Mint Leaf Indian Cuisine
Possibly the most delicious food on Earth!
Good food, good value. Mu only complaint is that it took a half an hour to be seated for our 7 PM reservation.
The service is always second to none. A bit chilly when customers come through the door (frequently). You might bring a sweater. Food is great. 10 levels of spicy, so something for everyone. You may need to come several times to experiment. The help is always helpful, friendly. Food comes out fast. Great neighborhood place.
Good food brought quickly to out table. Waiter was friendly and helpful.
Well I have to start by saying this restaurant is one of THE best in the area and we always enjoy our evenings out here , but ....................,
Last Friday we were finishing up our meal had asked for the check, paid and were just getting ready to leave when our waitress came across and asked us to leave because they need the table !!!!!!!
To say we were shocked and taken aback was an understatement! Both of my friends thought the tone and delivery of the message was far to blunt and to be frank, rude !
We get you need to turn the tables over but a simple question, ‘ excuse me, is there anything else we can get for you?’ Would have been enough of a prompt for us to finish up.
A little more care and attention to customer service is definitely required !
This is a quaint little restaurant with exceptional food and ambiance!
My favorite place in Pasadena. Love it! The food is great and portions are very generous.
Delicious and fun
One of my neighborhood favorites! Delicious Indian food... at whatever level of spiciness suits you.
Food was delicious and came on time; water glasses were filled regularly; our table was a little close to the one next to ours so I felt like other people were listening to us- restaurant is a bit small.
Love the food, great atmosphere. My only gripe is that our food was mild. We ordered 7/10 on the spicy scale and there was no heat. On a previous visit, I ordered just below Thai hot, when they had a 1-5 scale (if my memory serves me) and I almost died of spice. I recommend really asking about the heat scale because obviously, we didn't understand the scale well enough to get what we wanted.
The flavor is amazing, and in spite of not being spicy hot enough, the flavor was incredible!
Every dish at this Indian restaurant is wonderfully delicious. Service is great and the staff are very friendly, helping to guide people unfamiliar with Indian cuisine on flavors and spiciness. They are always crowded and will soon need a second or larger space. I recommend reservations because it is so busy.
We’ve been regulars to Mint Leaf for quite some time and every single visit is as good as the prior. Even though we moved to Covina recently, we still take the drive to Mint Leaf whenever we crave Indian food. Kudos to Santos! He is the best!
I literally drive from Rancho to eat here...it's delicious!
Great food, service and atmosphere. Staff is friendly and very attentive. This was our second visit and we brought friends for their first. They thoughly enjoyed the dining experience as much as we did . Highly recommend making a reservation. We will be back soon.
We were hungry for Indian food and found good reviews of Mint Leaf so we gave it a try. It was New Year’s Eve and very busy but the staff was great so I don’t think anyone minded waiting to be seated. Given how many people were there, service was excellent and the hostess and waiter were smiling and conversant. We didn’t feel rushed and enjoyed back and forth banter and the food was delicious! Definitely going back.
Fantastic fiid for New Year’s eve
We are regulars and love to take guests here. Particularly if they are not familiar with Indian food. Great water, BTW.
We have been coming to Mint Leaf since it opened. Sadly we have been disappointed the past couple of times we have dined there. They seem to be very understaffed, which makes correcting orders very difficult. We asked for medium spiced food and received no spice at all. We asked for some hot sauce to remedy the problem, but never received it. The time before, one of our dishes was burned. They replaced it, but the 2nd batch was burned too (likely the whole pot of it). The wait staff is too busy checking in people or getting phone and pick up orders, to attend to the people who were eating. Finally, the prices seem to have gone up and the quality down. I hope they figure this out as we really liked having them there.
