We had several snacks, small plates, two entrees and a dessert. The snacks were our favorite! We had the cuban croquettes, salmon bites and butternut squash beignets. They were all delicious!!! As for them being snacks, we felt they were very substantial! For small plates, we had the great Meadow Farm Salad, Shrimp ceviche, reuben carpaccio and the pork memelas. Our two favorites were definitely the reuben carpaccio and pork memelas which were like corn cakes. The ceviche was fine but not as special as the others. The only one we weren't impressed with was the farm salad. We thought it would have a lot of root vegetables but it was more lettuce with a cheese crumble than anything else. For entrees, we had the steak and skate. The steak was small but great!

The food was amazing and the wait staff was outstanding. Drinks were well made and the server (Andre) even gave us some champagne for our anniversary. I would highly recommend Mistral.

Went there for brunch last weekend ~ we had a party of 4. We really liked the brunch menu and ambience seemed cool which was why we decided to try. Everyone’s food was fantastic and service was excellent. Would recommend for certain.

This was our first time dining here~and what a treasure. Imaginative food, great ambience, and we will return. We really enjoyed our cocktails!! and the fried purse that was on the snack part of the menu was definitely worth returning for.

There are businesses, and there are BUSINESSES!!! The difference is in style, in ambiance. It depends in- what the goal is, and how far one is ready to go to succeed, to advance, to make a customer happy. Mistral /Elements of Princeton is one of those few... They would go to the ends of the Earth to leave a good impression or to correct a little mishap if it ever happens. There are no words in English language yet… to describe the food, the service, the amount of efforts designated to reach an absolute perfection in anything humanly possible. Yes, this is who they are in my humble opinion. If even one in ten business in the blessed country of ours would be like them, we would have definitely lived in paradise. Yes, we would have. I can whole heartedly recommend them to anyone who is in love with amazing food and outstanding service! To those who want to be impressed, entertained and astonished by what this people will do for you. This is about a good news. The other news… If you visit them even once, and taste their unique cuisine, you will have a hard time finding a comparable place and will be hooked forever. Don’t try to find another place where the food is as amazing, the service is as impeccable, and the prices are not overbearing and not ridiculously inflated. You will not find one… So. Don’t waste your time. Come and enjoy a little Island of Unbelievable food and service in the very middle of Princeton. It is there for you to be impressed and pampered. I can guarantee you that much. Serge. Just a thankful customer.

There were some very unique and tasty food options. We had the pork and blackened skate. Very good options. Atmosphere was good and service was outstanding. It was a bit pricey though, not only the food but $12 for an IPA? Will probably come back and try brunch next time.

As I discussed with the manager at Mistral to no avail, this has been my favorite restaurant in Princeton. Last night the portion size of my "large plate" was not just small, but tiny. I was told that this was impossible, as everything is weighed. Not this time. Generally love the place and their inventive cuisine, but hesitant now to return any time soon.

We went for brunch. The biscuits were outstanding. Everything else was meh, except for our server who was also lovely. The desserts were too crazy - way too many elements in one dish and those actually flat out didn't taste good. Nice decor and ambiance.

First time dining here, came on the earlier side and restaurant inside was already buzzing. We ate on the covered patio which was noisy as well but the tables were more widely spaced so a better choice for us. Food and service were very good, and though on the higher end price wise we felt it was worth it. Interesting presentations, flavorful and unusual but not weird combinations of tastes, overall would return with friends

Walked in and was seated at a table where there was a cold draft from outside. Before we even said anything, our waiter shut the door and made sure we're comfortable before taking our order. Would recommend!

It’s nice to go out to dinner and know that there is a wonderful chef in the kitchen!!!! Celebrated a birthday. Everything was beautiful, service was impeccable. Food was outstanding ,already recommended it to at least five of my friends. !! Already talking about going out to dinner again very soon!!!

It as a birthday celebration. We’d only been to Mistral once before. We skipped oysters (a favorite) and had the smoked fish gougeres and salmon bites. Interesting, tasty, so glad we tried team. We both had scallops, with squash, with greens, strong but tasty sauce. Lemon Verbena dessert was fantastic. Wine serving was too small for the price. Very nice evening.

Food was great, cocktails were great, and the servers were very accommodating and apologetic for the simple issue that occurred during dinner. I had 5:45 dinner, was forced to give up table at 7:30. When me and my date are enjoying the evening and intend on getting more cocktails, the check was automatically placed on our table without any consideration for we wanted anything else. It was not only embarrassing for me, but very tedious for us to go and find another place to sit down. As much as I usually enjoy this place, this experience will make me second guess my decision on coming here with guests.

It’s always nice to have a meal at Mistral. Best area to dine is at the bar overlooking the kitchen. Fun to see how the sauce is made! This evening we sat in the patio area - calm, quiet, relaxing. However, I found the food too salty, especially the wings. We ordered four appetizers and two rounds of drinks. The salmon bites were exquisite, the wings way too salty, the shrimp a bit mushy, and the carpaccio missed the mark. I’ll go back but will order differently.

The food was excellent but I couldn’t figure out if they had A/C or it was broken. We were seated in the room with the open kitchen and not only was it ridiculously hot, but I kept having to swat away gnats because the host stand area had the front door open.

Effortfully good. If feeling like more of a foodie than typical Mercer County dining might allow - this place is good for you. For total satisfaction - not fully there. A sort of ungenerous menu - don’t go to this restaurant “in the mood” for anything. A few plates to share and experiment and enjoy… that’s the right approach. We went on a hot evening and the AC wasn’t working. Let’s say there was little the staff could do but they didn’t deal with it particularly well. Tell us before we sit down and be up front and honest.it was uncomfortable but no one on the restaurant staff was quite willing to admit that.
