Mill's Tavern

First time dining at Mill's with Covid restrictions in place. The food and dessert were amazing as always.

Everything was great ! Had the Prefix menu . Our server was really nice !

Service was excellent food was great and the ambience was really nice.... A little disappointed that since they knew it was a birthday celebration they did not provide a free dessert

We went to Mill's Tavern during COVID restaurant month because the special menu looked excellent. We started off with martinis and blue cheese olives which were excellent. We had calamari and Caesar salad for starters, filet and venison ragu for mains, and bread pudding and beet chocolate cake for dessert. We enjoyed a half price bottle of wine with the meal. Every dish was outstanding and we ate every bite. Our waitperson, Samantha, was outstanding. She was attentive without hovering and made us feel welcomed and safe.

absolutely astonishing! the venue gives off modernly vintage vibes that allows you to settle down and enjoy time with family. the servers were so friendly and helpful and the food was nothing short of fantastic. Mill’s Tavern is certainly a diamond of Providence!

We used to go to Mils tavern several times a Month but won’t be back ... so unfortunate ... we realize times are tough for restaurants but the dinner for 4 was $600 and the service was terrible! There was. Camera flashing on us while we ate ... we ordered raw bar and the shrimp were u16 and the Same price as the u8s they used to serve. Just poor all around food quality and experience ..

Covid has turned a wonderful restaurant into a library. However, the food, the service was and still is exceptional with a shout out to Lynne for her professionalism and fastidious nature. Steaks were as always perfectly cooked and enjoyed.

We have been going to Mills Tavern for years! Food is always excellent and fresh! However I was extremely disappointed at my dinner in 1/1/2021. I have the prefix menu. My calamari was oily and tasted like it was fried in old oil. My Salmon was good but the grits were lacking flavor. My husband had the shrimp cocktail which was fresh and delicious as always and the filet Mignon and he greatly enjoyed it. My son usually gets the Mac and cheese and also tasted oily and not as creamy as it usually is. I was very disappointed with my meal for the first time at Mills. Not sure if it’s due to covid but the has been the worse and only meal I’ve ever had at Mills. We did not complain to the waitress but big felt it needed to be said in hopes they are aware of my concerns so they can fix whatever the problem is so I can go back again some day!

Excellent . There was a special. It was half of a baked stuffed lobster . I added it to my filet mignon for an amazing surf and turf meal.

Always an outstanding experience. Even in this challenging time, we had a great meal. Everything was managed safely and professionally. It was another great evening in Providence thanks to Mill's Tavern.

Jake is the best. He is the reason we go there. Excellent bartender and server.

Always good food, great service and a pleasurable experience but COVID put such a damper on the whole experience - there was absolutely no energy in the room. Its a shame.

My boyfriend and I came here and had the wagyu tomahawk special and wow.... definitely worth it. It was incredible! We also had outstanding service from Lynn. We can’t wait to come back.

They continue to wow us. After having to reschedule my 40th birthday dinner due to a shift in business hours as a result of the covid-19 "pause", we decided to celebrate a few days earlier. The food was fabulous as always and our server Jake was spot on. If you have something special to celebrate, this is your place. Consumate professionals!

Great place, always a great meal

Everything was fantastic. We ordered the swordfish and the shrimp linguine, and while both were outstanding the swordfish was incredible. Our appetizer was the calamari, which was also excellent and had a great fra diavolo sauce. Lynn, our amazing server, also brought a side spinach dish which was the best spinach side dish I ever had. It was cooked in a garlic oil/soy (or terriyaki?) sauce that I wanted to bottle and take home. Lynn couldn't have been a better server and made the entire experience wonderful.

This is my second time dining at Mill’s Tavern. I have said it before and after my second experience i double down even more...2 of the best meals and experiences I have had anywhere were at Mill’s. I am a huge foodie...i love food and culture of wide varieties, and i enjoy cooking and creating dishes a lot myself. I can be somewhat critical especially with my own food. I took my girlfriend here for her birthday dinner and it was even better than my first experience. (Only due to the food we shared and decided on) She was blown away and i was as well with everything. Even with the limited menu due to covid. If you go here with a high end dinner in mind it will only exceed your expectations. It is not cheap (for some) items on the menu, but it is absolutely worth it. We went with the bone in 42oz tomahawk cut steak for 2...raw bar items, and calamari and some great cocktails and sides. Cant say enough about this place. Last year i went in April as well...they didnt skip a beat.

Had a bottle of Cakebread recommended by Jake Ducharme their beverage manager. Outstanding and half price. Love this restaurant.

Service and food was great!! Loved the ambiance. Our steaks were cooked perfectly. The Mac & cheese side was incredible, I could have eaten 3 of them! Really different cocktail menu, delicious!

More entrees to choose from there were only six options I understand coved situation but there were no specials either. I will go back when there is a full menu because our party did enjoy the meals and the waitress was great 👍

The entire staff did an unbelievable job. Jake was our server and he went above and beyond to make our Thanksgiving dinner special. Food, ambiance, and service were fantastic!

Lynn was our server and was very attentive and kind. We did outdoor seating which was nice on a warm night. The blankets we were given were an added bonus!

Food was phenomenal. No detail was spared. We couldn't decide on dessert so we got too many! Lol

Mills Tavern is a true experience of Providence dining. They never fail to impress and are always helpful and pleasant!

We usually dine with Samantha but she had the day off. Jake took great care of us! He clearly communicated all the special offerings and suggestions without hesitation and we enjoyed what seems to be the gold standard dining experience at this fine Restaurant. We loved the new lamb lollipop appetizer with cous cous and as usual, PEI and walrus and carpenter oysters... But last night we did not venture far from our usual Rib Eye for dinner, accompanied by the Mac'n cheese and asparagus sides. The new carrot cake for dessert was wonderful and delighted that they 86'd the traditional cream cheese frosting and it's replacements were much more to our liking! A quiet Sunday night ended with lovely espresso martinis and deep appreciation for the quality and care this restaurants team practices! Covid has changed allot and our patronage is rooted in wanting a touch of normalcy while nothing is normal for these service workers. That being said, you're still greeted with a smile, exceptional service and food to match! Thank you!
