About

Miss Lily’s 7A is open for dinner daily with all day-breakfast, lunch, brunch and late night in the former 7A Cafe space in the East Village. The new 7A outpost of Miss Lily’s embodies the best elements of Miss Lily’s, Melvin’s Juice Box and the Variety Shop, while paying homage to 7A’s storied past. The menu features the Miss Lily’s classics, new dishes that celebrate the former 7A Cafe and the restaurant’s Jamaican roots, as well as a weekend late night menu to cater to the neighborhood’s buzzing nightlife. The bar features a full selection of wine, beer and cocktails, with a focus on Caribbean rum spirits, and a frozen dark & st slushy machine. An outpost of Melvin’s Juice Box anchors the bar at Miss Lily's 7A, serving Melvin’s 100% organic, incredibly tasty, made-to-order juices. Additionally, Miss Lily’s signature sauces and the Kingston kettle-style potato chips in Curry, Jerk, and Jerk BBQ are for sale.

What Insiders Are Saying

The Infatuation
7.5

Miss Lily’s is basically the Jamaican Cracker Barrel, the way they’re expanding. That’s a good thing. We love Cracker Barrel.

Ratings 7.0-7.5:These are your neighborhood standbys - the places that you’ll happily hit for some pasta or a quick salad, but not a restaurant you are bringing your parents or (god forbid) a date to. The true embodiment of good but not great.

Food is awesome but the wait for food? One hour and a half. Ordered pancakes with potatoes and a roti jerk chicken. People seated AFTER we came in and ordered the same dish and ate and left before we did. Had to ask for everything to be wrapped up because I had to be somewhere after. Unfortunately will not be going back. Not worth the wait.

Host service was friendly , as same as waitress. I believe the corn is the best I have ever tried, EVER. the chicken and pork where awesome. When ordering more, because it was a all-you-can eat, they where a bit slow, but the food fixed the waiting. Will definitely go back for more of that Amazing Corn!!

The server, Sy, was great, and if not for him I would’ve rated the service lower. Food is so-so. For non-West Indians it’s probably considered “authentic”, however I found it rather bland, hit or miss type of food. The ackee hummus appetiser was great. I mean, really great! The ackee and salt fish main was not so great. Not sure how you mess up a national dish...it was flavourless and yet some strange after taste followed. I couldn’t finish it. Music is a tad loud at times, however it didn’t prevent my party of three from holding conversations. I’d definately go back as the menu offered other dishes I’d try, and I enjoyed the overall ambience.

Went for brunch, my friend loved her fish sandwich and the huevos went over well. The sausage side was a bit overdone. The callalloo omelette was literally the worst eggs I've ever eaten in my life but I blame myself for the order.

Love coming here! The first time I came I was torn between ordering the Jerk Ramen and the Oxtail Stew.

First visit I ordered the Jerk Ramen and it was really tasty! The music was loud but fun, and I was dancing in my seat the whole time. It was such a great atmosphere that I took more friends with me for a second visit. This time I ordered the Oxtail Stew since I chose something else the first visit. Best choice...ever! It was flavorful, just enough spices, and wasn't stingy on the amount of oxtail!

My group loved the food and atmosphere as much as I did and already want to go back on their own time.

I loved this place but the dish I ordered was very disappointing. I love jerk chicken and expected them to do it well. It tasted like the “liquid smoke” that’s added to food to give it a smoky flavor. Overpowering. Not good at all. But In general, everyone seemed to be enjoying their meal. Great servers and fun atmosphere!

I think I just found one of my new favorite spots in NYC! This was our first time here celebrating our Anniversary. Glad we decided on Lily’s which was a perfect choice after seeing a Broadway Play! Food, Service, Music, Drinks, Decor all superb!

I will DEFINITELY be returning!

Thank you again,

It was just ok. I bought the hype about "award-winning" jerk chicken and was quite disappointed. It was definitely not among the best jerk chicken in the world; it was pretty blah. Atmosphere is lovely, servers are beautiful and the vibe is funky (in a good way), though.

Service was slower than the other location. Luckily, it was a group of us who kept each other entertained to ignore the slow service. On a positive note, our drinks never sent empty during brunch for the 1hour unlimited rum punch.

Met up with some girlfriend's for Sunday brunch & had a blast - food & service was great! The portion's were a good size & the pre-fixe brunch drinks were delicious. I really like the down-to-earth vibe & that the staff wasn't hovering over your or trying to get you to leave super quick. I definitely recommend this place. Only suggestion would be to add a little more light in the bathrooms because I couldn't see very well. Other than that we had a lovely time :D

This was my first time at this Miss Lily's I've been to the soho location before, and both times were so much fun. It's loud inside, the waitresses are always super fun, and it's great for a birthday because they come out with sparklers and play rihanna. The food is really well seasoned and very filling. Would definitely recommend again

Miss Lilys, both 7A and the Houston Street locations are far more than just eateries, they are experiences.

Everyone needs a place to escape and Miss Lilys manages with it's intense party vibe, its Jamaican Heritage married with a strong NYC feel that incorporates modern and global influences into its amazing food, its warm and astonishingly gorgeous staff that makes you feel like you've gone somewhere beyond a vacation. It's like walking into an alternate dimension in which the soundtrack is everything from Gregory Isaacs to Supercat, there is always a great juice bar, and there is always drum-can chicken. Super moist delicious Jerk Chicken. I always wish it had even MORE heat, but then again, I'm also mildly stupid.

Miss Lily's makes rice and peas so ethereal, you'd order a side order for dessert the way people do with Joel Robuchon mashed potatoes. The Oxtails are a huge favorite of mine, and if you're going to do their Jerk? Do the PORK!!! Oh my GOD! It's as unctuous and succulent as Osso Bucco.

It's imperative to remember that Miss Lily's...is a New York restaurant, and they've managed to impart that deeply into this incredibly Private Beach Party. It manages to be intimate and raucous. It's my favorite place on Earth. Thank you Miss Lily's for always taking us somewhere special.
