We enjoy the Mission Inn Restaurant. We come by several times a year and always on our anniversary.
Beautiful outdoor area. Delicious food. Great service
Fantastic as always, we have come several times for special occasions and it is worth the money every time. The service and selection is outstanding, the outside patio is just perfect. And you can't beat bottomless mimosas for Sunday brunch! Please don't change a thing!
Loved the building, service and food! Valet parking very handy and inexpensive.
Great atmosphere and food delicious. Always a must go for brunch
It is always a treat to go to the Mission Inn. The atmosphere is lovely and the hotel itself is a treasure. The food quality on the brunch isn't great, the desserts don't taste homemade and are pretty low quality. The food is just really average but the price is reasonable and the service is always really good. Also, they don't do a great job of restocking the food when it runs out or cleaning the tables up so you don't get the feeling it's a quality brunch buffet. However, it is still a fun place to go on a Sunday and meet friends.
Our experience at the Mission Inn Sunday Brunch was very nice. At first we were seated in an area that was very noisy. However, when we asked to be moved to a quieter room, we were immediately accomodated. The server was excellent and even went out of her way to find out where they get their bacon and sausage when my husband inquired about it.
Family brunch, one of the best service you can receive and quality of food they serve
Noise level from nearby party was distracting at times. Server was disappointing - not at all warm or welcoming, unlike my usual experience here. More heaters would have been welcome on the patio since it was a very cool evening.
Meeting with friends
Loved the ambiance and the service! This is our second time here and we'll definitively come back again!
Thank you for your friendly waiters/waitresses.
We were originally taken to the outdoor seating area where there was a loud party going on and small children running around. There were a number of uncleared tables and no tables set for diners. Three workers were standing doing nothing. We requested an inside table at that point. We ordered; my salad was delivered. Before I finished, the entree arrived. I complained to the waiter who offered to keep it warm for me. I accepted it, and it was cold. When I complained, a discount was given on the check. I have been there a number of times. Previously, I had very good service.
Again. Was there for a special occasion and they couldn’t be bothered. Service was off once again.
Great outdoor venue but has a limited menu, all in all we enjoyed well presented meals in
a lovely setting.
We made a reservation for 10:45 am for early brunch. We were greeted and seated on time. I requested a table in the Terraza near the fountain, we were celebrating our engagement. At the beginning our server was attentive, my fiancé and I decided to start with some fruit and dessert and mimosas. We love this place, never been disappointed on the food, however after an 1hr 1/2 or so my fiancé decided to get small pastry to have with coffee, meanwhile the server (Tiffany) came by drop the check and left, I saw her and decided to give her the CC and requested another mimosa, she came back with the paid check and said once the check has been paid we cannot longer served mimosas. My fiancé came back from getting dessert I told her we cannot order anything else because the check was paid, when the server came back my Fiancé requested a coffee the server said she was making an exception. I never heard of such thing, I been coming here for many years we lived down the street and we were so surprise the server told us this. I didn't want to make it a big deal since it was a very special day for us, my fiancé went to speak with the manager but because I didn't wan too ruin this day we left.
Very pleased with our service and brunch buffet food selection.
Had my birthday here beautiful place to dine
But my only concern is the wait time for food (took more than 40 min wait and not even a complementary bday desert. But overall good restaurant
Beautiful location and food we had was good. Lobster bisque was great. Friday night was very busy so service was a little slow.
Lunch with good friends. The patio is the most atmospheric outdoor dining anywhere. Being there would be terrific even if the food and the service were just OK. But the food is good and the service was wonderful too.
This was quite the experience. Food was fair and expensive. They like to push their lunch buffet.
Seating is awkward, and valet park is $11. Sorry, did not care for this at all.
Very courteous staff. Very beautiful and calming. Great service, it was perfection! The cheesecake was to die for! I normally never eat dessert, it came with the prime rib special. Well worth it! Thank you for a fantastic evening!
The Historic Mission Inn regaled us with happy pumpkins at the entry. Illuminated strands of lights were reminders of the "Festival of Lights" to come. Entry from main entrance is left then right. We were greeted by name as the marble, ornate custom ceilings and soft illumination provided optimal backdrop for photos.
Service this time was not "lightning" as the queue was large. Observed laughing patrons filling the bright tile (cedars of Lebanon?), fountain ridden courtyard while the red umbrellas shaded them. Pan Seared Salmon was simply superb on its' bed of rice with crisp golden zucchini.
Lunchtime dessert presented in the shape of a petit edible tower of caramelized bananas--with texturized swirled cream in the middle ---on a crisp cookie-like textured base. Taste was enough to get me motioning " for a post sweet walk." Marble was clean, floors shined and reflected, and kindness oozed like caramel.
