Sat at my Usual spot at the Bar 11 -12 great Service , LOVE it there
The bartender and the drinks he made were delightful! I will come back just to see him again
Not the highlight of my Mother’s Day.
Food was delicious and well prepared. Our server was excellent. They did a nice job with COVID-19 regulations, I never felt uncomfortable. I will definitely be coming back here.
Food was top notch ! Bartender was excellent!
My favorite restaurant in Providence. Best steaks in the city and tremendous service always.
Everything was great from the moment we walked in. Food was delicious and the server was wonderful and attentive
Linda, our service person was very friendly, attentive and her services were awesome.
Food was also very good
Mill's Tavern had been on the list to check out ever since we moved to the area. Although the food was excellent and the server was extremely polite, the overall experience was a 2 out of 10. On Mother's Day, you would expect a restaurant to have more than pasta with butter for kids. With that said, we were ok with it. The issue was the time between our salads and main course was over 45min. Being at a table with a 5yr old and a 6yr old definitely enhanced the situation, but to receive our salads and fires for the kids at 12:45 and not receive our main courses until AFTER 1:30 is just unacceptable for a restaurant of this caliber. The Server was very apologetic and the manager even came over and apologized. Both were great, but the only a free desert for the length of time was just not ok. We will try it again without kids, but just a very bad 1st impression.
Steak was average at best and special Portuguese Bread Pudding ... had the accompanying cream to be not up to traditional standards.
Lynn as server is always First Class.
The food was excellent, our server Lynne went out of her way to make our dinner as great as possible! I will be coming back, 100%!
We had dinner to celebrate my wife’s birthday and it was fantastic!
Well, I would've given 5 stars except for the fact that my reservation was a bit messed up. I had made the reservation for 2 people. On that day I called Mills Tavern to ask if we could add two more on to the reservation because it was our anniversary. The woman said No that they were full. I have never ever been turned down by restaurant for this request, but I get it since we are still in a bit of a pandemic. I requested they call me if they had a last minute cancellation. We were disappointed but understood. We show up at the restaurant and they said they had the table ready and it was for a party of 4. When I explained that they had turned down my request, the woman said that they tried to call me, which was a blatant lie because I received no missed calls or messages and my phone is extremely reliable because I use it for business calls. So the whole time our close friends could have joined us for our special night but no one bothered to follow up. This kind of put a damper on the evening but the food and service were excellent!
Bartender was awesome food was great
Haven’t been there in years
I plan on going back
Great service. Excellent choices. Prix fix always a good option
Ate at the bar and the bartender was excellent, great service, very good drinks and personable. The food was very good, rack of lamb was done perfectly. Two exceptions: the crab bisque was served lukewarm, barely above room temp, and my wife's tuna was overdone and a bit dry.
We went for our anniversary and everything was perfect. Maria our waitress was really good. The food was some of the best we have ever eaten. It is pricey but worth it. I highly recommend.
Our server Lynn was outstanding!
F&B was excellent too!
Bartender and cocktails were above par! Very knowledgeable and personable!
The bar bites were good, we shared several.
We went at an early hour so it was quiet there.
A nice evening.
When we made the reservation I made it known of our allergies but the waiter, though was very pleasant, was unaware and served us bread with sesame seeds. From the onset, I would think that such a fine dining establishment would pass along the information seamlessly. We ordered from the prix-fixe menu, the 24 oz wagyu NY strip steak for two. We were not impressed. It was cooked perfectly but there were many parts that were tough. We did not enjoy the hype of this cut of meat. We also partook of the wine pairing, but a few of the wines we were served did not follow what was on the menu. To end the evening the desserts and the port pairing was delicious. In summary, we much prefer Red Strip, their sister restaurant, over Mills Tavern.
1st time there and the food and service was very good the room we where in was extremely loud which made the experience a little uncomfortable!
I experienced Mills Tavern for the first time two months ago, and with friends in town for this past weekend I was eager to share this gem with them. Not only is the food of excellent quality, but they could not have been more accomodating for a gluten allergy in the party. Social distancing is well-handled too. Dining there has been a wonderful experience and I will definitely be back soon.
Service was very poor and we left before ordering dessert even though we were celebrating a birthday. Our waitress never came back after dropping off our food. Dirty plates were left on the table for 30 minutes with no effort to clear them or offer dessert.
I love Mill St. sadly the quality has gone down. It was extremely noisy as music was on very loud. The waiter was annoyed that we didn’t order appetizers or desert. So I felt bad and ordered wine I didn’t want to order because he seemed to want to beef up the check. Makes me sad because I love this place and was looking forward to going. Hope that isn’t the norm there.
My wife and I went to Mill's Tavern to celebrate a birthday. The restaurant has clearly been made as Covid protective as possible. The tables were comfortably separated and there were dividers between tables to protect the patrons. The service we received was excellent as was the food. I highly recommend Mill's Tavern for a special occasion as well as everyday dining.
The service is terrible ! They do not have all the drinks an food they offer ! Example ; out of bud light , out off coors bear , out o 3 different brands of wines we ask for !
Excellent food, good service although a little slow. nice atmosphere!
I can honestly say this was one of the best meals I have had in years. Spectacular.
Went for our anniversary. Couldn’t have been happier with everything from the service to the food. My husband said it was one of the best meals he’s ever had. Simply perfect.
This restaurant is amazing. The food is top quality, always delicious and decadent. The servers are extremely professional and are among the best in town. We enjoy ourselves every time we come here.
Not all items on order delivered
Steak over cooked
Service spotty. Long periods with not attention
Water not refilled.
Amazing as always.
Great experience loved celebrating my birthday there!
It’s a wonderful place. Everything was delicious, service was great.
Another amazing meal at Mill's Tavern. This is our go to place for our celebratory dinners.
We had a wonderful anniversary dinner at Mills Tavern- it was our first time back in a year, we felt very safe, the tables were well spaced and the menu was great! Our waitress Lynne helped us decide on our dinner choices- she was excellent, professional but not overbearing and timed every course perfectly. We can't wait to go back. Lynne even brought over complimentary champagne to help us celebrate our anniversary- nice touch!
We came in for a birthday dinner and everything was fantastic. It was quiet for a weekend but that's to be expected during COVID times. The staff were friendly and our waitress was very attentive. The food itself was all well prepared and cooked perfectly. I would definitely come here again next time I'm in Providence.
Love Mill’s Tavern and always have a good experience. However this time the service was painfully slow. I believe there were too few waiters this evening. Food was not to their usual standard this evening.
