I just wish this place was better. We try every so often to love this spot but it's just tough.
Everything is just mediocre.
Great place , great ambiance. Would go back soon
Many trips to 3 Village Inn-la Mirabelle over the years. Got engaged 14 years ago at original location in St. James. My meal was just ok although my wife loved hers. A tad expensive for "ok". The waitress was ok and tried but was very busy.
We had the misfortune of having the table next to us occupied by a gentleman who thought you have to yell when you converse making it virtually impossible for me to talk to my wife. If we hadn't been "celebrating" our anniversary we would have left. I miss the old La Mirabelle.
Have been going to Mirabelle for several years now. We even had our daughter's wedding at the Three Village Inn in 2018. Food and service is always good. I do wish they had a larger menu selection. The duck is the outstanding signature dish. It is wonderful.
Pre-show for Jazz Loft; Tyler was good but the kitchen was a little slow and we wound up late to our concert. Didn’t miss any music, but not able to seat at tables. Crab cake, swordfish and tiramisu were delicious
The service starts everything out right, and the food is always great. We had the best oysters that we have ever had during this meal. The Lessing’s restaurants and catering always delivers a professional experience from beginning to end. We might have to travel to Stoney Brook again soon for another great dining experience. The French restaurant is amazing as well.
The food was delicious and our waiter Peyton was very friendly and professional.
Have gone there several times in the past year and service and food is good. Last nigh although the place was incredibly busy the staff took care of business and the food was superb. So even thoguh the staff had to contend with a lot of tables and people at the bar they performed incredibly.
Food was very good. Soup and salad were outstanding! Service was fabulous! Our waiter Peyton was friendly, informative, found me the perfect wine and made the evening just wonderful. Another lovely evening at a Lessing's restaurant.
Thanksgiving dinner was a success thanks to Mirabelle! Everything was delicious (especially the stuffing!!!)
The bufett style environment and service were just adequate
Thanksgiving was fabulous. So much good food
Celebrated Thanksgiving Dinner with my family. The restaurant was perfect for the occasion. Staff and the food were excellent. It was a buffet style dinner, but worked out very well. Enjoyed the atmosphere. Only negative was the seating arrangement was a little tight. Tables were close together.
Wonderful Thanksgiving meal.
My wife and I sat at the bar and thoroughly enjoyed our evening. The first old fashioned was a bit sticky due to the maple syrup. She used her bare hands to scoop out the ice cubes which wasn’t cool. The bar person quickly made a replacement drink which was good. Appetizer fries were good and so was the soup. The Buddha bowl lacked a bit of zest and the cold sweet potato and uncooked noodles didn’t help either. Good conversations with other patrons. Overall a good experience!!
Lovely evening for 2 with dinner in the JRS room at Mirabelle followed by music at the Jazz Loft. Nice Napa CAB with chèvre salad and burger; fish and chips for my wife. Our waitress, Kate, was exceptional and engaging
The food, service, and bartender were outstanding. The salmon was delicious and so was the caulifower soup.
Poor service. Food average at best
Always a really great experience!
Food was pretty good, but after being seated, it took half an hour to see our waiter and another half hour for our first course and drinks to arrive
We had to leave as the odor of the place was horrible. They need a deep cleaning of their rugs and they should keep pet odors down to a minimum as its a restaurant
We went during Restaurant week because their menu had more choices than a lot of other restaurants. The place is charming, the people are so nice and guests were spaced apart perfectly. The food was absolutely amazing with just one complaint. I ordered the Foie Gras on Crostini for an app and it came with point toasts that weren't toasted enough so I didn't get the texture of the creamy vs crunchy. The entree's were delish ! Don't get me started on the desserts.....yum yum !! Would definite return even when it's not restaurant week !
Fireplace not working. Ambience was mediocre. Temperature was cool. Food and service good but we had to ask for water. In a restaurant of this caliber wine selection at low end (Malbec) should have been better . Not up to par. Was happy to participate in restaurant week. Good food but needs work on decor . Lighting very bright. Enjoyed the special menu, but does need to improve on other aspects. Dining isn’t just about the food.
Restaurant week prior to Jazz Loft; fireplace seating, delicious meal
Made the mistake of coming here during restaurant week. Maybe we should have told them in advance that we were not going to order from the restaurant week menu, because we were certainly treated differently becuase it was restaurant week. They tried sticking us at a horrible table for 2 in the tavern. Not realizing that the there was a separate dining room, we settled for a better table in the tavern, but were still surrounded by people at the bar waiting to attend a wedding. In Manhattan, the restaurants understand that restaurant week is an opportunity, since some of the customers will try the restaurant and return to pay full price. Instead, they lost two full-paying customers. Of course, this is not a Manhattan restaurant, only a poor Manhattan wannabe.
A celebration of my mother-in-laws birthday and luckily during restaurant week. The soup was delicious and the Salmon superb. A little loud and crowded, but with excellent service soon forgotten. The food was delicious and unique.
Mirabelle is a very good restaurant with really good food on the menu. We took the Prix Fixe offer and were very satisfied. The place is recommendable and we will go there again!
A very special and unique restaurant with a price fixed menu. The lamb stew was delicious and unique. The Oktoberfest Munich beer unusual, excellent service, but a bit too loud for a quiet Sunday evening. One of our favorite French/Alsatian/Continental cuisine's. In the summer, spring and fall, outdoor dining on a beautiful day is wonderful.
Delightful to see The Tavern was updated and painted. But, my food was cold and under cooked. Waiter never checked back to ensure that my meal was okay. It was the Flammkuchen , so I ate it anyway. Also, ordered El Captain cocktail. Wasn’t right, not crisp and refreshing as the usual I receive here. The bartender tried to fix it by adding more tequila, I believe it was the grapefruit that was not fresh. Bartender also did not check back with me. Very disappointing meal. I love the Tavern and have been a patron for years. I’m sorry to write this post, but I feel if they servers who were both nice, would have checked back, I would have had these issues corrected!
Lunch was delicious. Decent menu selection and nice size portions.
Great dinner. The only issue was that we had to wait a while for our table even though we had a reservation. There was a wedding and they were a bit overwhelmed.
Would have been better if waiters had been more efficient, even on a slow night.
Their fall menu is amazing! Great cocktail choices, and our appetizers and dinners were delicious. Our server Tyler was very friendly and attentive and did a great job suggesting the perfect wine for our meal.
Good meal here again. Skirt steak special was delicious and so were the chic pea fries. The desserts were just ok…nothing special. Our server was super nice!
The staff at Mirabelle, and the Three Village Inn, was friendly, attentive and very welcoming.
We had a great evening.
The food was very good, but the service was slow especially towards the end.
We go here often. I was afraid that they might have same issues as many other restaurants I’ve been to recently ,namely poor service. Fear not We had excellent service by our waitress. Wonderful young lady! Food we great, as we have come to expect here . Good burger, Ruben and fish dishes were enjoyed Desserts were terrific too. Thank you Mirabelle staff and chef . We had a happy evening
Always a pleasure to dine here.
The food was very good. The restaurant was short of staff.
