The food was over 1.5hr late. The music was great, but the setting was a little awkward by the transition of the set.

The food was really good, but we waited more than 1:30 hours for them to bring us our food. Something happened that night because all the tables were in a similar situation and the people were complaining. It's good, but very pricey for the kind of service in my opinion.

We were so excited to go, at the recommendation of a friend but the experience really fell flat. Seems they were having a VERY off Service night. We had to ask for water, ask to order, ask for our entrees to be fired (after waiting for 40 min). But thankfully the music was good and kept us entertained. For having marked on the reservation that this was a birthday dinner for my husband, I was also disappointed that they made no mention or acknowledgement of that. Sorry Mintons, you didn’t win us over.

Re-opening Minton’s Playhouse has to get an email listing of former patrons who loved as myself the original menu. It has to be advertised on Facebook, Twittet, etc to establish the crowd again or it’ll go back to Juke Joints & Speakeasy places!

We were on our honeymoon in New York and wanted to have the jazz experience. Minton’s was perfect, the music was really good. The food was amazing and the service we received couldn’t have been any better. Some people might think the food is pricey but it is certainly worth it.

Great service. Great atmosphere. The food was good. I enjoyed the lobster ravioli and the really cool uniforms. The music was awesome. My server was from Betony and was really attentive and sincere. The kitchen had a few kinks to work out, but it's still a new team working together. I will be back.

Friday night Latin Jazz in a comfortable jazzy setting with good food. Suggest music charge be added separate from food. Should music be taxed and tipped?

Took my Dad for a belated Father's Day brunch as he is a big jazz enthusiast and knows all about the history of Mintons. The food was amazing and we all shared a selection of different dishes, we ordered way too much food but it was worth it! Good value too as there was no cover charge for the live music. Great venue, highly recommended!

We visited Minton's on a trip to New York from Australia. The venue is an icon of the Harlem jazz scene and we were most interested in the music. In summary, we found the food and service to be exemplary. The ambience was good but a few diners just didn't get that it's rude to crank up the volume of their conversations when the music started. The jazz on the particular night we attended leant towards fusion too much for my liking, but that's a personal thing.
Highly recommended.

The food was extremely salty. The salt had salt on it. The butter had salt on it. Every item ordered was loaded with salt. I realize that Soul Food is cooked with its fair amount of salt, however, the amount of salt added to the already cooked food, was unbelievable. My ankles were swollen by the end of the meal. The steak was over-cooked. They ran out of fish, (during brunch...?). Unfortunately, I will not return to Minton's, as I already have high blood pressure and with the amount of salt in Minton's food, I'd be begging for a stroke if I returned.

My parents and I went for Father's Day brunch and everything was delicious. We saw Dandy Wellington and his band, and they were fantastic. It was busy but didn't feel crowded, and there was plenty of time between reservations so we could enjoy the music. I would definitely recommend this to a friend or anyone who wants a cozy jazz setting.

Fun night out. Good drinks, a little pricey for the music $20 per person even when seated in last seats (where you cannot see). Took 40 minutes to get drinks but otherwise it was great. The performer was wonderful! The food was good and we had fun.

We had a chance to catch Dandy Wellington & Band present Harlem 1935 and had a wonderful time. Really great entertainment. We were among the few that ordered dinner and enjoyed the biscuits and wings. It was really tight quarters so guests moved tables to sit. The service was not what we expected and additional training is needed.

I had brunch at the new The Cecil at Minton's today, with my daughter and her beau today. GREAT place! Wonderful music (featuring the very talented singers Alita Moses and Brandon Bain--both of whom will go on to greater fame although already well-recognized), delicious food (African, Asian and soul food-inspired), lovely ambiance, and terrific and attentive service. At a reasonable prix fixe of $35 for generously-sized appetizer, main dish and choice of a pineapple mimosa, bloody mary or yummy rum punch. Very cool crowd. The neighborhood is now one of the most charming in NYC, with LeeLee's Bakery, Harlem's purveyor of some of the best ruggelach you've ever had, just a block away, and the architecture a charming blend of brownstones and churches and beautiful old buildings in an area that has managed to avoid the blight of modern high rises. This place is not to be missed. I can't wait to return for dinner there!

The staff Was lovely and attentive.
The ribs were the best I have ever eaten anywhere. The kale salad was scuptious.
The jazz music and the piano, base, drums (please mention every individual artist name) was fabulous.
The two vocalists were on the top!
Truly enjoyed the entire experience and will return.
Thank you

Amazing food and jazz music. We came for Mother's Day and had 2 courses plus drink for $28 per person. Delicious kale salad, unique and perfectly cooked eggs Benedict with salmon and greens, top notch Bloody Mary. Service was perfect. Love this place, and music was so great! Will definitely come back. My entire party of 4 all loved their food.
