As always, brunch buffet was yummy!
I haven't been to Mr's K's for many years. We were not disappointed.
Just as good as I remember.Service wasn't great.Food was very good.
Have dined here many times over the last 50 years. Always a pleasure
It was my birthday
Poor food quality; hot interior, limited desserts...very expensive for the quality and experience
Never disappointed. Great customer service by host and server Fitri.
This was an awesome place to eat. You should dine in the garden area.
Patio is a beautiful place to spend a summer evening. Looking forward to coming back and enjoying the wine cellar indoors during the winter. A great spot for a celebration or special ocassion.
Service was slow especially for the few people in our section. Food and coffee not served at my preferred temperature (i.e. not hot enough).
Very very noisy, hard to hear gyuests
Great Place, beautiful grounds, amazing wait Staff and most of all family friends to kids under 5 :)
Great food and atmosphere.
The place is gorgeous of course. The food, not at all. I knew it was not going to be good by the way my crab Chesapeake looked. My fault because my sister had just visited the weekend before and said the food was not good. I should have listened. Sorry I couldn't give you a better rating, I wanted to but it was awful. I won't be coming back, but will continue driving by and only remarking, "my what a pretty place " maybe a new chef and upgrading the menu.
Pretty place and staff was not unkind...but to be honest we were pretty much ignored for much of night. Considering the price we expected bread with the meal but never got it even after we asked (curiously the table near us received bread prior to meal and without asking). Food was tasty...but not enough to justify price. Service was pleasant but sporadic at best and clearly not well coordinated between different servers. Perhaps just an off night...but I cannot honestly report that my wife and I were impressed.
Beautiful garden! Excellent service!
It was fun. We celebrated a Birthday. Great setting for multiple generations.
A bit pricey, but a lovely place to lunch. We always order the crabcakes, and the watermelon gazpacho was excellent.
I had out of town guests on a Wednesday evening who stayed nearby, so decided to take them to Mrs. K's. They thoroughly appreciated the excellent food and beautiful ambience--we had a view of the garden as the sun set. We enjoyed our pot sticker appetizers and hot rolls, followed by delicious mushroom risotto, lamb chops, and salmon, respectively. Everyone said their dishes were delicious repeatedly and conveyed our complements to the chef. Service was excellent--checking back in from time to time, and offering flexibility as to sides with the lamb chops. I'll think of returning more often as we could catch up after 20 years with no competing background noise--a rare find--and simultaneously enjoy our dishes. I understood that downstairs room was packed due to the happy hour discounted offerings--will try that enticing opportunity on another Wednesday!
Sunday brunch was fantastic. We are new to the area and we’re looking for a good brunch place and boy is this it. Can’t wait to try their happy hour and dinner!
I hadn’t been to Mrs K since I was a little girl, but my 80 year old Mother suggested it the choices were plentiful, the drink was not skimpy & the hot rolls were a definite throwback!
Andrew was a friendly & knowledgeable server & he went well beyond to help my Mom up & down the stairs.
I’ve already recommended Mrs K’s to my friends & am looking forward to dining in the garden next time.
One note: I heard MANY people ask about the gorgeous hibiscus. Neither the host or hostess knew what kind of flowers they were.
The food was very good. The ambience was unique in the stone wine cellar. It was our 48th wedding anniversary and we asked for a quiet area. We were seated in the area all by her self and it would’ve been perfect except that the intercom music was very loud. We asked them to turn the music down and they did for about five minutes and then they cranked it back up again. It really was quite intrusive and unpleasant. Our server was completely outstanding in every way. Damon - I believe was his name. It was most accommodating even to the point of going outside with us to take a picture in front of the Mrs. K sign they comped us a dessert but unfortunately there was egg shell in it
So Glad to find a brunch that had everything I've been looking for. The waffles was delicious and the shrimp and crab leg was excellent. We'll definitely be back again!
Best Sunday brunch anywhere and a historical legacy. And I could not imagine the neighborhood without this place.
This continues to be a favorite place to celebrate special occasions. My most recent visit on September 1 was to celebrate my dad's 85th birthday. We invited a friend that had never visited. She loved it. Some day I have to try dinner. Until then, I gladly give the a 5 star rating for food and ambiance.
So relaxing and satisfying. My daughter and friends loved the scenery. I love it also. Felt like we were away from home. Real nice and dedicated staff.
This was my first experience there, and it was a good one. Really enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. Will definitely be back!!!
I love this place! Such a great setting -- whether you are inside or out. The evening I was there, though, the staff was super slow. Everything took sooo long -- to take our drinks order, to deliver the drinks, to come back for a food order, and then to deliver the food. I kept thinking that they'll do a good job on the next task, since they know they did badly on the last thing. But, then we had to wait to find the waiter to get the bill and then to bring the check. I'll go back, I'm sure, but waitstaff needs to up their game!
It was my first time there and it was great. The food the service and they even had a beautiful view to take pictures.
Food was good. Air conditioner not working.
The food was horrible. The restaurant was hot; the air conditioner did not work very well.
I love Mrs.. K Troll brunch it is the best brunch spot in the Silver Spring area. This past weekend the weather was extremely hot outside as well inside of the restaurant which made my experience little uncomfortable. But our waiter Ty was great he kept us hydrated with plenty of ice water and his service was awesome. I will definitely come again and refer friends and family.
Crispy Half Chicken was cooked to perfection. Unexpectedly got the bread pudding for free because it was my birthday. Customer service was superb! Highly recommend!
our family has come to Mrs Ks often over the years but NEVER experienced such service as we did for a birthday celebration. Extremely disappointing and embarrasing for birthday guest.
with plenty of beautiful garden view rooms, we were given a table in the back of the basement.
we had to go ask for a waiter to come serve us, since we had been forgotten.
the green salad was overwhelmed by the dressing.
again, it took forever to finally get our bill and get out of there.
very poor experience, will never go back.
Charming and quaint awaits you as you enter Mrs. K's restaurant and bar. The cellar steps are not easy to maneuver, but the side back door might be your ticket inside. . Staff was beyond gracious and helpful at every turn. Enjoyed the Maryland crab dip as it might be the tastiest ever. Fish tacos on Tacos Tuesday didn't disappoint either of the 3 guests who tried it that night. Happy Hour and quiet ambience lead me to believe I will return.
Such a beautiful and spacious restaurant, yet we were seated in the cellar with lots of other people! Not what I was hoping for since my guests had never been before. I wanted to impress them! Also, the service was SO slow! Geepers!
Good food, great service, and lovely atmosphere. The crispy chicken was good and my dining partner's seafood pasta was excellent. The restaurant was only half full so the service was quick and efficient. We sat at a small table in front of a picture window overlooking a beautiful large garden. (Note to Management: Clean the windows!)
First time visiting MRS K yesterday and it was a great experience overall. The bread pudding is to die for. Brunch is buffet style and the lines were moving swiftly, everyone was pleasant. I will definitely be coming back.
My sister and I enjoyed our meal and surroundings immensely.
So much so that we purchased a gift certificate for our Aunt. We were in town to celebrate her 80th birthday. In her thank you note she said she loved it at your restaurant. She is a certified Master Gardener and just loves your gardens as well.
Thanks so much for making our stay even more enjoyable.
