Tucked within the elegant grounds of the Carlton Hotel, Millesime is a trendy brasserie that offers French-inspired dishes in an urban space, decked with tiled floors, soaring walls and a colorful dome ceiling. The restaurant's menu draws inspiration from classic seafood dishes, with an appealing mix of appetizers, salads, soups and entrees. Menu highlights include the roast chicken, smoked herring, tartares, cod lobster pot au feu and grilled Caesar. Chef Scott Burnett ensures each dish is made to order using French culinary techniques and fresh seasonal ingredients sourced from local farms. This restaurant also offers a nice wine selection to complement its meals.
Millesime's elegant décor and upscale menu make it a popular pick for romantic dates and special events. It also provides a convenient pick for hotel guests. Millesime is open every day of the week.
The food was great. The service was a little slow. We waited a long time to order but they gave us a free glass of wine because of this.
too bad it is closing ( and why did open table not know) for renovations. not the best experience and sad for the workers.
This was a great place I stumbled upon while looking for $1-oyster happy hours many months ago. But I hadn't actually been until friends were staying in midtown this past week. I made it a point to suggest this place because I really wanted to try it. I was not disappointed. Even though we arrived only 10 minutes before our scheduled reservation, the staff was friendly and flexible enough that we could have a drink and oysters before dinner. (Keep in mind that this was on a Wednesday evening; not a busy weekend.) The food, while on the more expensive side, was delicious. The bi-level setting of bars/table/dining space might make you forget you're in New York for a minute. I'll definitely be back!
Brunch is really good. The food is tasty, just wish they had bigger portions. I personally enjoyed the sangria punch but both are very tasty. Suggestion though, Dont mix them.. Trust me. They are delicious on their own.
The music is excellent and it was great to see a couple get engaged. Great ambiance
Overpriced, not any ambience and poor service. Foor very regular and very few people for being Saturday.
The food was expensive but mediocre and the room was empty and dead, the vibe funereal.
The restaurant could have a fantastic vibe, but it was literally empty when we arrived at 6:30pm. The menu is good, but on the expensive side for the portions & quality offered. Booth was comfortable.
Fabulous meal with great service. The food had a lot of taste and beautiful presentation. Definitely a great find and we will be back!
Interesting space overlooking the foyer to the Carlton Hotel. Extremely unbusy for a Saturday night. Not exactly a hotspot neighborhood, but still.
I can't say enough about the food... except to say it was as delicious as it was beautifully presented. However, both the bartender and our server made the whole dining experience memorable and enjoyable!
I know this place used to be super popular and trendy... looks like that's when we should have come. We were the only people in the restaurant at noon on a Sunday. I ordered the eggs benedict and one of the eggs came out over hard. The punch was good, but with all the amazing spots in NYC for brunch, there is no need to ever go back to this place again. Disappointed.
Great staff. The punch brunch was a great option. The food and the staff were all very good. Our group had a great time there. Highly, recommended.
Food was good, only one waitress so we didn't get many drinks. Was pretty empty. I was expecting more of a party atmosphere. Will come back though
Being from the Bay Area we were looking forward to our dinner since the chef had worked at Aqua in San Francisco. At first we were not sure what was going on as they were rather empty for a Saturday night. But we were impressed with the service and attension which was nice along with the Art Deco decorations as part of the Carlton Hotel. My wife started with the watermelon gazpacho and I had the Tune Tartare which were both wonderful. The Icelandic Cod could not have been nicer. We finished with the chocolate crepes which were very creative.
Fabulous food and service.
The chef is a genius!
The tuna tartare was amazing as was the octopus starter.
We both had the salmon main, and both portions were cooked to perfection.
