Quite nice, attentive staff but my meal butter chicken was quite spicy and I had to swop with my partner, his meal was a little underwhelming coconut chicken curry.
Menu had a ‘code’ to describe its wines but no explanation of code was available and staff didn’t know what it meant either.
Overall pleasant but I’ve had much better there in the past.
Always lovely food, nice atmosphere and friendly staff. We travel from Chepstow just to go there but it's worth the journey.
Outstanding meal and wonderful service, thoroughly enjoyable!
Excellent meal and service best Jndian food around highly recommended
Great food and attentive service in a lovely space.
Excellent food and service and great central location in Penarth
Very good choice of starters, mains and desserts with great service. Their options are a bit different to many 'Indian' style restaurants. Their Biriyani with a 'pastry' topping is really delicious and the chocolate 'samosa' is rich and indulgent. You can have a choice of 3 mini desserts too!
Fantastic food service good flavours gorgeous would highly recommend
Excellent food and lovely service. Good value for money. Would have liked a childrens’s menu or smaller portions for children but apart from that nothing but positive
Thoroughly enjoyed our evening at Mint & mustard the food was fabulous and the staff were lovely. Thank you for a lovely meal
First time visiting mint and mustard and my family and I had a lovely time. Our waitress was super patient and attentive to us (we were being very indecisive) and really thorough with checking certain things were gluten free or not for my sister. The decor was lovely and felt really clean. The food was fab, piping hot and fresh, best chips and peshwari nan I’ve ever had! Will be back soon :) thank you!
Gorgeous food, so fresh tasting. Wide choice of vegetarian fishes.
Th naan bread alone is to die for, amazing. New fave.
Very good food and speedy service. Quantities very generous - we over-ordered and cdnt finish the mains or naan bread. Wd definitely go back .
We have been to Mint and Mustard previously. The food on this occasion was outstanding.
Lovely restaurant, great food and lovely decor. Can’t fault it. Great value for money too.
Mint and mustard Penarth is our curry restaurant of choice. We have visited many Indian restaurants over the years and the Mint and Mustard compares extremely well. If you live in the south east Wales, then we strongly recommend them to you.
Service is very good, good and atmosphere also is of a good standard

Good food good service, just a shame there were a group of men on a table that were incredibly loud and swearing but the team were more than happy to sit us further away from them.
Local, lovely ambience, lovely polite unobtrusive service, food excellent and we were glad they accommodated boxing up what was left to take home to enjoy later!!
The music was a little booming could have been a little more quiet. The taste of the food had changed was there a new chef ?
The onion bargee had far too much chilli was a bit overwhelming
The biryanis with chilli unusual - too spicy .
My Goan vindaloo very tasteful but there was a definite change to the flavour from previous ….. .i still enjoyed it
Seems that the chef was at little heavy on the chilli emphasise of his dishes rather than spices
Fabulous food - takes what you think you know about a traditional dish into a new dimension. Not the cheapest place to eat, but definitely value for money. Staff very polite and helpful. Decor is relaxed and comfortable, but the noise level can be high.
Wonderful food and we were well looked after. Thoroughly recommend it to others.
Good ambiance food excellent will definitely go again
Excellent food and service in a pleasant well organised restaurant. All starters are beautifully presented and taste delightful. Main courses are all gorgeous. Staff are lovely.
The menu choice is more limited than perhaps we are used to and the prices are not cheap. However, that is probably the reason why they can provide such consistent quality of food and service.
Mint and Mustard have a winning formula for us.
Fabulous food and amazing service too. Can’t wait to come back again next time we are in South Wales.
A fantastic evening, the food was outstanding in flavour and presentation. The service was excellent, I would go back time and time again.
Good food, great atmosphere and excellent service.
We went to Mint and Mustard for my son's birthday and had a great evening. We were a party of 11 and they managed this number of people very well.
The food was excellent, as was the service, we will definitely be back.
Mint and mustard is always excellent - their food is a bit out of the ordinary and the flavours are great - just wish they did more South Indian food like dosas!
Brilliant food, especially the Rara Gosht, great staff, we will definitely be back again
This was the third time we had visited Mint and Mustard (Penarth), and we continued to be impressed by the service and the food. The staff as always were very attentive and provided an excellent service. For my wife and I, Mint and Mustard is one of the best in the area.
My grandson who hadn’t been before said is meal was better than expected. He had lamb biryani.
I would high recommend the restaurant to anyone.
Fantastic food and great service as always! Chocomosa is a must!
Great restaurant. Food divine. Service second to none. Fresh ingredients, expertly cooked. Great value. Went there with a friend. Had the signature salmon dish which I can highly recommend. Chicken dhansak which was divine together with a tarka dhal. The wine list suits every pocket. Very enjoyable. Nice atmosphere
Great food and amazing service. We had a late evening booking and was a great atmosphere.
lovely food, a bit noisy for me though.
waiters didn't ask if anyone wanted rice with their meal and i diner didn't realise rice was separate so had it be ordered after the food came so he had to wait. perhaps it would have been sensible for the waiter to ask if rice or bread was wanted for those that don't know.
Perfect as always , the most delicious tasting curry you will get
Excellent in every way ….you even remembered my request for a “nice table please !” on greeting us and we were given a lovely table in the back corner. Great service and fabulous food. Thank you, we’ll be back!
Please send note to restaurant as unable to add separate note at end of survey.
A definite step above the rest. A great selection of favourites and something you may not have tried before.
Food was amazing! Best Indian food we've had in years! Lovely flavours and everyone enjoyed theirs and each others! Would definitely go again and again !
Very nice restaurant, the food was so tasty and possibly the best Indian food we have ever had!
