Milton's Cuisine and Cocktails Ratings and Reviews
We went for Valentine's Day, so there was a fixed price menu which was over priced in my opinion, but guess every restaurant takes advantage of Valentine's Day. I had the shrimp and lobster, which was very good but basically a salad and more of a lunch item. I had the cake for dessert, icing was good but cake very dry. Service was impeccable and atmosphere was good, but tough to have a private conversation in a little room with others almost right next to you. There is better seating in the restaurant which would solve that problem. I would go back, just not on a holiday.
Went for Valentines Day and had a reservation. Valet parking was easy, we were seated promptly which itself was a big surprise to me based on other Valentines Day experiences. Prix fixe menu had lots of choice and was very creative. All courses were delivered promptly and the food quality was excellent. Our first visit here and we’ll be back soon.
We sat in the bar area and really enjoyed the live music. It was Valentines Day, so there was a set menu for the night. All of the food was amazing!! I had a Moscow mule type drink made with pear liqueur and it was delicious!!!
Always a perfect night when we go to Milton’s!
We come here several times a year, and we are always pleased. Great atmosphere, food and service. Jeff was both pleasant and attentive. Wife always enjoys the trout, while I had blackened salmon with spinach and mashed potatoes. In the warmer months, outdoor dining is very nice, especially when they have live music. We will certainly be back soon.
Arrived 15 minutes early, was told we would not be seated until our reservation time , assuming matre d would come for us at our reservation time, we went to the bar as suggested, 25 minutes later we went to inquire about seating and then was seated. Limited bar selection to maybe 6 types of beer. Ordered appetizer, Oysters, which were no bigger than a thumbnail, no flavor, the waiter did remove them from our bill without us asking, I ordered Delmonico steak that was no more than a quarter inch thick and fully a quarter fat and gristle. The kitchen should have never released these items that were so obviously sub standard for the price and expectation of this restaurant . We felt the quality and price of our selections were far below the excellent reviews this restaurant had received.
I have enjoyed going to Milton’s kitchen in the past. However I have always found the food very greasy and buttery.
They use amazing fresh ingredients. Would be great if the chef holds back on butter a little. Grease and fat tends to dominate the taste.
The service was great but I had to leave my entree untouched.
We have enjoyed Sunday brunch at Milton’s many times, but Yesterday was special. Our waiter, Ben, made sure the bellinis flowed as our family (including 4 year old Zeke) celebrated my birthday in a lovely atmosphere. And to make the experience even more special, fellow proud American, Lee Greenwood, was enjoying brunch at an adjacent table!
Made a reservation but still had to wait even though there were tables open. Waited over 40 minutes to get our drinks after ordering them. Food was all terrible. Cauliflower tasted like gasoline, Brussels sprouts were burned beyond recognition, salmon was extremely fishy, and the meatloaf was like a gelatinous blob smothered in bottled barbecue sauce. Definitely would not recommend this place.
Truely a fantastic dining experience. I’ll put their wagyu flank steak up against anybody’s steak. Perfectly cooked, perfectly marbled. The roasted garlic accompaniment completes the dish. The pork chop is also just incredible. My wife and I are big fans, and will continue to visit Milton’s often.
The meal was great, we’ve visited many times over the years and will continue to. We aren’t likely to celebrate a birthday and bring our own cake though. I think the $2.50 per person is a bit much, we’ve always given the leftovers to the wait staff and did thus time too and it was well received. Isn’t that enough? Who gets the $2.50 per person? It’s a small thing and I will celebrate there in the future but not Birthday’s with cake.
This was our 3rd visit. Our 1st visit took place on 1/5/18 our 4 year dating anniversary. We loved it so much we made reservations for the next evening. This past Sunday we tried the brunch and it too was delicious, next time for brunch we will make reservations at 12:30 p.m. Great place. One of our new favorites.
