each of their birthdays for several years...they are now 20, 18 and 15 so we will be back in early March and late May...we love it. John has been our waiter a few times and he is absolutely great...so is our special round booth that is perfect for us...if we could have John and that booth every time we would be content. Likely we need to ask for that booth number for future reservations. The GM stopped by and was very professional. I would have to say that they food has gotten better even in the last year...we all thought so. Thank you.
Ocean Club is one of my all time favorite Columbus Restaurants!! I have never been disappointed with the food, ambiance or service! I had dinner with my eldest daughter who lives and works in Columbus and we had a fantastic father/daughter get together. Our waiter was one of the best we've had! Keep up the good work; I'll be back!
Had the tuna tartare and lobster roll as appetizers. Both were delicious. Club Margarita, Pear Grapefruit Fizz and Cosmopolitan all perfectly prepared and with nice presentation. Florida grouper, snapper both great. I really liked the creamed spinach. I believe it was prepared with smoked Gouda.
I took my fiancé here for our 1 year engagement anniversary, we ordered crab, sushi, a salad and jalapeño potatoes. The butter for the crab tasted like wax, our server was weird and came to the table too often. And the potatoes were very dry. Best thing was desert and lemon drop
It was great! I had the sea bass with champagne truffle sauce, and it was melt in your mouth delectable! Also highly recommend the bubbles and berries and pineapple finlandia martini. We also had the butter cake with raspberry sauce - divine! One of our Columbus favorites!
The food was absolutely delicious, and the wine list was more than sufficient to provide a wine for any meal. Our waiter was attentive and knowledgeable, and provided guidance on both food and wine selections. Our only negative comment would be in regards to the lack of space. With the number of tables, there was alimony always someone practically on top of us, either the table next to us, the serving staff, or other customers traveling to and from there tables.
Our family of four comes here once or twice a year. All of the servers are attentive and friendly. We have had the pleasure of being served by Sharon the last few times we have eaten here.
Sharon is knowledgeable about all of the dishes and answers any questions you have about ingredients or how a dish is prepared.
All dishes are homemade/handmade, fresh, creative, and sublime.
No details are overlooked (coat check, warm wet cloth to clean your hands before you begin, hot fresh bread with soft spreadable butter, drawn butter stays melted over its own candle, extra dish to discard your empty crab legs, and mouthwash in the restroom).
Tonight we had:
*Sonoma goat cheese ravioli
*"Smoking" Shellfish Tower (dry ice), comprised of HUGE shrimp cocktail and chilled crab meat
*Dutch Harbor King Crab Legs with asparagus
*King Crab stuffed Chilean Sea Bass with caramelized fennel cream sauce, roasted corn, Haricots Verts, and fingerling potatoes
*Twice baked potato (super cheesy with fresh bacon crumbles)
*Smoked Gouda tater tots
*Chocolate cake with vanilla bean ice cream and chocolate sauce
*Raspberry and lemon sorbets with a homemade almond cookie
Drinks are refreshed often, the server checks in with you frequently, servers are happy to be there, and you are made to feel welcome and valuable.
Mitchell's Ocean Club will continue to be our "go-to" eating establishment when we have time for a gastronomic feast!
