Food was very good, service was good, but not exciting. The place was empty when we came in except for a few people at the bar. Was not aware it was part of the Marriott Property but a great restaurant overall food wise. Good quality was good. I mentioned that I had made a reservation but because it was empty I am not sure anyone cared or even confirmed my reservation as I usually get a quick email from OpenTable with points confirmation and I have not received it.
Millioke was disappointing. The menu looked great and we were excited for the drink list.
We were 1 of 4 tables in the restaurant. The hostess who seated us was polite enough but it took them several minutes to acknowledge us as we stood awkwardly looking for an employee.
The menu was a quite different from what was advertised on OpenTable and their website.
Our biggest issue was our waiter, Rob. He was so unbelievably rude to us. He mocked my husband by mimicking him which we found so bizarre.
We ordered a couple apps but decided to skip ordering entrees because we didn’t want to be at Millioke anymore.
I wanted to speak to a manager about our experience but one was not around. I tried emailing and calling - no response.
I would avoid this place, unless you’re in the mood for an abrasive unpleasant meal outside of Dick’s Last Resort/Ed Debevics.
Have always liked this restaurant but the menu has been very scaled back and the server did mention this to us. It was not very crowded for a Friday but the service was not anything to write home about. After our food came out (50 minutes later) the server never checked back with us until we were almost finished and we just needed mayo for a burger that was a little dry. My friend had a salad and mentioned the chicken was very dry as well.
We were looking for a Sunday bite to eat & used Open Table for a list. Millions popped up. It was great. Perfect craft cocktails. Great burgers and the added sides of roasted brussel sprouts with bacon was delicious.
Great service. A total surprise in the most positive way.
Not very good. Service was slow, but not terrible. The real problem was the food, which had clearly been sitting under a heat lamp for quite some time. None of the 4 dishes we ordered appeared to be fresh. Drinks were expensive and tasted watered down. Would not go back.
Service and atmosphere was nice. Food was not. Medium rare ribeye cooked well.
This is highly subjective, but the music was incredible. I wanted to ask f it was a Spotify playlist, I would listen to it every day. Food was good and they have a decent craft beer selection.
Always great service and food here. The menu is just big enough for variety, but small enough they can master every dish.
The service was a bit slow for a place that was not crowded but overall the food was good.
I'm a huge fan of Ward's House of Prime and I had their bone-in ribeye and my girlfriend had their filet but this place blows Ward's out of the water with those two dishes I've never had a bone-in filet that was so delectable and she said the same about her fillet
Had 6 pm reservations for New Years Eve. No indication that the menu was prix fixe for the evening until we arrived. Menu was super limited. Their website showed the menu was prix fixe starting at 8. The waiter seemed like it was his first day in the restaurant industry ever. Didn’t know the menu or simple cocktails. Apps came quickly but drinks came very slow. Had to order another round when the first came because it was 30 minutes before he would be back with the drink order. No attention was given to any of the 4 tables for almost an hour. At 7 the food arrived and the management staff must arrived because we were asked multiple times how things were. After such a terrible experience we didn’t say anything because we were just happy to be eating. 1 1/2 for dinner service for 4 with an empty restaurant is not great service. Won’t be back.
Our serving Ron was very attentive and even the other server Robert was happy to help out :)
Everything was fine until our server tried to push a TripAdvisor review on us and we'd save 15%. It felt a little too pushy. The process was a little too convoluted and took forever. I'd suggest offering a coupon that gives you 15% off your next visit so the customer can fill it out on their own time. It just grew more and more annoying. I would have left perfectly happy had they never offered this discount.
6:00 on a Saturday night, and they were already out of 3 menu dishes and one craft cocktail. How can a bar be out of one of their own designed craft cocktails? Drinks we did order took forever to get. Service could best be described as spotty and slow motion. I had been there once for a business dinner and recalled it being much better. After this however, I would not return.
