Mexican Italian fusion. great pasta and steak. good service
We went for brunch and had the quinoa with poached eggs. It came with a smoky remoulade, and the salmon frittata with goat cheese and fresh herbs. Delicious. The place was quiet with several open tables, since we arrived around noon and the early brunchers were gone.
Consistently fantastic food with great service!!
Miranda offers some terrific dishes and some excellent wines, served with attentive care by
a kindly staff in pleasurable surroundings. Try the homemade foccacia when the breads are offered. The skirt steak and pork tenderloin are tender and flavorful, and the gnocchi the best
I've had: favorites I'll cite among other tempting choices. Don't leave without succumbing to
the pannecotta or the three milk cake, two desserts my wife and I never tire of. This place is perfect for a romantic dinner, located on a pretty corner, and with quiet sound levels. Everyone working there strives to please. Brunch is another compelling reason to visit Miranda. Recommend this place highly--we've been regulars for some years.
Love this place so much. Food is always great and the service is even better!
Went here on a friend's recommendation. What a lovely experience. There's a gabillion places to eat in Williamsburgh now, and this one stands out. Hip, but not toooo hipster (you can take your pals here, but you can take your parents too), and casual while still maintaining the air of eating at a good restaurant. Service was always gracious and with a smile from the host to the waitress to the busboy. You always felt welcome and well taken care of.
It was pork tenderloin for me and branzino for the wife, and we both really loved our dishes. On many occasions I find pork to be rather bland and not prepared all that well, but this was delicious. If I had had the branzino for myself, I may have still been a little hungry afterwards as I feel that I would've needed more food on my plate, but for my wife it was just perfect.
Both of our desserts, panna cotta and some sort of fruit concoction, were uber-fresh and definitely "foodie" quality.
Some places in Williamsburgh are a little too crowded and a little too loud, or the food is an afterthought. Miranda's definitely has a hipster yet elegant vibe, and is a little quieter and more laid back than many places in the neighborhood. And the food is great - they obviously take great care and pride in it. We went on a Saturday night at 8 pm and had a wonderful, relaxed meal ... and then went out to a place that was loud and crowded for a nightcap!
We will be back!
Normaly i'm not one for loud environments, but there was a surprise birthday dinner happening right behind us. Despite that ( which really was not that noisy), the ambience was very comforting, with nice Spanish and Italian music playing in the background. The service was very good, with the husband of the married couple that own the place attending the the dinning room like hawk. The wife, which happens to be a internationally trained chef, is in the kitchen performing culinary perfection. Anything ordered is going to have you fighting the urge to like the plate. And, you must try their house made sodas, which are more like refreshing spritzers. All in all, its a must try, perfect for any occasion or just for a nice date night with the wife or girlfriend. Don't hesitate, make a reservation now!!!!!!
Garlic bread was to die for. My husband and I enjoyed the mussels basted in a tomato basil sauce. We plan to go back.
Mauricio and Sasha have never disappointed me -- my family and I have been frequent visitors for years now, and I continue to urge anyone who likes excellent quality food with friendly, efficient, caring service, in a warm and comfortable atmosphere to try Miranda.
Great service! Wonderful food. Loved the owners. They made us feel like family. Enjoyed a delicious brunch and we will be back for dinner soon.
First time in that place It was amazing the food the cocktails and wine superb
The service was excellent very attentive
I recommend to try the linguine de Mari
The churasco and the branzino
Looking for a place near Brooklyn Bowl and found Miranda's. How lucky...it was fantastic. All four of us loved everything...appetizers, dinners, desserts, ambiance. Service very unobtrusive and wait staff well versed in everything on menu. Can't wait to go back!
Been coming here for years, and the food is always outstanding, and service friendly and attentive. Miranda is a neighbourhood gem.
Once again Miranda does not disappoint. The food ,service, and ambiance were perfect. Highly recommended.
The restaurant is cute but found the service to be hap hazard. Our waitress was probably new but still, she had difficulty communicating as well as didn't know to take drink order then food order, nor to give specials. The food was pricey for what it was. I felt all dishes should have been priced about $5 less for the portion size and quality. Saying that the food was delicious just not that delicious. Certainly not exceptional.
For some reason they cook chewy stuff. Octopus was mega chewy and so was the steak. The soup was nice. Apparently, I was no the only person not liking it as the place was empty on Thursday night. Despite there were only two tables, everything took forever. There are many restaurants in this area, this won't survive.
Seven of us went for Sunday brunch to celebrate our friends birthday. They had our table ready and set when we got there. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The food was amazing! Probably one of the best brunches I've had! The drinks were great (not included with food) as well as the dessert. The overall ambiance was very friendly, cozy, cute, and welcoming. We didn't feel rushed after we ate. Looking forward to going back for dinner.
They need more vegetarian options on the menu, though.
