The food was great. The service was a little slow. We waited a long time to order but they gave us a free glass of wine because of this.

This was a great place I stumbled upon while looking for $1-oyster happy hours many months ago. But I hadn't actually been until friends were staying in midtown this past week. I made it a point to suggest this place because I really wanted to try it. I was not disappointed. Even though we arrived only 10 minutes before our scheduled reservation, the staff was friendly and flexible enough that we could have a drink and oysters before dinner. (Keep in mind that this was on a Wednesday evening; not a busy weekend.) The food, while on the more expensive side, was delicious. The bi-level setting of bars/table/dining space might make you forget you're in New York for a minute. I'll definitely be back!

Brunch is really good. The food is tasty, just wish they had bigger portions. I personally enjoyed the sangria punch but both are very tasty. Suggestion though, Dont mix them.. Trust me. They are delicious on their own.

The music is excellent and it was great to see a couple get engaged. Great ambiance

The restaurant could have a fantastic vibe, but it was literally empty when we arrived at 6:30pm. The menu is good, but on the expensive side for the portions & quality offered. Booth was comfortable.

Interesting space overlooking the foyer to the Carlton Hotel. Extremely unbusy for a Saturday night. Not exactly a hotspot neighborhood, but still.

I can't say enough about the food... except to say it was as delicious as it was beautifully presented. However, both the bartender and our server made the whole dining experience memorable and enjoyable!

I know this place used to be super popular and trendy... looks like that's when we should have come. We were the only people in the restaurant at noon on a Sunday. I ordered the eggs benedict and one of the eggs came out over hard. The punch was good, but with all the amazing spots in NYC for brunch, there is no need to ever go back to this place again. Disappointed.

Being from the Bay Area we were looking forward to our dinner since the chef had worked at Aqua in San Francisco. At first we were not sure what was going on as they were rather empty for a Saturday night. But we were impressed with the service and attension which was nice along with the Art Deco decorations as part of the Carlton Hotel. My wife started with the watermelon gazpacho and I had the Tune Tartare which were both wonderful. The Icelandic Cod could not have been nicer. We finished with the chocolate crepes which were very creative.

Fabulous food and service.
The chef is a genius!
The tuna tartare was amazing as was the octopus starter.
We both had the salmon main, and both portions were cooked to perfection.

It was a nice brunch spot but definitely not well known as it was empty. They should make it clearer where the restaurant is located in the hotel, turn down the club music and get some better glassware but otherwise great food, attentive staff and a beautiful room.

We went for Fathers' Day because the restaurant is in a beautiful building and had a nice-looking menu. It was empty. We were one of three tables and no one brought us menus for 15 minutes until we got up to ask. We also had to ask to order. The waiter forgot our drinks and got our order wrong and even forgot to enter one of our meals. When it arrived, it was the wrong item. They did not charge us for it. That was thoughtful. This place has so much potential and is a lovely setting, but poor service and management are overshadowing the positive qualities.

The host and waiter were extremely helpful and menu knowledgeable. The seafood was excellent, especially the oysters. My only critique would be that our waiter and bus person were overextended. The majority of the meal went well, but when we tried to get our check, things unraveled. No one seemed to know where our check was.

The food remains strong, although not as beautifully plated as on my prior visits. The service: we were ignored for a while after being seated, but after we complained, they improved greatly. Still a solid choice if you are in the area.

The restaurant is very 'French,' with pretty but casual decor. Menu had good range of options. I was there with a Travelzoo voucher, which was a very nice 3-course prixe fix. Tartare starter and grilled Caesar salad were both very tasty; nice bread, too. Cod dinner was good, and chocolate crepes had rich chocolate flavor. Would have been expensive ordering a la carte - was glad to be there with a voucher.

We were served by Kyle, a very personable and attentive individual. The food was wonderful. It was beautifully presented and delicious. The only negative mark was the manager - a very sour and dismissive man. As we walked out, he was standing with the hostess and never acknowledged us, not a thank you or goodbye. His mannerism was very poor and not representative of the level of service given by everyone else.

I came here for brunch in the past and it was incredible! Although, they've shortened their menu selections and punch options so now it's only so/so. I would say they need to add more selections to their brunch to keep it strong!

The hotel lobby and restaurant are gorgeous. The Punch Brunch was worth the price though the menu was a bit ordinary. Nonetheless, definitely worth a try.

After having a drink downstairs at the really nice bar, we walked upstairs and were disappointed by the ambience of small plain tables and a very under-dressed crowd. We were fairly dress up for a Saturday night. The diners next to us were in jeans and sneakers. For such an expensive restaurant, we wanted a higher end feel and better dressed diners.

Loved that the $29 brunch comes with a pitcher of your choice of sangria or one of the cocktails included. The croque madame was tasty and the food came out in lightning speed. Such a cute restaurant nested in a hotel.

The service wasn't horrible, although it was slower than you'd expect, given the price. A la carte for breakfast means any add-ons like bacon rack up a large bill fast. In the end, a simple, rather average breakfast for 3 adults was well into 3 figures. That's simply not worth it.

We had dinner at MILLESEEM just before Christmas. Though its location within Hotel Carlyle had been described to us, we still had difficulty finding it. Once we arrived, however, we were made welcome by service staff and found ourselves very well treated indeed. For an appetizer
we had the grilled caesar salad and salmon rillettes. The Caesar was excellent; the rillettes were good but lacking in piquancy. Our entree was the loup de mer and it was extraordinary.
Both of us were struck by its freshness: it could have been caught that very day!!! The preparation was very good and complemented the fish without overwhelming it. We highly
recommend this dish. For desert we had the meringue with sorbet and berries which was a
light and elegant way to end the meal.

The design of the restaurant is just too nondescript and open- open to the lobby and open to the downstairs empty bar/disco. The food and service were OK but not enough to compensate for the feeling you get in an empty restaurant on a Saturday night.
