Milton's Cuisine and Cocktails Ratings and Reviews
Milton's is one of our go to special occasions restaurants but... this time we were seated in one of the small rooms with a VERY LOUD party of 16+ table next to us. Since the rooms are so small the noise level was so loud we could hardly hear each other over the noisy table next to us. I was surprised that they even seated guests in that room since it was so loud from the large party of 16+ they only had a 2 top and 4 top that they could have seated elsewhere. I would suggest that Milton's be aware of this situation when they have large parties in small rooms, it really ruined our special family celebration... it was anything but relaxing and special. As we finished up our meal the large party left and all the sudden it was a totally enjoyable ambiance. Let's face it Milton's food is usually very good, but it is the ambiance that makes this place special.
The food arrived barely warm. We sent it back and a couple minutes they returned with our steaks "warmed up" but they were still barely warm. The server said they did not want to heat them up too much to overcook the steak. So our choices were pay $38 for a cold steak cooked to our requested tempurature or get a warm steak that was overcooked???
We walked out $300 lighter and very disappointed.
Wonderful atmosphere. Very friendly and great service. Appetizers are always the best and the chef continues to be creative. Wait staff is very friendly and knowledgeable about everything on the menu.
The bar is great place to unwind and relax before dinner.
We’ve dined many times at Milton’s and we will return even though this experience was not as satisfactory. We made the reservation almost a week before and asked for a table in one of the small rooms as we were celebrating our 38th wedding anniversary. When we arrived we were placed directly outside the small rooms which had been reserved for a large birthday party. We asked to be reseated away from th noisy party, which was done. It would have been no to have received a call or email saying that a table in one of the small rooms was not available. My wife loved her filet but my strip steak was so-so. The free dessert was a delicious and a nice touch.
Family of 4 went for Thanksgiving Day, first-timers. Menu was limited for traditional fare! Room temp was uncomfortably warm for the weather, atypical at this time I understand, although they put on ac to accommodate guests. Pricey for atmosphere & food offerings. If you are looking for a simple home cooked meal with the usual fixings it’s not here, organic or not!
Came to Milton's for Thanksgiving dinner. Valet made parking a snap, was greeted warmly. Happy to see we were not being herded like cattle, as most restaurants on Thanksgiving. No huge buffet to gorge on and waste-- instead was presented a beautiful southern meal in a relaxed setting. The trout was phenomenal.. Great experience!
We were there for Thanksgiving. The meal was awful. The turkey was like pressed turkey roll, the salads had obviously been parked for a while, no one in our party like their food. Talk about an overpriced meal. I like fine dining and this was not it . How sad for Thanksgiving 😖😖😖
Milton’s is our go to for our anniversary and they never disappoint! The menu traditions are always terrific but their creative seasonal specialties are always spot on. Their food makes them a keeper but their service is just darn superb! We go multiple times a year and it is always a treat!
My boyfriend and I came for our 1 year aniversary and were blown away! My only complaint is that our entrees took a while to get to us, but we had the amazing pimento dip to distract us. Amazing ambiance, service, and food! I recommended Milton’s to my brother and his girlfriend the moment we I got home!
When we arrived we were quickly served a basket of muffins and biscuits. The wait staff came right over and took our order when we were ready. There was a wide variety of breakfast choices, we chose the shrimp and grits and the blackened salmon with grits. Both dishes were delicious as well as the desert. I highly recommend Milton's for Brunch.
Milton's is a favorite for special occasions or a weekend dinner. Their farm-to-table menu is inspired and the food was superb. We will be back with family soon! We also like the fact that the service was attentive and helpful. Finally, the noise level wasn't so loud that you couldn't hear the others in your party. We LOVE Milton's!
I have been coming here for over twenty years! Remember Mr John Bs and the horse drawn buggy rides at Sunday brunch with my children! Milton’s has definitely had its ups and downs over the years but this visit was impressive. The food was fabulous and service was impeccable.
Finally, a restaurant that lives up to its online reputation and rating. From the rustic and warm, yet elegant and upscale farmhouse environment to the professional and attentive, yet very pleasant staff and servers, you’ll feel welcome and right at home no matter what the occasion. But, the reason you will come back time and time again, will be the food. From appetizer to main course to dessert, you will not be disappointed. Some of the best food I’ve ever had.
I ordered a new dish, charred broccoli/cauliflower/red onions over pureed sweet potatoes with Asher bleu cheese -- an odd combination. When I asked our server about it, he was quite vague. Although I decided to try, I do not recommend it. It came out barely warm, and the bleu cheese just did not offer any interest to the dish. My friend ordered the fried chicken which was very good.
Milton's is a delight each and every time we visit. From date night to celebrations with friends and even a family dinner with all 4 kids, we are met with friendly, knowledgeable staff and delicious food. It's nice to have a restaurant with this kind of consistency and dependability.
Went for a birthday dinner. We sat outdoors in the lovely courtyard. It has two levels. The upper level had a guitar player so we opted for the quieter lower level. There was occasional road noise to content with. Appetizer Fried Pickles was tasty as was dipping sauce. Prosecco and Malbec wines were good. Bread selection of flat and Italian was very good. Crusted trout with sweet potato shrimp fritters was amazing. Kobe style steak was also delicious. We also received a tour of the Milton gardens upon arrival, which we appreciated
