What an amazing meal we had at Mistral tonight! We have lived in New Jersey for 21 years and I can’t believe we are just discovering it now. From the snacks (brussel sprouts and foie gras PB&J) to the appetizers (beef tartare and tuna ceviche) to the entrees (wagyu steak and crispy Black Sea bass) and finally the desserts of butterscotch pot de creme and milk and honey, everything was over the top incredible! Mike was an awesome server. I highly recommend and can’t wait to come back with our college aged sons!

We made a reservation for “outdoor” dining which was billed as a heated open patio. The reality was a crowded completely enclosed space with heaters and a fireplace on at full blast. There was no ventilation and our table for 2 was situated about 3 feet from a table of 6. The rest of the dining room was filled and tables were not spaced 6+ feet apart. Our waiter sensed our discomfort and did move our table away from the table for 6 but it really wasn’t a comfortable or safe- feeling outdoor dining experience. For those who still prefer to dine outdoors this is not a good option.

Wow. Exceptional food. Everything was very good but each appetizer, salad, and main dish was a work of art.

Nice ambience; right from the usher to the waiter(s) and cleaner(s) all staff members were courteous and friendly. Nice menu, but very few options for vegetarians. Bar / Drinks menu is great; some unique cocktails. I was told that the produce comes from local farms; overall good experience.

I think they are really heavy handed with the salt. And they try to do too much with some of the dishes and you lose the flavor of the main event.

This is my second time in less than 2 weeks dining here! It was so enjoyable the first time I wanted to insure it was as great the second time around!
I hope to make this a regular on my list of eateries.
Oh, the waitperson we had both times was “ Mike”! He actually remembered the exact adult beverages my husband and I each had the first visit! Mike is a treasure and asset to Mistral...

The food and vibes here were fantastic—the best crab cake I've ever had, along with a delicious drinks menu. Would absolutely recommend!

Our food took a while. Loved back room with fire for brunch. Service good , but many items not hot ... eggs Benedict lukewarm is not good unless hot . Food alittle salty. Ramen noodles were undercooked. Sunday brunch

The service and food were very good, like always. But dining on the patio tonight was not “outdoor dining.” In the past, I have felt very safe at Mistral dining on the patio . It was open to the outdoors with plenty of air flow, even if chillier. Tonight, the patio was completely closed. Not what I expected and I did not feel safe.

I would have given this place 5 stars if not for the hostess. We arrived at the place 3 minutes early but were told it was "too early" and we have to wait OUTSIDE until our reservation time! I have never heard of this. Why can't just sit at our table, it's only 3 min. Nowhere on their website or reservation confirmation did it mention seating at exactly your time. Her personality also was not fitting for a host. I did not catch her name, but I hope I do not see her again. If not for the food, I would not come back.

Anyways, on to the good stuff! Our server, Mike was great. He was friendly and welcoming and was open to questions about the menu. For starters we got the Oysters, which were very fresh and delicious. I ordered the Wagyu steak and my friends had Scallops and Tuna Ceviche. My only complaint is that the scallops were too salty, but everything else was delicious and fresh. I will definitely return.

Quickly becoming our favorite restaurant! The menu is always changing and the cocktails are exceptional!

Beautiful space. Gracious service. Consistently delectable food all around. A bit pricey but well worth it.

Dinner was amazing including the cocktails and wine! Definitely will be back.

It was Valentine’s Day - super set menu at brunch and dinner!! Olivia looked after us. She was great! Thank you.

The food was very good as it always is at Mistral. Our server, Christian, was extremely pleasant and attentive. The ambiance and distancing in the upstairs room was perfect for conditions. My only comment was that the wines for the pairing did not match the quality of the food offerings.

The food was great, everything was fresh! However, the outdoor wasn’t as open and the heat lamps got super hot and gave me a headache by the end

Valentine's Day Brunch 2021. Arrived at 2:00 and was immediately seated by the kitchen which was extremely noisy, with wait staff energetically in motion. I requested a quieter table, but none available. Was seated at the bar table at the bar. Better, but the atmosphere a little lacking..Also had to wear our coats as we were seated by removal partitions adjacent to the outdoor seating and I think the heat wasn't working. otherwise, the 3-course Brunch was enjoyable. We weren't rushed and courses were properly paced which enabled us to enjoy our company. The menu was not typical and very flavourful. The Bloody Mary's were particularly good, with spiciness and depth that was spot-on!

The patio is fully enclosed, this is basically indoor dining and calling it outdoor dining. There’s not a lot of space in between tables, but partitions (ok if it was actual outdoor dining).

Wonderful Valentine’s Day menu

On 2/13/21 Mistral was offering a special three course fixed price Valentine's meal. Excellent. The lamb shank was perfect.
