BEAUTIFUL HOTEL WORTH SEEING ….
FOOD WAS GOOD JUST A LITTLE ON THE EXPENSIVE SIDE ....
Went there for their fried chicken dinner special. Have been many times to this restaurant with no issue, but this visit was very different. We saw our waiter twice in a period of 1.5 hours. The chicken was burnt/dry, the mashed potatoes tasted the same as boxed potatoes and the portion size was tiny (since the meal was sharing for 4), the corn had no flavor. The meal apparently came with dessert but our waiter didn't explain that. After waiting an hour for a pre-done meal we were ready to go, when asked for the check while he filled our beverage glasses for the first time (1.5 hours later) he said 'but you didn't get dessert and it comes with it'...sorry we are out of here. Horrible experience all the way around. And to top it off since we asked for our bill it caused a manager to come over, she did nothing but came over and said 'the check is coming', she didn't ask how the food was, the service, nothing.
way over priced food no parking had to walk far food took way to long to get over 45 minutes
I wrote already to the online contact us email with no response so I will write it here as well. We arrived for our 730 reservations the waiter told us the food was running behind, we did not know that meant 30-45 min behind. The food came out cold, the waiter did not come back and check on us until the end of dinner, the pie looked like someone slopped it on a plate. I really want my money back because this was NOT a great experience, nor good food. My husband felt inclinned to still tip the waiter even though he DID NOT do anything except bring out the food and pie. Yes, we sat there with empty drink glasses. If this is how this experience is intended then NOONE should attend this event. I really want a refund on this dinner.
We were extremely disappointed in both service and the meal. Wouldn't eat here again.
Muy buen servicio
The service was great. However the food was subpar. One would think for the price, they would at least keep the food fresh looking and not so chewy. The meat options were a bit chewy, well done, and dry. The salmon, beef, and chicken. It's a shame.
Our server was excellent. We had a great time in the bar and in the restaurant for our 41st anniversary.
I absolutely loved it and so did my company!
So, many great picture opportunities!
Ever one is so friendly and most important was the food!
Plus endless mimosas!!!
Live jazz music and option to sit indoor and outdoor!
Romantic, fun and beautiful!
Just super disappointed with this visit. A lot of the foods that should be warm weren't. Eggs Benedict was cold. The crab legs were beyond salty, not edibles. The prime rib was extremely bland. Everything just kinda missed the mark. I didn't have a tasty bite throughout everything I tried. Definitely a waste of money this time out. I stopped eating before I was full because nothing sounded good after so many fails.
This was my first time visiting this restaurant. There was so much great food. I sat in the patio by the fountain. It was so wonderful.
We went for the fried chicken dinner special, it was served family style and I must say the food was very good. Service staff were very attentive and took care of our requests very quickly. Really enjoyed the ambiance of the Mission Inn and will definitely be returning for brunch and future meals.
Great dining experience, food service and ambience perfect.
Went for the fried chicken dinner and were given undercooked chicken twice! I have never written a review before. They then also recooked our first underdone chicken which was then overdone and burnt. What a disappointment!
We love the Mission Inn. Outstanding ambiance, especially the patio at the Mexican Restaurant and the courtyard patio at the Mission Inn Restaurant for brunch. Our latest trip was for the Thursday night fried chicken dinner served family style. Great ambiance and service as always, but the food was less than noteworthy. I think sometimes when it comes to old fashioned comfort food, you need to go to the places that are known for serving food like that, and we learned that the Mission Inn just isn't one of those places. You're much better off to order off the regular full menu. We will be back for the Sunday Brunch, which is stellar-- I definitely recommend that!
Great food and selection .we had agreat waiter who was. Dry attentive and tookreally care of us and my friends.would recommend this brunch to any one who likes great atmosphere and good food and service.
An early dinner during the week had few customers. So, very quiet, great service, and good food.
One could spend well over $250. On drink# and meals and you would think your $16 parking would me taken care of. Drip$...drip$...
I love the Mission inn but i was very dissappointed with their Ceasar Salad it was wilted and taste a day old. $12 for that was not worth that price.
