Good food but exceedingly expensive when compared to the,amount of food served. We had to order additional dishes just to be satiated. The wine too was highly priced for an inexpensive bottle of white wine. Presentation is lovely but if carcasses and flowers cannot be eaten they should not take up most of the room on your plate of a few thin pieces of sashimi. They should be more generous with their fish for the prices charged.

We came here for a Valentine’s Date and everything was so delicious. We ordered the aburi beef carpaccio, the salmon oshi sushi, the Saba oshi sushi, the ebi oshi sushi, and the champagne roll. I have to say, I was pleasantly surprised by the ebi aburi sushi - the citrus flavour complimented the ebi so well! We also ordered a matcha lemonade and a glass of nichol Pinot Gris white wine. Everything was simply delicious. The service was great too. We always have a wonderful time here and cannot wait to come back!

If you want a fancy sushi restaurant which serves sushi at expensive prices, with a nice ambience, than Minami is a good choice! However if you're looking for value and better tasting/quality sushi then you best venture elsewhere. I would recommend this as a place to try, or a place for a social function not for a place where you want good quality sushi for the price. I say this due to the fact the aburi sushi (top is seared) came to us cold, as if it was sitting there waiting for a server. The sushi rice was also cold, as if it was taken out of a fridge not too long ago. I guess it was my fault for coming here with high expectations as I knew the sushi came with a high price point. The Service however, was great! Very friendly and water glass was constantly topped up and each sushi roll came with an explanation of what it was. However, service can only go so far. I can say I am glad I tried Minami but for the price point I will gladly go to other sushi joints that offer the same if not better sushi at better prices.

Everything is fine just the food servicing is a little bit slow

Didn't really enjoy the flavor of their "famous" salmon roll. Overall, it was a very underwhelming experience, and we left disappointed. Out of all of the meals we had over a week of vacation in Vancouver and Whistler, this was the least favorite.

Minami is the best sushi I’ve had. We are not from Vancouver and when we get the chance to make it up there, we always go to Minami without a question!

My friend and I did the Dine Out Vancouver, lunch and it was as expected. Delicious and everything came out at a timely manner and each dish was well described by all the servers. Thank you to all for this great experience.

Always a pleasure dining at to Minami! Quality of food is always great and we are always reminded that we should come back more often! All of the Aburi sushis are amazing!

Our waiter was very attentive. I just hope he mentioned his name when he approached the table. Food was a hit or miss. Overall, it was a good experience.

Service was horrible. The server did not even greet us until 20 minutes later when we were ready to order she served another customer that just sat down. We were not even give water then. She even got our order wrong. She was more interested in hiding in a corner flirting with the manager. I will never go back to Minami. Miku is so much better and I suggest that anyone considering going to Minami to go to Miku instead.

Our absolute must visit every time we come to Vancouver!

Minami offers high-quality sushi and sashimi and beautifully presented dishes. Their food and service are consistent every visit. We definitely recommend this restaurant to everyone!

I had the dine out menu and it was excellent. As my first time going to Minami, it was a wonderful sample of what kind of dishes they offer. Great staff. I will be coming back.

Service is extremely slow. We waited 15-20 minutes to be seated (we were on time for our reservation) and the first dish was served after 20-25 minutes. We are never going to go back.

Food is good but aburi sushi had turned cold when s arrived at table. The hot food was of good temperature though

Minami is just not special anymore, there are other options for aburi sushi. I think we'll be skipping Minami next year, sorry!

Sat at the bar and the bartender was phenomenal. Quick response, recommended King Salmon (which was out of this world) and was friendly and personable.

I had high expectations of this place as it was associated with Miku. Our friendly server was wonderful, however I can't really say that much about the food. We ordered the $45 sampling for lunch ( it was ALOT of food). Nothing really stood out for me as it wasn't really all that special. I don't think I would revisit the restaurant again as there are so many other places to try.

Lovely time with my mother, sushi was spectacular and a nice variety - the salmon aburi is to die for! Only issue is service was very slow and the server never really apologized or let us know what was going on - if we had been in a hurry this would have been a problem.

Food was good. Friendly hostesses but some servers felt a little snobbish.

compare to miku, minami has a bit less options... for lunch, not sure about dinner. the taste and service is just same outstanding, I would prefer minami lunch since its much quieter than miku :)
