Ming is one of my favorite restaurants especially for special occasions like valentines or anniversaries. Love the food, service and vegetarian options! Big fan of indo-Chinese and Ming gets it bang on right! Very flavorful and well made dishes. Can go again and again and again!
Very disappointed in the food. I have been to Ming before and Ming II as well. I ordered the fried shrimp which tasted like they had been refried. I also ordered the sea bass which was definitely refried. In fact, the batter was so thick, I could barely cut and chew through it. The service was poor, but it was Valentine's day so, I guess that is to be expected. Will not return.
5 of us who work together went here for Valentine’s Day. The server was very attentive, the food service was quick and efficient, and we had plenty to eat. The cauliflower appetizer was amazing! The portions are large so be sure to share your dishes
Third time here. This time with 9 colleagues. Wonderful food and service!
We really enjoyed our meal at Ming II. The staff was friendly and the food was delicious. I especially loved the cauliflower appetizer. They have a nice selection of wines by the glass too. The only suggestion I have is that they switch from styrofoam takeout containers to those that can be recycled.
Extremely varied menu... excellent drinks.wonderful decor.
Very disappointed. Food not even close to the level they charge. Service was non existent.
Food was average at best but service was good.
Excellent food. Their cocktails are also very good and a must try!
Great food with lots of vegetarian options. Spice level and taste very similar to authentic indochinese food.
The food was amazing, portions good sized and the service was good.
Dined here this past weekend for NYE and the food was absolutely amazing but I don’t know if the heat was broken or what was going on but it was absolutely freezing in the restaurant and it made the whole experience unbearable. As soon as we got the food we basically packed up to leave because it was SO cold. Also none your hostesses were helpful in actually finding your location. I had to go and get a hotel worker to help me and my friends get there. Again, the food was SO good and I would recommend...as soon as you get your heat fixed
Went to Ming II on New Year's Eve. There was no heat and the restaurant was freezing. There was no attempt to explain and the restaurant got colder as dinner wore on. As a reward for sitting through a frigid dinner, we were offered ice cream, a cruel joke after a cold and drafty dinner.
Not sure I will be returning. This is the second time I had to pay the 5 parking fee due to them not validating my parking. Not happy.
What a disappointment for what had been a favorite, elegant Asian upscale. While it was Christmas Day, it's no surprise that many who do not celebrate the holiday would be out for dinner. They had no excuse for being understaffed. The food? The papaya salad dressing was complex and complemented the dish, but the papaya was not ripe. The duck taco also was sauced well, but arrived lukewarm. The ample sized Lamb Szechuan did its best to hide the lamb amidst the veggies, but was tasty, if montone spicy. The Eggplant Red Curry trailed the pack, with a hint of what the sauce may have been like if it were not gelatinous.
Very nice Christmas meal. Staff was wonderful; food tasty. Cocktail was strong so in every aspect a lovely experience.
The attendant at the reception did something with my parking ticket and told me it was validated. Unfortunately, at the exit ended up paying for the parking (the ticket was apparently not validated)
This place is consistently good! Love the food here and highly recommend!
Noise from one table unbearable....
Kitchen is not as good as Ming I in Edison....
Ming II is a great restaurant for friends to gather or to bring your co-workers. We would definitely visit Ming II again in the future for an event whether its business or leisure and recommend it for anyone who is looking for great Indo-Chinese food!
Many spicy dishes, not many non-spicy or healthier options. More salad selections would have been great.
Excellent! Beautiful restaurant , great food , generous portions, delicious seasonal handcrafted cocktails, elaborate & reasonably priced wine list( Excellent wine list!! you'll be pleasantly surprised ) , efficient & personable servers!!! We did not want anything else for our Thanksgiving family dinner! Must try for delicious Thai Green curry and tons of other choices from all over Asia . I felt like the focus is on Thailand, Malaysia and Chines cuisine and some items with Indian twist. Parking is also very convenient! Great experience
The waiter made some good suggestions and helped describe which plates could be shared based on how big the portion was.
I had Penang curry with my wife and the noodle dish with shrimp - yum!
Below average food and terrible service! Compared to Nanking (another Pan Asian restaurant), the food and service is way down! Manager was empathic toward our concerns and was apologetic with promise of better food and service experience in the future.
My wife and I were excited to go to Ming II as the ambiance looks great and the menu had lots of options. We love exploring the many restaurants in Morristown. Although the food was very good (shrimp in green curry sauce was excellent), our service was very poor. Delays in drinks being delivered as well as paying the check really took away from date night. The loud music coming from the bar next door did not help matters either. The experience definitely left a poor impression on us and left us doubtful we would return.
Great Asian food and lovely ambience. We will definitely be back
The staff was right on cue, fantastic, attentive, friendly, and professional. The ambiance is great, the décor is unique, modern, and sleek. Low lighting (yet not too dark) was impeccable for a relaxing dinner. The wait staff was right on cue and fantastic. Interesting entry set up, it is three places in one location. Adjoining it is an Indian cuisine restaurant and small cocktail lounge. The south east Asian part (Ming II) is one of the spokes, so to speak, off of this central hub maître d' desk. The restaurant can be somewhat challenging to find as it’s not really visible from the roads or even from the building to which it is attached. Overall food was satisfying, arrived timely, and met all expectations. I would complain about the parking situation, but they do validate parking tickets at the maître d' desk, so I would recommend parking in the hotel parking garage immediately behind/ attached to the restaurant and you don’t have to pay for it post validation.
Beautiful dinning room. The duck salad was wonderful and the red snapper in lemongrass and ginger was perfect. Interesting wine list.
I have already recommended to several friends.
