The food was not very good, which is very annoying when paying $19 for chicken and waffles. Spent about $35 per person with no booze. Will not be going back.
Service was very slow and our waiter was less than enthusiastic and not very attentive. I would say the restaurant was moderately busy, but not slammed, and we waited about 45 minutes for our meals. Once it came, the food was good quality and portion sizes were generous. Glad we allowed plenty of time to eat before our Sunday matinee show.
The service was poor. Waiter not engaged. Had to ask for napkin and cutlery after food delivered. Husband's medium rare steak was charred on the outside and cold in the middle. Sent it back. I was asked by 2 staff members if they could take my plate away when I was pretty obviously still eating. Yay for impossible burger and yay for Halal guys for the make-up meal
Great service. We had the cheese curds which were solid. The fried chicken sandwich was small and uneventful. Same with the bloodys - uneventful. A decent restaurant, but way overhyped considering the value.
The place was cute, right downtown, and the food was great, but for brunch I found it a little pricey.
Great place. Service was fantastic, food was great. We had a round of bloodies that we’re awesome.
Great ambiance! Fantastic location. We will be back! ( especially when rooftop opens)
If you get the chance then head upstairs to the bar Common Club? Great atmosphere too!
Great breakfast with friendly staff. Nice to go somewhere where staff cares so much about their customers.
Overpriced and really loud. Took a long time to get our food.
Nice and upbeat atmosphere with awesome service. I ordered the chicken and waffles with a side of fried egg. The gee and waffle was fantastic! The chick had an odd batter and crustiness that wasn't my style, but when I peeled it off and requested some ranch dressing to dip it in, it all went down fine. :-)
Homestead with the colorful hair was very nice and friendly!
Loved the vibe of this place. Disappointed they were out of the first two items I ordered, but enjoyed the monte cristo. Definitely not a diet friendly spot, but a innovative menu that was delish.
Great food in a fun atmosphere
Service was abysmal and food was not worth the money at all. For the same price you could get a delicious brunch + drinks. A side of fruit is $9. The decor is nice, but doesn't fit the price range. We only saw our waiter twice and he was not attentive at all. Tip was automatically included for our party of 6, which was stated nowhere on the menu. If it were up to us, we would not have tipped at all. I decided to ignore the bad reviews I heard from friends and trust the good reviews here on Open Table, and I really regret it! I never write bad reviews, but this was one of the most disappointing restaurants I've been too yet.
Very fun unique restaurant. Very focused on breakfast. Save up your calories there is nothing light on the menu
The Monte Cristo deep dish breakfast item was a bit too cooked around the edges, but it had excellent presentation and the interior was delicious.
The salsa and tortilla chip breakfast item (can't remember the name) was good, but felt a bit over priced and lacked uniqueness.
Staff was excellent, service was great. Pricey, but expected for the area.
Good food, diner style! Coffee not so good, but the waffles were the best my daughter had!
Wonderful place for brunch. The chicken and waffles plate was very good. Fast, friendly service.
Great environment but the food is average at-best and has been going downhill in the last year. Really disappointed with how bland the food was on my visit earlier this week (Jan 5 2018). Hope they can step it up since the location is fantastic and the menu items would be good if they were prepared better. Also the price point is too high for the quality of food they serve. Please work on this, I would love to love Miss Ricky's again!
The food was good; however the service was slow. It took over 20 minutes from arrival to receive our drink orders. Other tables that were seated after us, left before us. We informed them of our reservations with open table and they marked us down that we did not come in. I really wanted to like it to have it as a place to go to again.
This is our go to place for Christmas breakfast. Have been the last four years. Always good food, good service and good price. Thanks for being open on Christmas.
So, this was a breakfast outing.
The English breakfast was pretty standard. The breakfast sandwich had more issues. Eggs were ordered over easy, but somehow, once assembled in the sandwich, became over hard. Potatoes were fried--not my favorite for breakfast.
For the quality, food was expensive. There is a lot of attention to the theme.
I probably will not go again.
It was very cozy brunch outing!
Waiter was EXCEPTIONAL, very friendly, considerate, on top of everything. Food was spot on. Delicious.
Nice ambiance. Food was pretty good but the service was really disorganized and slow. If it was busy a little waiting would be understandable, but there were very few occupied tables and still did a lot of waiting.
Average, the best and or worst thing to be said... Asked for poached eggs and they came in a watery cup, breakfast potatoes that you could get at any massed produced hotel breakfast buffet and a price tag of $50.00 (with tip X 2 persons)?
Excellent all the way around!
My wife and I absolutely loved this place. Chicken and waffles were amazing.
I was excited about visiting with my children based on web site info. Overall disappointed. Slow service even though not packed. Out of Hot cocoa/chocolate milk. Food just OK. Definitely not rushing back
Very accommodating and welcoming place. Casual, fun, funky vibe!
Good menu variety for our group, liked the far room with couch booths
Went for lunch at noon on a Monday. Service was fine. Food wasn't great. Had the veggie burger and fries - the fries were cold/hard and more like shoestring fries/chips/
Excellent breakfast. A busy place with fantastic service!
I really liked their crispy short ribs, chicken and waffles, and fish and chips.
Casual and fun
Great food great service, lovely experience. Elle, our server, was attentive and friendly. Thank you
Bit disappointed. Expected more from a Virgin brand
Great for brunch when in the loop. Seven of us all liked what we ordered! Didn't order a boozy shake so I have to back...just saying...
It was the first time I visited and was pleased. One of my companions had been there many times before and said that everything was good -- he was right! Super fresh salads, creative sandwiches, breakfast all day -- I would go back!
We did not have a good experience at this restaurant. When we checked in (10 minutes early) they told us they were running behind and we would have to wait. I explained that we had theatre tickets with general seating so we could not be too delayed. They miraculously found a table for the 4 of us a few minutes later. The food arrived slowly, after 45 minutes our server told us there was a printer problem in the kitchen. When the food finally came, the appetizers came at the same time as the entrees. The entree salad had no dressing and when we asked for dressing they did not believe the dressing was missing. The breakfast entree portions were small and one dish contained several ingredients that the server left out when asked what it contained. The food was mediocre and over-priced. Would not recommend this restaurant.
Awesome wait staff. A friendly neighborhood place.