Thanks to Edgar for the great service and Derek. The patio was full and we were escorted to a delightful table inside. Architecture is amazing and I look forward to the opening of the new art gallery. Salmon was done to perfection and a taste of the tiramisu proved it to be delicious.
The fried chicken and pasta with Italian sausage are a couple of our favorite dishes.
We loved the atmosphere. The evening was perfect, weather-wise, so we were seated on the patio. Couldn't have had a better experience!
We were seated at the loudest part of the restaurant because they wouldn’t accommodate us to sit at a quieter area because they were so busy, supposedly. That killed the mood right off the bat. They’ve increased their prices to about $47 per person and they lowered the quality of food and limited the variety. You’re better off driving to Long Beach for The Queen Mary.
The best Sunday brunch to celebrate a special occasion.
Celebrating a birthday
Great selection of food and beautiful atmosphere. Live music on the patio, bottomless champagne and fantastic desert options
wata gr8🍗chikN dN! food was DLish! wE wiL do it AgN!
We love coming here for dessert and coffee/cappuccino. On this particular visit, we had waited a little longer than usual for our waiter to attend us and take our orders. In fact, a man from a different table came over to warn us that they waited 45 minutes before menus had been brought.
The food had no taste and the service was very bad.
The Mission Inn is beautiful. You can't find a more beautiful location in Riverside. We have eaten there many times over the years. This particular evening we went with friends to try a fried chicken dinner for four The Missuon Inn was advertising. The dinner was much better than I had hoped. The chicken was tasty and biscuits were particularly scrumptious, although the family style serving of coleslaw was paltry. However, what was truly shocking was that the service was horrendous! Although the waiter was polite, he disappeared frequently and we had to wait an eternity for our food. Dessert was less appealing. Cold apple pie. And it took another eternity to serve.
The Mission Inn is a historical place in the history of riverside. The food is good. The scenery is great.
Great Brunch, the wide selection of fresh food. Champagne included. Great service. Perfect place for a group dining and special occasions.
Perfect location and Venue! Excellent food and presentation and service is great!!
Have NEVER been disappointed. Extremely good service and food, WELL worth the money for a nice brunch.
Wonderful. Beautiful. Great food.
Celebrated my sisters birthday here. The food was tasty; some people in our party are vegan and they were able to accommodate. The out door patio is so beautiful at night, feels like you’re dinning in Europe. The only down side was the service was a little slow. The servers were great, I just think they had a lot of tables to handle. I would definitely recommend coming here for a romantic dinner or celebration dinner 😊
I made a reservation for a Chicken special dinner for $49.95 for 4 servings. We arrived at the restaurant and the special was not yet in force. The on-line reservation did not indicate the Special was not in force. It noted the Special ended on 9/23/2018. When we arrived to the restaurant the manager attempted to explain the situation but offered no compensation. We decided to order from the menu and the Chicken dinner was $19.99. We decided to order the menu dinner and then we found it was an old menu and the price was now $26.99. Good customer service prevailed to a point. The Mission Inn Restaurant provided some of the Chicken dinner at the $49.99 price and could not provide the entire meal. At least dessert could have been a compensation at no cost. Additonally there should have not been a discussion about the Special not being offered yet with the guest. The Manager should have notified our party the Offer was not starting still next week but the Mission Inn would honor their on-line advertisement. It was very uncomfortable and awkward to say the least when the Manager over explained the issue hoping either for us to leave or order directly off the menu. The Server, Darcy was excellent and very professional. Wish I could say the same for the Manager.
Food is really good, the place is beautiful, however I feel the staff fell short in their customer service.
Liked the atmosphere and seafood, main dishes, salads for brunch very much.
The reason I only gave 4 stars is their brunch champagne is not good- tasted sweet and cheap! There’s got to be a better alternative for good tasting house champagne served for their pricey brunch!
Also, desserts were just so-so. Very ordinary and dull.
Nice patio venue however.
Food was delicious and so many options. My favorites were the bread pudding, ribeye, crab legs and creme brulee.
