Great place to go for brunch. Excellent service and quality of food.

We have dined at at the Mission Inn Restaurant for our anniversary two of the past three years. Three years ago we had an issue with our anniversary lunch that wasn’t resolved to our satisfaction...but since we could dine on the patio courtyard in these Covid-19 times, we decided to return for our 20th Anniversary. It was a complete disaster. The waiter messed-up the order and the kitchen couldn’t execute the Asian Chicken Salad recipe properly (oops - we forgot to include the chicken...would you like this dry, grilled chicken on a plate instead?). They brought me a turkey club sandwich instead of the grilled chicken sandwich I ordered. When my sandwich finally arrived (after my wife was done eating) it had a greasy brioche roll top and dry chicken inside. We ordered Creme Brûlée for our anniversary dessert, and while it had a nice caramelized topping, someone forgot to add vanilla bean in the custard filling so it was bland and tasteless. Holy-smokes...how could such a beautiful historical hotel fail to execute a simple lunch for two people twice? Which reminds me to say how uninteresting the lunch menu is...I’m not even sure it’s been updated in three years...and if it has it’s more boring than before!

My husband and I enjoyed both meals we had on the Spanish patio. I highly recommend a visit and get a reservation, it was super helpful. We were seated immediately.

First time at the Mission Inn for lunch and it was great.
The service was impeccable an the food was delicious. I love the fact that they have clear tents in the patio which covers you from he cold breeze but still allows you to see the beautiful architecture.

This was the first time I ate out in the courtyard. It was so pretty as the hotel is historic and immaculately kept up and the tables were adequately distanced. The food was great and reasonably priced. I'd definitely go back!

The Mission Inn is a wonderful piece of history and a true delight to enjoy. We had lunch on the patio of the M.I. restaurant, service was top shelve, seating was fine and the overall atmosphere was delightful. My only complaint is that the food was average at best, the chicken was overcooked on both sandwiches that our guests ordered, the serving size of calamari was rather small but cooked well, the french dip sandwiches were once again average at best, the most enjoyable part of the entire meal was the Ceaser salad. I would suggest also increasing the lunch menu, it's extremely limited and as for the quality of the food, if you aren't going to hire a chef don't charge chef prices

My favorite place! The garden-like patio is lovely. Servers are courteous and professional and very accomadating. The food is a little high-priced, but our meals have always been tasty, generous servings, and the whole experience makes it worth it. My daughter and I meet here for lunch often, and the atmosphere makes it a perfect place to visit and "catch up" before we head out to shop together.

The food was amazing and the night was perfect. We will be back!

We had a special birthday brunch with 16 family members. We ranged in age from 90 to 10. The service and ambiance were excellent. I would highly recommend and we’re planning a return visit.

I've been to the Mission Inn restaurant many times but this is the first time I have been disappointed in their food. I ordered the fried chicken this time (I usually have their filet mignon or ribeye which I've always liked) and it was burned and the portion size was not worth the price. Also the burrata appetizer, I wouldn't call it great...I was excited to try it on this occasion because I used to live in Europe and travelled quite a bit to Italy.

I generally think the food is good. Service is always excellent and the ambience is nice.

Reasonable value for the dollar considering the ambiance. Nice selection of menu items. The wait staff was friendly and responsive. Overall, very enjoyable for a relaxed lunch.

Super romantic setting for our 1 year anniversary dinner. We had the Ciopinno and grilled Alaskan salmon. Both were outstanding. The service was great and we felt safely distanced from others the entire time. We highly recommend this place and hope to return soon. Thank you!

If you haven’t been to The Mission Inn you owe it to yourself to visit this historic location. We love visiting here and always have a great meal. The service is excellent. It’s very pretty sitting outside. The menu is filled with great choices. You will be very happy you came here. This time we both had the Chinese Chicken Salad. It’s the best I’ve ever had!!!