W were fortunate to enjoy the last of the pumpkin festival, and have a peek at the Holiday light set up. We chose to eat in the courtyard restaurant. It is just beautiful, certainly as lovely as being in Europe . This is Ambiance with a capitol "A".We each had a very different meal ranging from sandwhich to snacks. the service was perfect. We were there to talk, and our waiter allowed us all the time we needed to catch up before ordering. The choices on the menu were salads, full course meals, and everything in between. A lunch buffet was also available. We recommend this restaurant for any formal celebration, or just a wonderful place to sit outside and enjoy your friends and good food.
The waitress had a very awful attitude towards us and wasn’t very helpful. She took forever to come pick up our bill and was very un apologetic.
The food wasn't that good, especially the breakfast buffet. However, the setting and the hotel are outstanding and it is a excellent place to meet friends and visit.
I had asked for a table outside in the shade. It wasn’t particularly in the shade but the waitress ensured that the umbrella was moved accordingly. She was wonderful, unfortunately I’ve forgotten her name. The only complaint I have is the vegetables were undone. I should have sent them back but I was busy talking.
Great place to meet friends you haven’t seen for years. It was quite so you could converse. We have been to MI each time we have visited California from Missouri and we will return if possible.
Although the Mission Inn Hotel was apparently very busy, the restaurant was not.
The upside of this was that we we were able to secure a lovely table in the courtyard but the downside was that the place was rather quiet and lacking in ambience.
Service was good but, again perhaps because of the lack of diners, a bit over-attentive. Being constantly asked if everything is fine every few minutes gets to be a bit irksome after a while.
Mission Inn Restaurant was a beautiful dining experience on the patio! The ambiance is lovely, food and service are good.
We went for our 7 year anniversary to the mission inn for the first time. We loved it and are willing to go back again next year! The food was excellent the deserts are amazing. We had the creme burlee with berries wow it was yummy and perfect!
A very good restaurant in an absolutely beautiful and historic property.
First class service, very good drinks and wine list and good food. Certainly not for budget dining, but you simply can’t beat the venue. We look forward to returning on our next trip West.
We had a very large party at the Sunday Brunch at the Mission Inn this past Sunday. We had 9 Adults (one elderly in a wheelchair) and one infant (5 mos. old). The staff was so very accommodating to our group and placed us in a lovely and private location. Beth was our server, and she made us feel very welcome and attended to. The food selection was outstanding at the brunch, and everyone in our party raved about what a wonderful experience the Sunday Brunch get together turned out for our party. The Restaurant Manager also came over and introduced himself and the entire wait staff we met were top notch! We would highly recommend this beautiful place if you want a very special place to meet for a wonderful meal. The pricing at about $45 each for the buffet was very well worth it in our opinion. Can't thank you all enough for making us all feel special during our visit to the Mission Inn in Riverside!
Beautiful setting for date, celebration or just a nice stop after a day of sightseeing or shopping! So beautiful!!
Always delicious food choices, amazing service, and beautiful atmosphere!
Excellent customer service all around
Decorated for the autumn season
There was a wedding reception being held there with really loud music. It was extremely annoying.
Food took a long time even though the place was empty. Worst $40 steak I’ve ever had. Side items were unseasoned and without flavor.
We were seated in the beautiful courtyard and I'm pretty sure I ate my weight in seafood (shrimp, crab legs, smoked salmon and smoked trout, scallop ceviche. The eggs benedict was very good and the whole family found food to enjoy. The endless champagne and orange juice were both very nice. Great service. Beautiful and fun atmosphere for all ages.
We were a party of 6 and opted to get the lunch buffet, it's a pretty good deal for $23++. The roast beef was soooo good! There are varieties of desserts too! Their brewd coffee is one of the best coffees I've tasted and it comes in a large cup. Our server was such a sweet lady. We will come back for sure :)
With the table reservation requested a table on the outside patio, unfortunately on our arrival it was raining and as a result the patio was closed and we were shown to a table in the main dining room. We were given menus but advised there was a breakfast buffet available, assuming a normal breakfast buffet we both opted for the buffet. Unfortunately we found the buffet to lack many of the normal items, no juice, toast bagels etc, just limited offerings of hot food and a few bakery items. The hot food was OK but not hot which was a disappointment. The ambiance and service were good but the buffet was well below what one would expect at The mission and a lesson learned, opt for the Al La Carte menu for breakfast, in the past have tried many items and they have all been excellent and much better than our Buffet experience.
Beautiful atmosphere within the Mission Inn, either patio dining or inside. Very special.
