For centuries, the world’s most exciting cuisine have originated from the Far East – mainland China, Kingdom of Thailand and Indonesia to name a few. Each country has its own unique style of cooking, but they share many common ingredients and all possess a similar approach to food. Far Eastern cooking features five distinct flavors: bitter, salty, sweet, sour and hot. They have achieved a perfect harmony of taste, color, flavor and texture by lending the herbs to enhance these natural tastes. Ming lends itself to these believes and executes a variety of Far East dishes to perfection.

Best Indo Chinese place in New Jersey. Many of my American friends who visit Chinese restaurants at least twice a month changed to Ming's permanently and never go to the so called regular American Chinese restaurants!!
The restaurant was not open.
The reservation was for 4:30pm and the one employee inside only offered us to come back at 5:30pm or give us a seat at 5pm - and place to sit.
Food was ok not that great. We had shrimp Biryani and we had to send it back as it was tasteless. Appetizers were ok but not up to the standards that they had earlier.
We love Ming. It’s the only Chinese/Indian fusion around and it’s great. Like many of the Indian restaurants nearby it doesn’t fill up before 8:00 pm so you can get a table if you’re not a late arrival. It shares a kitchen with Mogul, which is excellent Indian cuisine and you can usually order from either menu. Highly recommended!
This place has become pathetic
Won’t ever go back again
I have been coming to Ming since it opened and the quality and taste of the food went down
Went there after years and was disappointed a by a significant drop in the food quality.
Website said that they had indoor & outdoor dinning. My party & I prefer outdoor dining due to pandemic however they did not have much customers so they were able to accommodate social distance sitting. They only had indoor dining. They need to improve on their cocktail. I would never get their cocktails. Our server was not customer friendly and gave us bad attitude. I had been to Ming years ago & the food and drinks were excellent. Since the management changed food & drinks went downhill. I went twice this year. Will I go again, the answer is no. Other Indian restaurants in Edison/Iselin are far better.
They have really stepped up their game!
One restaurant that has improved during the pandemic
Loved the outdoor dining area
Ming came highly recommended for us and we chose it for our anniversary dinner. Overall, it was a good experience, but the staff actually rushed us towards the end because they wanted the table cleared fast. We would not say no to serve additional food to a customer even if it means delay in making the table available for someone else. They did it. On the basis of food, which was really good, we would give it a good rating. If it was for service and staff, it would be a zero.
It had been awhile since I had visited Ming, but our last time there it was amazing. So we were really looking forward to going again with friends, since it had been over 5yrs since our last visit. We were really disappointed with the experience. First, they are severely understaffed. We only saw 3 people waiting for about 20+ tables, all which were filled. The portion sizes on about half of the dishes were smaller than expected. We ordered Drums of Heaven as an appetizer; which is a must have. The sauce they cook it in is fantastic, but the amount of meat on each piece was very, very small. Even the women at the table complained about the portion size. The Tum Yum soup was not very good and was served warm. We ordered an item off the Specials because we had seen the table next to us order it and while it tasted great, again the portion size was very small. The lamb chili entree was excellent and the portion size was what would have been expected. The other dishes we ate were not that tasty. We mentioned this to the servers there. Ming used to be a place where you could always expect high quality food but unfortunately over time, that doesn't seem to be the case anymore. Also, there were so many small kids there after 9pm and they were so loud, with some of them screaming. I know that Ming can't control that, but it did make the whole experience less desirable.
Good food. Restaurant could use an update - carpet is a little dirty.
Great food an service.
It was so nice to take my husband out for his birthday to a wonderful meal close To home. I greatly enjoyed everything from the drums of heaven and lotus root appetizers to the amazing cocktails to the delicious main course. The wait staff was polite and accommodating. We’ll be back in February to celebrate another birthday.
Excellent food and service . Will recommend to everyone .
Will never dine here again. Service is terrible and food tasted old.
I found the food very spicy.we had ordered some dishes non spicy but they switched it around.
I loved Ming from the moment it opened. The food was delicious, the service gracious, the experience unique. In recent years, the food has been mostly the same (with some changes for the worse), but the service has deteriorated to the point that it adversely impacts the entire experience. My most recent meal there had us with a service who could barely answer questions or understand what we were saying, food and drinks that were missed and didn't come out in a timely fashion, and the ultimate insult, an 18% service charge added on - without warning - for a table of only 4 people! That was the final straw. I'm sooo sorry to say, but I cannot endorse this restaurant anymore.
They got our appetizer at the end of the meal. Never got the kids drink that we have ordered.
The worst service ever, and managers and waiters were very uncooperative and unresponsive!
My favorite restaurant , food is delicious, went there several times
Everything was excellent, food was vey tasty, quantities were little smaller than I expected. You can't go wrong with any dish. Order chilli paneer dry, otherwise there is too much gravy
Food was good, ambiance was good as well, but felt it was a bit congested.
It is very expensive and the quantity of food you get is not worth the money you spent
Service and ambience needs overhaul
Wonderful indian chinese food and to top it amazing Indian desert.
A complete delight👌
everything was fine missed our chef Bahadur though Congratulations on the new addition in his family God Bless
Poor mgmt, value for money and food quality was very bad.
I have been to Ming before and had a positive experience each time. This visit, however, was different. I identified to the waiter that both my friend and I were gluten intolerant and asked if one of the dishes could be prepared gluten free. He said no. He pointed out on the menu that items marked "H" were gluten free, which was noted on the bottom of the menu. We wanted to share an appetizer between the 3 of us and he pointed out 3 items which we could order. One of them (marked with an "H") was dim sum. I questioned him about the dough of the dumpling and he said he thought it was prepared with rice flour. Although surprised, I was pleased. He went into the kitchen while we were deciding and came back out stating that the dim sum was indeed made with wheat flour and the only item that we could have was the papaya salad, which we ordered. When it arrived, it arrived in a crispy bowl (not sure what it was made from, but we ate out of the bowl). I wanted to order a seafood item and was told it was not gluten free but was steered to a shrimp curry. That was delicious, but the shrimp were dusted with flour of some sort....and it made me leary, so I took Gluten Cutter just to be safe. It is sad that a wonderful restaurant is sending such mixed messages. I unfortunately, will not return.
Ming has excellent Indo-Chinese food at a good price. The cuisine is similar to what you would get at an upscale Chinese restaurant in India. In particular, the appetizers are excellent. The service is also very good.
Promptly seated as they had our reservation, food was excellent, good variety of vegetarian options and the spice level matched our taste. As it got busier, service got a bit slower at times but never really an issue. Will certainly be back.
Great food and very attentive staff. There was lots of variety on the menu as well.
Our waiter Prasanta was wonderful. We were a party of about 8 and he answered all of our questions and was very patient and accommodating. The food was great but it was definitely very crowded and the food took a while to get to the table. Overall it was a great night!
We were a large group of friends getting together - 10 adults and 9 kids. All the servers were patient and attentive to our group. Special thanks to Prashant who made sure our entire party was well taken care of. Food was good and so was the ambience. It was a wonderful experience overall and we will definitely return.
Pushant was great ! Super helpful, patient and very polite. Highly recommend
The service was a bit slow but the food was excellent with sharable portions. The staff was polite and attentive. A hidden gem. Thank you Ming and Open Table!
Fantastic service; good food
Too pricey for regular visits. Maybe on occasion. Food was tasty.
Always great food and service.