On December 30, we made a reservation for 5:00 p.m. - since they open at 5:00 p.m. we thought it would not be a problem at all to have a quiet meal. We were glad we had reservations because the restaurant was very, very busy within 45 minutes after it opened. The service started off well, but unfortunately it deteriorated very quickly. One of our entrees didn't come, even after asking about it. After we asked the second time, it still took such a long time that we just ended up bringing it home because everyone else had already finished eating. I'm not sure why the service was so bad considering that when we arrived and placed our order, they had only been opened for less than 30 minutes. The food was good, but because of the service, I'm not sure if we'll consider it again.
A wonderful restaurant with high quality and brilliantly prepared Indian specialties. The welcome is very warm and the service thoghtful and first class. Santos' mastery of the menu and dining room makes this a don't miss dining choice.
Very Good, except they were short staffed thus challenging the manager to balance the load on a very busy night. Will definitely go back
Really friendly staff and delicious food. Had the Lamb Curry and yellow lentil soup with garlic naan. Tasty !
Love this place! Service is great, food delicious as always.
I love Mint Leaf. My husband and I go often and have sampled so much of the menu. On a recent business meeting, I was surprised to find one inconsistency in the food. I like spicy food and usually order around 12 to 15 level spice. I'm familiar with the amount of "heat" in foods at this level. I ordered a 12 on this business lunch and found the dish very disappointing. It tasted like something close to level 5-6, which I have when I go with friends who do not tolerate spicy food. Please let me know that was an aberration -- I would be disappointed that the one restaurant that actually provides spice level that I like has ceased to exist! Otherwise, the rest of the meal was excellent, as was the service!
This is one of few restaurants we enjoy frequently.
Great food! Friendly, professional staff!
We love this place!
We are turning into regulars there! If you like Indian food you must go.
Consistently excellent food -- prepared to order and taste.
We love Mint Leaf Indian Cuisine! It is our go to place for Indian food. Excellent taste (authentic) and service is on point. We love our server, Santos. He always makes sure that our order is right and makes us always feel welcome. We will definitely be back again soon.
This was my 7th or 8th time eating here, and the 1st for my two friends. The food was flavorful and cooked very well, especially the Goan Shrimp had that fresh crunchy bite to them and the sauce was delicious. Everything else we ordered, from the vegetable samosas, mushroom appetizer, Kashmir Lamb, Chicken Biryani and Garlic Naan were cooked to perfection and the service by Corey was excellent as well. The homemade ice cream was a wonderful surprise, brought out to celebrate my friend's birthday and top off the meal. We will definitely make the trip from Burbank again and again to eat here.
Turning into a regular on any given week night. Already an Indian food fan, so this is great to satisfy that yummy curries craving. !
Yummy. Had a group of 6. Loved everything. Plenty of food and price was great!
Much better Indian food than any other restaurant in Pasadena.
I have been to Mint Leaf many times. Food is very good, but the service is not so good. All staff are friendly but the service is so slow. I think our server forgot about us the last time my family ate there. If you love Indian food and don't mind slow service - this is the place for you.
Great chicken tikka masala and Punjabi style curry
We love this local gem. The food is delicious and every new dish we try just adds to the choices we have to make. We’ve had great tandoori seafood here and this time we especially enjoyed the chicken kalimirch tikka and the lamb curry. The eggplant is wonderful and we also enjoyed the okra we tried this visit.
You do have to make a reservation in advance unless you want a long wait, but we’ve had good luck getting a same day reservation.
This last visit Santos was our waiter and the service, which is always good, was exceptional. We eat spicy and the wait staff was great about keeping our water glasses filled.
If you love good Indian food, you’ll love this place!
We have been to Mint Leaf many times for dinner but this was the first time for lunch. Hooray, no Indian buffet!! A full menu available with a selection of complete lunches too.
We were greeted in a friendly, professional manner and promptly seated. It was a slow night so we got a good feel for the restaurant. Our server was very friendly and efficient. She was helpful when we were trying to decide on what to order. We did not have to wait long for our food. It was delicious. We chose the right amount of heat for our dishes. I will add this to the list of restaurants that I frequent.
The lamb kabob was dry and not as spicy as we requested.
