Located in the vibrant neighbourhood of Yaletown, Minami follows the pioneering footsteps of its sister restaurant, Miku, in delivering the innovative dining experience of Aburi cuisine to Vancouver's thriving food scene. Each piece of sushi is flame-seared using a blowtorch and binchotan (oak charcoal), resulting in sushi with a smoky aroma and a melt-in-your-mouth texture.

    Noteworthy dining experience because of the food and service. Fantastically good and fresh sushi, oysters, halibut and A5 Wagyu. From the starters to mains to dessert, every dish soared. Absolutely memorable for the attentive and perfect service. Our table of three diners was welcomed and seated promptly and treated exceptionally well. Do not miss out on the local oysters as a starter! It is an absolute "celebratory" restaurant and the energy and volume channeled as much. Pro-tip, ask for a quiet table in the back for a more intimate experience.

    Our server was amazing and we thoroughly enjoyed our visit. One the things we dearly miss are the tofu salad and Saba oshi- please bring them back!

    We were attended to by a charming server who was courteous and helpful We sat on the Patio and felt comfortable . The food is as always excellent.. We all enjoyed our meal.. as we have every time we go to Minami. We appreciated being outside where the noise level was zero.. WE could have a conversation without difficulty.. We love Minami, and will continue to enjoy many more meals. WE live in Yaletown, so it is convenient..

    This is a good change from Miku in a sense that it is a bit less “formal” . The sushi is as good and the service was great.

    Everyone who came to our table was so incredibly nice. The food is always delicious - we had to double down on the Champagne Roll, the grilled vegetables and - obviously - the Salmon Aburi ♥️♥️♥️ Adrienne (I think that was her name) our server was very attentive and nice, it was the perfect send-off dinner for my friends!

    The food was very good and worth the price. The waitress checked on us frequently to make sure we got what we needed and the food came fairly quick after ordering. Will definitely be going here for special occasions :)
