Mistura Ratings and Reviews
My husband and I went to Mistura for New Year's Eve dinner and drinks and received some of the best service ever. We are both chefs and often lament how horrible most service is in our industry--lots of hipsters who don't even bother to ask if you'd like another drink and don't seem to know much about the menu. Well, that's not the case at Mistura. Our server was very knowledgable and took care of us very well. The food was outstanding as well! We left feeling very happy with our experience and I would certainly recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants some delicious Italian food along with exceptional service!
We liked the appetizer courses, but weren’t crazy about our mains (rack of lamb and veal scallopini). The service was fairly good, with the exception of a couple odd moments where our server was interrupted in the middle of reading us the specials by another staff member and proceeded to have a quick conversation. Also, we wanted a different type of martini glass and she replied with “I don’t like our other glasses.” When we were persistent she simply brought the glass to the table and didn’t bother to transfer the drink or have the bartender do it. Not any major complaints, but when you spend over $500 on dinner for two, you expect more polished service.
Service was very disjointed and unorganized.
Very expensive pasta was served on cold plates
Meat served was marginal
Parts of the meal/service were never served.
Not recommending and certainly not going back
It's too bad as we have been going to this restaurant for over 4 years now
The food was superb, however our waitress was "new to fine dining" as she told us, and wasn't very professional. She actually argued with us about how risotto is made and didn't seem to know anything about the wine list, telling us that Chardonnay only comes from California! The other serving staff were very competent.
We ate at Mistura about 1-1/2 years ago and everything was excellent. That is why I chose
Mistura to impress a business colleague of mine. What a disappointment!
Service was ok, but the food was not up to the standard of a year and a half ago.
It was no better than an ordinary restaurant. The Scotch I had before dinner was pitifully
small, not even one-finger. Shame for the price of it.
My wife and I will not be returning.
Had another enjoyable evening at Mistura.
Found everyone to be friendly, efficient and knowledgeable. Food was excellent...you must try the crispy artichokes and the wild boar agnolotti...both were incredible! The beet risotto is also very, very good. QPR was very high, especially for the general area.
Will definitely be returning!
we had a party of six and were celebrating a number of things including two wedding anniversaries. The service and food were outstanding. The wine recommendation was excellent. Offered us complimentary lemoncello at the end of the meal.
We must go here even more often.
The only thing we can slight this area for is the parking! It's really such a pain to drive there and then have to walk 3-4 blocks to reach the restaurant. Valet parking is an annoying expense so we have taken to taxis and from mid town that adds to the night out as well. Local area restaurants see more of our custom for that simple reason. We'd like to be closer to Mistura.
-good wine selection
-service was very good
-manager came to speak with us after we told our lovely waitress that one of the meals was not appreciated .
-the manager gave us a dessert platter ...a wonderful gesture. Thank you.
-the chicken was nothing special.
-the risotto with fish was very good
-I preferred the menu from last year.
- beautiful restaurant and attentive staff
- too expensive for what we ate
-3 times someone tried to take away the bread. we hung on the first 2 times but gave it up the 3rd time. Why was everyone eager to remove the unfinished bread before we got through 1/2 way through our meal ?
Classic Italian done really well. You can't leave without having the bolognese or the wild boar Agnolotti pasta to start. If you're there soon I'd suggest getting the semifreddo for dessert but sharing it as it's deceivingly filling! Mistura was consistent as always!
Everything we had was delicious , creative, and appealingly plated.
My husband had the lobster bisque risotto which was very flavourful and the rice was done to perfection.
I had the braised lamb ribs which were rich and tasty, and an extra specially big treat for me because I don't eat pork ribs, and I do love lamb. I was told that they take 2 days to prepare; they taste as if much care and attention go into this favourite.
The panier of varied breads was excellent; the fresh, soft focaccia was lovely.
As we made our wine choices, as well as main course, we were aided expertly by our server, who helped my GF husband navigate what would be acceptable for him.
Both manager and 'Chef' came by our table to be sure we were happily satisfied with everything.
We heartily recommend Mistura . Our experience was a very positive one.
The people were very nice when we 1st walked in but the evening went sideways when they didn't have wine on the menu available. We were later told by someone that they did have the wine we requested just we asked the wrong person???. Not really sure what that meant. Our waitress basically put her fingers in my food when I asked what certain things were in our salad. The food was ok, nothing special. I was there to celebrate my wife's birthday and couldn't wait to leave. We didn't want to take a chance on dessert and be disappointed again. They even knew that we were there celebrating my wife birthday and didn't even offer anything. I will never go back or recommend this dated restaurant to anyone I know. The overall experience was terrible.
We arrived at Mistura a little early but enjoyed our time at the bar while we waited the hostess kept us up to date on our table and we did not feel we waited too long either. The waiter was pleasant and the food was excellent, our buratta to start was tasty and both of our mains were cooked to perfection. We both had a couple of glasses of the house cabernet and without knowing the label I can say I wouldn't have been able to pick one better. The restaurant was busy and all the tables were being enjoyed, we even seen Buck Martinez a couple tables over
Absolutely fantastic meal. We had the artichokes and crispy shrimp to start. Both very unique and tasty. I had the wild boar agnolotti for my main; my boyfriend had the lamb ribs - both outstanding! Really enjoyed the flourless chocolate cake for dessert. Will certainly go back!