Absolute best restaurant in NYC! We love you Miranda's!
Good food, service fine I would return to try different dishes.
Came here for my boyfriends 30th birthday. Monday night, pretty quite, but seems like it would be a fairly quite place any night of the week. Nice atmosphere, romantic, great for a date. Service was some of the best I've had in NYC. The servers were beyond friendly, very genuine, attentive but not overly so. Even though the place was pretty empty by the time we got there (8:30pm on a very cold monday night), they spaced out our dishes perfectly allowing us to enjoy the place and take our time. They let us sit there after our meal to finish our wine for a good half an hour without any problem or making us feel rushed.
I had the seafood risotto which was fantastic. It was incredibly hot, seafood was so fresh and PERFECTLY cooked. The shrimp was some of the best hot shrimp i've had. My boyfriend at the noqui which was tasty but not nearly as special as the risotto. Maybe it is a particular style of noqui, but it just seemed a little too soft/mushy for what i'm used to. The dish was also not as hot as the risotto. Still very tasty, interesting and well seasoned. We also started with the arancini which was pretty small but a nice appetizer.
Wine. We had a lovely bottle of red (a Jumilla from Spain) but I was a little surprised and disappointed that there weren't many options on the cheaper side for reds. The only reason I'm mentioning this is because there was a significant difference in price between the white and red options. There were several white options in the $30-$40 range, but all of the reds were over $47, and most of them much higher. Not a huge deal, it just seemed a little odd.
I highly recommend this place!
I have been to Miranda's many times and it is a lovely restaurant. The food is consistent and service excellent. Our server, Valentino, always great!
My suggestion is that they change the menu because it has been the same for a long time.
It would be great to have more variety and have the chef, who is very talented, broaden her items or change with the seasons. Would love her to prepare something different to experience. Thank you
It's a tiny place with good services and great food. The food took a while and most of the dishes were great; the crab cakes were black color, didn't look appetizing but it tasted okay. I loved how the quinoa was prepared...delicious. Food was prepared fresh and matched the price, it's a good place for a special occasion to splurge and not a every day dinner place. The bill came out over $50 per head with just an appetizer & main course.
My husband and I enjoyed Miranda's food and ambiance. Our server made sure we were well taken care of, as did co-owner, Mauricio. Everything was delicious and we plan to return again!
We love Miranda. The staff is so incredibly friendly and attentive, and the food is complex and tasty.
We were seated in a lovely little alcove. The food was very good and the service was excellent. Everyone was very sweet and helpful.
The Lunch menu is perfect. The food is good. Good restaurants for locals.
The only place that can make quinoa taste great! Breakfasts are wonderful too!!
Miranda is a very cute, sweet & romantic place with fantastic service & great healthy food. We really enjoy our experiences there. It's also quiet place with nice background music (certainly no noisy crowds here) where you truly enjoy soft conversation with your partner.
We enjoyed the charming, romantic, and unassuming atmosphere. The menu of Spanish and Italian food delivered healthy, delicious choices. Best of all, the service was excellent - warm and responsive.
Very good. Have eaten here many times and this was one of the best and the rioja was good too.
This lovely restaurant is on a quiet corner in a tree-lined street in North Williamsburg. A discerning menu and seasoned staff deliver delicious food prepared with seasonal ingredients and options for different tastes. The parppadelle pasta with ragu of mole-braised leg of lamb was outstanding.
We were a party of 5 for dinner and each of the guest had different dishes. EACH was outstanding, tasty, creative with high-quality ingredients, e.g. home-made pasta! Its a fusion of Italian and Latin American flavors. My only regret... I should have started with eating each dessert on the menu!! The service is so friendly, attentive and personal. I was there several time with other people and the dinner was consistently superb.
This was my second time going back in a year. The first time was a lot better in food. The menu has not changes much. I would say they have good food but not spectacular.
We enjoyed our food. The portions are perfect and it is a calm environment.
I went here with 3 friends for dinner and we loved our food. I think the winner was the medialuna pasta- so good! And the service was excellent.
Miranda never disappoints, worth the drive from Westchester
The menu is very interesting. We had the Mussels as first course. I had a pasta dish while my partner had fish.
Everything including desserts were excellent . Nice wine list too. Total bill for a truly lovely experience was fair
at $133 (including bottle of wine).
One small negative was that on a Saturday night and full restaurant, it was noisy. Of course, on a Saturday night in May, all
of Williamsburg is noisy :)
We were a party of 4, and we truly enjoyed all the dishes.
The mixed drinks were tasty and the service was excellent. I don't have one complaint. It was a lovely afternoon.
This is our second visit to Miranda's and we will definitely be returning . The food never disappoints, the service is excellent, the staff is warm and friendly and it is everything a good restaurant should be without being pretentious. Definitely a jewel in Williamsburg!
