Great customer service and good food. Love the atmosphere
Great space and good food with very pleasant staff.
I’m never disappointed. I would love to see more brunch items added to the menu but still, never disappointed.
The appetizers and drinks were very good. My husband and I both ordered rib eye steaks and they were not good. They were tough and his was cooked more than medium. Also, he had to send his coffee back because it was cold. We have always enjoyed this restaurant in the past and were disappointed this time.
I met a colleague for a business lunch and enjoyed this restaurant immensely. I love the relaxed feel of this place – like a comfortable dining room in a friends home. I definitely would return to try more dishes. Service was well-timed and friendly, wines were affordable.
Came for lunch with friends. We stayed for a long time after we ate with no problems. The food was very good. Gave it four stars because I wads sorry that I did not order my lamb rare. Medium rare turned out to be cooked more than I wanted. This is a common problem with lamb. But unlike beef, lamb is very forgiving. It still tasted good. Key lime pie was tart which is as it should be. For me, this has become a go-to place for lunch.
I have been to Mrs. K's for special occasions several times over a 20-year period. The food is consistently good (especially the mussels, lamb chops, and salmon). The selection of wines is excellent. The dessert menu is a little limited and the flourless chocolate cake I had was hard (perhaps was frozen and not defrosted?). The hostess and waitress were very friendly, though the hostess wore sneakers which made the restaurant feel more casual. Plus they have now introduced some sandwich entrees on the menu, which attracts more casual diners (some guests were wearing jeans). My one big complaint is that the décor/setting has grown shabby over the years. We were seated in the front room, and it really needs some sprucing up! We'll probably return again in the future, but think twice when it's a special occasion and we want something more formal.
Took my husband for his birthday. We went early, so it was quiet and the fireplace was going which only added to the atmosphere. The waiter was great and so was the food!
This is a great place for brunch. The buffet was superb. Everything we had was very flavorful. As always quality service and a great atmosphere.
I'm not sure what time this place opens, but for my 12 pm reservation they had already run out of the soup of the day and did not have any more waffles. What kind of brunch doesn't offer waffles, or pancakes or french toast? How did the soup of the day run out so quickly?
The server rushed everything and got two of our orders incorrect.
The food was mediocre - I cannot believe this place has so much hype surrounding it. Maybe it is better for Sunday brunch or dinner during the week. Doesn't matter to me because I'll never go back.
Downstairs at Mrs. K's is always great.
Happy hour discounts, small plates, specialty drinks, friendly staff.
Live music from time to time.
An excellent place to go.
Our waitress Brianna was very helpful and patient with us. The food was divine. O me of our favorite restaurants.
Enjoyed my meal there. Good food!
Absolutely delish with amazing service!! Can’t wait to go back!!
This is the second time that we have take our grandson ,who is at the U of Maryland , for Sunday brunch. He loves the great selection of seafood. We also really enjoy your restaurant. Your waitstaff is very efficient and obliging. We shall be back!
Kathy, the manager, was wonderful and our server, Brianna, was absolutely delightful, attentive, professional, personable and knowledgeable. I boldly ordered the "perfect pork chop." I was pleasantly surprised to actually receive one of the best pork chops I've had the pleasure of enjoying. Mrs. K's will always be one of my main "go-to's!"
Nice birthday date, good food, nice atmosphere and lovely waitress who provided excellent service.
My Mom missed the costumes and the sorbet from days long gone, but we both enjoyed the food and ambiance including the fireplace.
Nice place - dining downstairs would have been nicer.
Lunch beet salad had very few beets
Burger was averageA
RESTAURANT WAS ALMOST EMPTY WHEN WE ARRIVED AT 5:30 YET SERVICE WAS AWFUL. DRINKS TOOK FOREVER, SALAD WAS FORGOTTEN, BREAD HAD TO BE ASKED FOR, VERY SLOPPY SERVICE FOR MRS. K'S. WE WERE THERE ALMOST THREE HOURS WITH ALL THE SERVER'S MEMORY LAPSES.
