Minerva's - Sioux Falls Ratings and Reviews
I took my son there for his 13th birthday while I was on a business trip. The food was good. I heard a lot about the salad bar, but I wasn't all that impressed with it. There were a lot of "salads", cheese and soup, but a little light on the vegetables to make a salad. It was good, but not worth the extra money for the salad bar.
The service was very good and the meal was tasty. The ambiance was enjoyable and the tiramisu was amazing!
Minerva's never disappoints. The service is impeccable, and the food is the best in Sioux Falls. Even on a busy Friday night, our server made us feel special, and the restaurant stayed quiet enough for us to carry a conversation without yelling or straining to hear. Bottom line: If you want an unforgettable dining experience that you'll be raving about for days, Minerva's is your place.
We have traveled extensively, enjoying many fine restaurants. We have always felt that Minerva's ranked above 90% of other restaurants nationally, especially for the salad bar and moderate pricing. The ambiance and table staff were outstanding. We appreciated the quiet atmosphere. And upon arriving, the hosts/hostesses were well-appointed, knowledgeable, and unfailingly courteous and helpful. We are constantly amazed that such an outstanding restaurant's flagship is located in Sioux Falls, SD
My wife ordered the sea food stuffed crepe. Nice presentation and wonderful flavor!
I had the lobster mac and cheese. Taste was great, but needs a better presentation and creamier texture.
Our waitress, Kelsey, was awesome!
We drove to Sioux Fall from New Mexico. We moved to New Mexico 8 1/2 years ago. Before that we always went to Minerva's on New Years Eve with 3 other couples. We contacted them, and we all met again after 9 years. The staff was wonderful and we had an amazing meal and visit with our friends. It was wonderful. We even were seated at the same table we had 9 years ago. Amazing.
Fantastic meal! Husband said he’d drive the 3 1/2 hours distance we live just to eat there again. Great ambiance, friendly staff, salad bar could be your meal. We were in the area for a conference and so glad we ate at Minerva’s.
The food was great. When we paid the billl we had a gift card and gave the waitress our credit card. She brought our slip to sign and did we didnt give our credit card back. We didn't realize until the next day we didn't get our credit card back. So we stopped the credit card. This is the second time we ate ate at minervas and didn't get our credit card back. The card should have come back with our slip to sign.
Tried to reserve a table for 5:30 or 6. Not available despite calling the Restraunt and being told I would need to reserve for 4:30. Got to the Restraunt and we’re seated in a empty room that remained so until 6pm. We were seated in the back by the kitchen😡 food was very good. My Manhattan was one of the worst I’ve had. Service was good. All in all a good evening despite poor policies on behalf of the management.
We went to celebrate 2 birthdays. Service was terribly slow and the waitress didn't know anything about the craft beer on the menu. It took a super long time just to get our drinks and food. We almost left because it took so long. I had seafood Mac and cheese, which was just ok. Nothing special. My fiance had prime rib and that was good. My daughter had chicken Oscar and she liked that a lot. I don't think I'd choose to come here again though. The experience was not unpleasant, but it wasn't good either.
We have never had a bad experience at Minervas in Sioux Falls, The staff is pleasant and helpful with out being obnoxious, well trained and experienced. The salad bar is consistently good, and worth the trip all on it's own. Minerva's still is my "go-to" restaurant for anytime we have an out of town guest.
Minerva's has been a family favorite for years! The food is delicious and varied, so it's always easy for everyone to find something to enjoy. The service is excellent and the servers are genuine and helpful. This is consistently a fabulous place to enjoy a meal!
Our go to place when we visit family for Christmas. The atmosphere is wonderful and the staff very friendly. This year, my filet mignon and baked potato was not up to quality I expected. Everyone else in our party expressed their entree was excellent.
My friends and I had a wonderful time! Our server Angelina was friendly and efficient. I had the Frenched Airline Chicken Breast Oscar and it was AMAZING!!! The chicken was moist, the shrimp gigantic. There was nothing left on the plate except a tiny bone when I was done. Greeting staff very friendly also. Loved it!!
Three of our four meals were superb as we have come to expect at Minerva's. However the halibut fish special was overdone and the mashed potatoes cold and tasteless. It is impossible to achieve perfection every time. Nevertheless that diner was quite disappointed. We will certainly dine there again and hope for four out of four superb meals next time.
We considered this a treat for a date night during a weekend getaway, and presumably it was in our minds one of the most expensive restaurants in the Sioux Falls area. We were pleasantly surprised by the competitive pricing and the friendly atmosphere. It will certainly be a viable option for us in the future!
Our reservation was "changed" I was confirmed for 6:15 but the hostess said we were in for 7:15. We had to wait about 10 minutes for our table. Salad bar was great. Food was pretty good. I ordered the New York strip, it was cooked correctly but the beef was a bit grainy. This happens when it sits in blood in a bag.