We (two of us) really wanted to like this restaurant, we really did! The reviews were quite favorable, and the concept great. We agree with other reviews about the physical aspects of the restaurant - the space is very unique and inviting with the arches and the brick interior. Someone mentioned the comfort of the chairs - and yes, they are very comfy! But the service...oh boy. It's unfortunate that this was the deal breaker, but the food was pretty much meh, so it it wasn't enough to make up for the server. She was very nice and sweet, but we hope the she has a day job. She was sloooow and inexperienced. After waiting for 30 minutes for our food, she brought the salad with our meals that were lukewarm at best. The fries were actually cold. She messed up coffee (long story, and I would rather forget), 20 minute wait for dessert that she brought without forks (had already forgotten flatware for other parts of the meal), forgot to bring the bill. The customers next to us got up and left after she pretty much forgot they were there after she delivered water 20 minutes prior. Oh - she had 2, maybe 3, tables to serve, in case you wondering if perhaps she was too swamped. They were also out of their signature cornbread and tater tot app- already at 5:30 on Saturday? The ratatouille that I ordered was pretty bland, and my husband had the burger - he said it was ok.
If anyone dose decide to try the place out, hope you have a better experience. It just wasn't in the stars for us.
We weren't seated until 20 minutes past our reservation. Not sure what happened since I've been here twice before and had a great experience.
Great service from our wonderful waitress! I was with my daughter and two grandchildren she made the evening quite special.
We ended up here because our originally scheduled location had a very long wait. 7 of us were seated right away, which was nice. The food was good, very Wisconsin. I would recommend the following: Cheese Cornbread and Cheese Fondue to start. Both were very tasty. For dinner we had a hodge podge of items. I had the Milloke Burger without a bun and the fried. The burger was nothing special. I have had better and the burger itself was small. I would not order it again. The bacon wrap shrimp and the soup were table favorites. The soup was a heavy cream soup and the cup was very large. The soup alone can be a meal.
Nice place. Not sure it's always so quiet on a Friday night, but we were lucky.
Service was very slow, did not know what beer they had or anything about it and mixed up what they poured. Looked like server had to bartend and "disappeared" many times. Food was good, but small portions.
My party of three arrived a little after noon. The restaurant was not busy. We ordered our food - I ordered the daily special - and waited over 40 minutes for the food to arrive. I was given the wrong sandwich. My two dining companions were well into their meals by the time mine arrived. While the manager (?) did comp my meal, I was NOT impressed with this restaurant at all. Another couple at a table near me had to request to have their order taken - after waiting over a half hour for service. We then had to wait longer to get our check and to pay our check. I would likely not return to this restaurant.
The service was outstanding and the food was uniquely Wisconsin. The atmosphere and decor was great. Definitely recommend that others check this out.
It took well over an hour for them to make two salads. The salad I had only 4 ingredients. Several other tables got food before us despite the fact that we had come in earlier. Although the server was apologetic, we were not offered anything complimentary to make up for having to wait for so long. It was an overall unpleasant experience.
Good food. Friendly staff. Great burgers and steaks.
One of the male waiter there was really rude. We had a reservation and when we arrived, instead of leading us to a table, he stopped us asking whether we want to do breakfast or lunch without further explaining why and kept us standing. When we insisted on having a seat first, he started to combine small tables, but there are a few large tables that could easily accommodate all of us that he refused to let us in. Those tables are not reserved nor are there many customers during that period.
Horrible experience. We went there for the first time during Downtown Dining Week and the restaurant was empty, but somehow our meal took close to three hours. My boyfriend ordered an old fashioned, and it tasted like a glass of straight fireball whisky. It took almost two hours to receive our meals, and when we finally did, my steak was basically raw and was cold to the touch. The wait staff couldn't be bothered to stop by our table to see how we were doing throughout the meal. And to top it off, after eating what was edible of our food, my boyfriend was then informed that the dessert he ordered was no longer available. I will never go back.
Just a burger at lunch time, but the bacon jam is FABULOUS!
Went with three friends for Downtown Dining Week. It wasn't my choice. The staff was quite nice. The food was good quality and fresh. I found my wrap carb-heavy, the chips greasy and my cobbler lacking in enough crumble. If you don't mind paying for the kind of food they serve there, it's certainly a good choice.