We arrived a little late for our reservation, but the staff was very friendly and accommodating even though it was close to when the restaurant closes (we are so sorry, but thanks for serving us anyway!). Our server was very helpful with recommendations, and the wine and food were both exactly what we were looking for as we did a belated Valentine’s Day dinner. The filet mignon was cooked perfectly, and the red wine reduction that came with it was fantastic. The pork chop was also fantastic, and the brussels sprouts that came with it were delicious. Thanks for a great experience!
The mimosas were ok their choice of champagne is brut. The crabs legs where amazing hot and fresh.the price was pretty reasonable.
My wife and I took a foreign visitor to Mrs. K's for Sunday brunch. There were many items on the buffet; however, most were overcooked or dry. For example, the oysters were so dried out that they were essentially membranes instead of being plump. The ribs were similarly very dry. I was sorry that we had taken our visitor there.
It was a family dinner for my belated birthday celebration. We had a very pleasant experience, especially exploring different parts of the house and their antique glass collection. I haven’t been to this restaurant for at least 15 years. It’s great to find out that they have gotten better. The food was quite good, and the service was fitting for this type of restaurant and price point. The highlight of the meal was the lamb chop and ribeye steak. They were good quality meat, tasty and cooked to our liking. The reason I did not give it 5 stars is due to the mediocre quality of the ahi tuna appetizer, crab cake and the dessert. They weren’t bad but we expected better.
Food was average for the price. Better value elsewhere. R&b music wasn’t Romantic and didn’t fit the ambiance. Good service and great physical spot.
Service was excellent and very efficient. Food presentation was very nice. Waiters were very efficient and pleasant. Manager was curt and unfriendly at every step I took. Bathroom was clean but commode was needing replacement seat desperately. Overall dining was very nice.
Creative and delicious fine dining. The menu is just a little small, but they do what they do very well. Excellent service. Unique and tasteful ambience.
Excellent overall and the food was delicious
Crab soup, duck breast, crab cakes and chocolate flourless cake were all excellent. Bread pudding was okay but nothing special. Ambiance was quiet, intimate and romantic. We were in a small dining room. There are other larger rooms that might have a different feeling. The service was attentive without being intrusive- excellent. Expensive especially if you have multiple alcoholic drinks.
As a first timer I was impressed! Went on Valentine’s Day and loved how the whole place is set up. Food was excellent and service was superb! Will be going back and recommending them to friends and family!
Pricey but worth it!! I found out about this restaurant because I had been there twice before for a Christmas lunch and a baby shower lunch my job had for me.
I took my wife here for Valentines Day. We both really enjoyed the restaurant. The building was beautifully decorated to create a romantic atmosphere. Our waiter was attentive and friendly. My wife and I also really like the sea food dishes we ordered.
Getting seated took longer than it should have because the hostess was bussing and setting tables. The crab sandwich was dry, not tasty, and the crab patty was tiny—but at least it was expensive at $23 for a lunchtime sandwich! The tomato soup was tasty but served as a tiny portion in a bowl with a huge rim to make you think you were getting more than you were. We were disappointed with this restaurant, which seems to have gone downhill in the last 10 years.
Had lunch there yesterday. I had the special which was trout served with whipped potatoes and green beans, friend had the salmon with a vegetable medley. The food was very good, very enjoyable. Loved the sauce on the trout. What was really top notch was the service, thank you Matt! He was attentive but let us chat without interruption as long as we wanted. He had that great balance of being there when we needed him but not intrusive. All in all a lovely afternoon, Mrs. K's never disappoints.
We went here to celebrate my husband's birthday and he really enjoyed brunch.
Love the food and service. Courteous and polite. Great spot
We have been going to Mrs. K’s for over twenty years and still love it
All employees were extremely helpful, cheerful, and courteous. This was my first experience at Mrs. K's Tollhouse. I took my sisters there for dinner on a Saturday night everything was nice, and I would definitely recommend it to my friends, and I shall be back there very soon. Thanks again!
Great food and atmosphere. Will recommend to friends.
Would have never known it was there until someone told me that they like it there..
