Have been here numerous times and I think it gets better with each visit. The food and presentation are interesting and complex but is not pretentious. I am lucky enough to travel and eat at many fine dining establishments around the country and frankly can't think of one consistently better than this one.

Our server Lauren was awesome. Valentines pre fixed but still sizable portions and quality prep.

I am never disappointed with Millwrights. If you are looking for a special experience this is the place to be. Delicious food - that is unique. Amazing service - attentive, kind, professional, timely, and lovely. Great atmosphere - quiet, dim, romantic, with water view.
It is a pricey restaurant choice - but it is absolutly worth it. Treat yourself!!

In good conscience, I cannot give this place any less than 5 stars. The food is always beyond amazing and the flavor combinations are outstanding. The chef takes great care in what he's making and there has NEVER been a single thing on the menu that I haven't absolutely raved about. Major kudos to the pastry chef too - she's got a skill I could only dream of. Last time I went I got the venison which was out of this world; super tender, the sauce amazing, and cooked to a perfect medium rare. Every time I go, the food just gets better and better. Save room for dessert - it's not to be missed. Hazelnut cake was mind blowing - decadent without being too rich or too heavy. Paired perfectly with the French press coffee with the rock sugar stirrer. Just a classy meal and overall experience, and food that'll rock your world.

We went back for the Valentine's Day Prix Fix Menu and it was absolutely fantastic. I definitely recommend getting the guinea hen and the quail. My boyfriend and I got different items down the whole menu just so we could taste everything. The passion fruit mousse was out of this world delicious. I wish I could have licked the dish clean it was that good. Highly recommend going if you can still get a reservation!

It's hard to say enough good things about Millwright's.
I'm in NYC not infrequently and Millwright's is as good as any place i've dined in NYC.

Everything was cooked to perfection and our waiter was the best! The only things I didn't enjoy was the fish cake- a bit dry and very fishy, and the bitter greens with bacon vinaigrette- it was all bitter and salt, not very tasty. Everything else was presented beautifully and tasted phenomenal!

We arrived early. The hostess welcomed us and directed us to the cozy tavern downstairs. Our pre-dinner cocktails were excellent. We were seated promptly. Our server, Marie, was a delight - very attentive, but never intrusive. Our entrees were delicious! The chicken was perfectly prepared, and a delicious burgundy paired beautifully. The potatoes were amazing. Everyone raved about their meals. It was a wonderful evening. We will return, and next time will try the chefs tasting menu.

We ordered the 7 course chef's tasting menu with wine pairing and were not disappointed. When you have one of the best chef's in New England at a local restaurant, you have to take advantage.

My reservations were made 3 weeks prior with a requested table overlooking the water. Our table was given away (I know this because the hostess in training mentioned to the head hostess that we were supposed to sit at my requested table, but the other hostess had given it away and we were 10 minutes early for our reservation time) and they sat us at a tiny table in a corner right up against the kitchen and under a speaker with no water view. Very loud.

The food was sub-par at best. Chicken was dry and overly salty. The potato puree tasted of boxed potato flakes. Food was luke-warm. Nothing was hot. I was not impressed at all. Wouldn't recommend especially for that price! If the food was worth it, I wouldn't mind.

Chef Tyler did personally contact me offering a refund which was commendable. Still awaiting that in the mail.

Quiet dinner among 4 friends. Food was excellent and service matched. 10/10 would recommend.