A business associate and I stopped in for lunch. The Downtown Dining-Week event was going on, so we did the 3 course lunch. The salad was very fresh with an unusual but great tasting dressing, the main course was a burger or a wrap, nothing out of the ordinary, tasty just the same, dessert left a bit to be desired. The waiters were okay, maybe a little slow between courses, but overall efficient. The old building architecture was awesome to look at and take in.
I would have liked more time just to sit, drink a beer a look around. I would definitely go back, but order from the full menu, not the limited 3 course one, unless they offer a few more choices than 2.
In one word it was TERRIBLE. I had a reservation for 2 at 12:15, we were given the option to sit near the entrance to the kitchen or the bar. We went for the bar, after getting our drinks and placing our order, we literally abandoned. The time between the appetizer and entree was long. (After the entree we were sitting until 1:30pm to get our plates removed.) The falafel was not as described on the menu, the desert was misleading too. I had to eat my entree with emptied drinks, until we flagged someone, the bartender was everywhere but the bar. All in all, it was bad service and will never consider this place for lunch or dinner. Not worth the money if the basic service is lacking.
It was a down town dining lunch menu and I think they could have been more efficient with ordering, food delivery, and overall expectation on how many people would be dining all at once. Maybe not offer the overall menu and have more of the downtown dining items already made up.
But overall, food was great!
A few of us came to Millioke for lunch during Downtown Dining. We were immediately seated, and given a table with armchairs in a very private area - we could barely hear anyone else in the restaurant. I had a cold watermelon soup before the entree, which was comparable to a smoothie: bright pink, sweet, and fruity. Very interesting! The burgers were juicy and cooked perfectly. Our waiter forgot about us after serving the entrees so we needed to take our desserts to go, although it is understandable during such a busy special.
Overall, I'll be back again, I'm sure!
Dined with a good friend of mine. We sat outdoors which was pleasant, only noise issue was when motorcycles passed. Waitress was very helpful and friendly. We had the $12.50 lunch. We could over hear the table next to us & they said the Watermelon soup was not flavorful. So we ordered the little gem salad appetizer. I would call it mediocre. The beets & lettuce did not look or taste fresh. Our waitress suggested we order the burger entree which was very flavorful & cooked to perfection. It was served with fried onion shreds, on brioche with a cheese sauce on the plate and homemade chips. Chips needed some salt. For dessert we ordered Pina Colada Pana Cotta which was pretty bland. Also ordered the berry crumble which was also mediocre. The berry crumble tasted good as a sauce on the pana cotta, it gave it some flavor. I enjoyed the honey lavender lemonade, but it would have been better if the lavender was infused rather than sprinkled on top. My friend had the house wine which was fine.
Liked the decor, but my spicy falafel was rather tasteless. Our server, Katie was friendly.
Great food, great atmosphere! I would highly recommend.
I was super disappointed in Millioke for Downtown Dining week. The food was not good. They basically puréed a watermelon and poured it into a bowl, creating a tasteless, watery "soup" which wasn't even chilled. The salad was weird and cheap. The main course - the falafel was super dry and it was lacking in cucumber sauce. The chicken wrap was certainly not a "curried chicken" it was more like chunks of chicken with a super random flavor. It was basically wrapped in my crappy first course salad. Finally - the "cobbler" was essentially a puréed fruit cocktail in a glass jar with a sugar cookie on it. Not a cobbler at all. Our waitress barely acknowledged our existence or asked us if we wanted drinks. All in all - really terrible. Won't go back.
Excellent lunch! I had a wonderful, melt in your mouth burger, with onion jam, beer cheese and fried onions. The house chips are crisp and flavorful. My friend ordered a Lavender Honey Lemonade cocktail- that was stunning! Real lavender floating around in the crisp, tart lemonade with a perfect splash of vodka. Nice elegant, comfort food!
Pros: Ron, our waiter was great. They gave our little brother a free dessert because we were celebrating his graduation which was an unexpected and kind gesture. The pretzel appetizer is out of this world!
Cons: The food took a while to come out and they were all out of several of the appetizers.
Second time for dinner and was just as good as first time. First time we had a room for our group of 5 which was very nice and quite. This time it was just 2 of us for dinner before the theater. Cocktails were creative and strong :) Food was creative and tasty. Service was attentive. We will be returning.
No meat and cheese boards were available... We came specifically for that!
