Milton's Cuisine and Cocktails Ratings and Reviews
Milton's was great once again. Food is simply delicious and service excellent.
This time we sat at a place we had never been before. I think it is where they have an open terrace for warm weather, now covered for winter weather. It was a bit too warm in fact.
Great place to go to!
Yet another phenomenal meal!
This was our third New Year's Eve celebrated in Georgia and our third New Year's Eve spent at Milton's. We cannot imagine being anywhere else.
The prix-fixe menu was top notch with excellent, upscale selections. The entire staff was welcoming.
It is a great way to start off a New Year!
We always love the food and bar ambiance here, in fact we always opt to sit in the bar even when we have a reservation. Food is always good, good portions (we always have leftovers), and great service. New Years Eve was a bit expensive for the Prix Fixe menu (plenty of choices and great food as usual) but won't deter us from going again.
I love this place.
Great southern foods with and updated Americana twist.
I go there about once a month, and always have a great experience.
The food and the service is excellent.
Also, the atmosphere is great.
Great for brunch with the girls on Sunday, or for date night.
Also, great place to sit outside in the summer.
My steak came cut up for me, making it dry. The potato was cold, second time around was better. We went there December 26 and were they put us ever time someone came in the door we were hit with a blast of cold air. Service was ok, really not worth the money
Overall, this is an awesome restaurant! It is beautiful inside. We had a party of 7 for a company holiday dinner and they were accommodating when we had to switch our reservation from 645 to 845. The only thing with that was when the first part of the party got there they were told the kitchen was closing at 9 so we had to get our orders in. I do not mind and certainly understand but would have preferred to be given a heads up when I called to change the reservation so we possibly could have looked before. Everything on the menu sounded very good. We ordered the deviled eggs and oysters for appetizers, outstanding! I ordered the pasta of the day which had steak, lobster and a blue cheese cream sauce I believe. The dish sounded and looked great. When I first tried it, it tasted very good but after a few more bites, the dish was EXTREMELY salty to the point I actually couldn't eat it anymore. I ended up eating the meat out of it and leaving the pasta. I did not want to say anything at that point because I knew the kitchen had closed and didn't want to cause an issue. Although, I did try everyone else's meals (trout, pork chop, meatloaf) and they were all delicious. The food is very good but I probably would only order off the standard menu from now on.
Milton's is one of our go to special occasions restaurants but... this time we were seated in one of the small rooms with a VERY LOUD party of 16+ table next to us. Since the rooms are so small the noise level was so loud we could hardly hear each other over the noisy table next to us. I was surprised that they even seated guests in that room since it was so loud from the large party of 16+ they only had a 2 top and 4 top that they could have seated elsewhere. I would suggest that Milton's be aware of this situation when they have large parties in small rooms, it really ruined our special family celebration... it was anything but relaxing and special. As we finished up our meal the large party left and all the sudden it was a totally enjoyable ambiance. Let's face it Milton's food is usually very good, but it is the ambiance that makes this place special.
The food arrived barely warm. We sent it back and a couple minutes they returned with our steaks "warmed up" but they were still barely warm. The server said they did not want to heat them up too much to overcook the steak. So our choices were pay $38 for a cold steak cooked to our requested tempurature or get a warm steak that was overcooked???
We walked out $300 lighter and very disappointed.
Wonderful atmosphere. Very friendly and great service. Appetizers are always the best and the chef continues to be creative. Wait staff is very friendly and knowledgeable about everything on the menu.
The bar is great place to unwind and relax before dinner.
Always our go for special occasions. Kitchen had an off night with steaks not cooked as ordered. First steak was overdone and staff was gracious about redoing. Next steak was so underdone it was cold. At this point, we accepted since all other food on table was getting cold. We will try again.
We’ve dined many times at Milton’s and we will return even though this experience was not as satisfactory. We made the reservation almost a week before and asked for a table in one of the small rooms as we were celebrating our 38th wedding anniversary. When we arrived we were placed directly outside the small rooms which had been reserved for a large birthday party. We asked to be reseated away from th noisy party, which was done. It would have been no to have received a call or email saying that a table in one of the small rooms was not available. My wife loved her filet but my strip steak was so-so. The free dessert was a delicious and a nice touch.
