Great family restaurant and family fun in the little village...
Wanted to see how our favorite restaurant was doing. Food was ok. Somewhat overcooked. There were 4 of us and the pot roast was dry. Shrimps were over cooked. But the ambiance was still there. The wait staff was really minimal and they worked really hard. Very professional. All the shops were closed. Still sad. Fixed menus was old
Entire room was poorly lit. Food was surprisingly subpar for all dishes. The servers were great.
Their buffet brunch is always incredible! The only suggestion I would have is to improve the dessert selection. There used to be an ice cream bar and chocolate fondue fountain. Given that the cost of brunch has increased, it would be nice to see this reflected somewhere. Other than that, it was great!
They would be ashamed and embarrassed if I told you about a brunch experience
Menu had definite value but seemed a little “aged”
The service was friendly but SLOW. We waited over an hour for our entrees. The food was mediocre at best. 2 people in our party took 2 bites and didn’t eat their meals because they said it was so bad. And the service was non-existent to even share their experience.
Great food and service. Beautiful place
I had been to the restaurant years ago and was very impressed, so I thought I’d try it for brunch.
The food and selection were great but the staff could have been a little more attentive and timely. The restaurant furniture seemed worn. I’ll visit again during Christmas to my ale a final decision about the place.
Nice brunch buffet but air conditioning is inadequate. Uncomfortably warm.
This is the first time we have been back since the pandemic started. We were kind of disappointed to not see the animals running around, but we understood why. All of the village shops were not opened. We had the Sunday brunch and the food was fantastic. Hot when it was supposed to be and the cold dishes were out of this world delicious! The price was higher than the last time we were there, but it was worth every penny. If you have never been to the Milleridge Inn, you must go. You will enjoy as long as you have a table near a waiter- LOL!!!!
Great ambiance, historical atmosphere. Food was 4.5 stars. Fun place with lots to do in the adjacent milleridge village.
Food was delicious
Service was great. Food was great
I hadn’t been to the Milleridge Inn since the time my parents were alive so nearly 20 years. I wanted to go with my grandkids like when my parents were there with my kids. I brought back a lot of fond memories. The restaurant hasn’t changed. It looked well kept. Food and Service were good. It was very quite so the effects of Covid seem to still be present. The village was empty. Some stores were closed. All in all a very enjoyable day out.
Very surprised the food was tasteless.
We ordered from the prix fix menu, sauerbraten and pot roast plus a glass of wine each.
Both entrees tasted like they had been sitting around too long, terrible.
The wine, German Riesling, was very bitter. Poor at best.
Worst meal we've had in decades. Definitely not the Milleridge of old. Yuk.
As always the Milleridge performance was superb. The lentil soup was over the top Nd our wit person Shane from Massepequa could not have been more charming and excellent.
Overall the restaurant needs an update ASAP. The food was mediocre. The price was ridiculous ppr for brunch. The only positive was the waitress who was running around non stop Bc she did not have a bus boy to help her. She was attentive even with the limited help.
Waited 45 minutes for table, I had reservations. Hostess needs to be trained or replaced, couldn’t handle position. Was not even trying to be helpful or nice. Chicken was dry and rubbery. Never refilled water or checked on table once food was served; had to flag down another server and ask for check. I would not return.
Our dinner, as usual was good. My husband and I had Cobb and Waldorf Salad. I had marinated steak which was perfect. Hubby had Duck. Our only issue was the wait staff was overworked. We were not in a rush, but there were few staff and a lot of tables filled. In addition, there were several parties. To say they worked their tails off is an understatement.
We have been going to Milleridge Inn for years. We took my mom there this weekend for her birthday and it was Sunday so they had the Sunday Brunch. It was $55 per person no including alcohol. Even though it was a "buffet", they served you as you pointed out what you wanted. I understand this is due to covid but it just wasn't a good buffet set up. I would have rather ordered from the menu. AND the food was not good! The bagels were hard as a rock, the lobster was extremely fishy, the olives tasted funky - it just wasn't good. For $55 a head we were very disappointed. I would not suggest it for Sunday brunch.
Food was exceptional however service was absolutely terrible.
Service a bit slow but we were old friends catching up so it was partially ok. Drinks came slow but dinner came quick…we may have abutted closing time
Hopefully they will get busier
Was good service. Wanted duck no duck , wanted layer cake for desert no layer cake
Took mom and adult kids for a Pre-Mother’s Day dinner. Food was good nice choices and plentiful. The peacocks and bakery entertained outside and the atmosphere was charming. We will come for more family parties I. The future!
I love the Milleridge Inn. The food is fantastic!
Excellent service. Waited only 2 minutes. Efficient friendly server. Food was delish.
Beautiful atmosphere, price fixe menu offers a great value.
Sunday brunch. The selection was awesome. Lobster tails and shrimp were delicious, served cold. Chicken francaise was out of this world.
They have all the regular brunch items like sausage and hash browns, bagels and salmon.
Waitress was awesome and a no rush, relaxing atmosphere.
We felt very safe. It was the first time my friends and I were together in over a year, and it was wonderful being together sharing good food and great service. It was great not being rushed so we were able to catch up on our lives during this very uncertain year.
We sat at the table for about 15 minutes before someone greeted us/gave us menus- food was average. Then we sat waiting for check/boxes for about 15 minutes while staff cleaned up the dining room, mopped the floors and set it up for the morning. We were then rushed out and the staff cleared our table/began taking off the table cloth before we had even gotten up yet.
Milleridge is a beautiful setting. The Pric Fixe Menu had many choices gir lunch. The difficulty was choosing one. Delicious Connamon was brought to the table upon ordering. It was just the right combination of cinnamon and sugar. Lovely afternoon in a fabulous setting.
A quiet mid week lunch. Much better choice with delicious Cobb salad with salmon. A full size dinner portion of salmon made for a nice surprise. My friend enjoyed his chicken Milanese sandwich. Very pedestrian fries (certainly not home made). We'll be back and just stay away from the unspectacular Sauerbraten,
I had the turkey dinner w/salad and dessert, b/day girl w/me had chicken . Turkey was better and very ample. Chicken was w/bones, a bit dry, leg and breast. Salad was very ample. Dessert is very small now, but I realize restaurants are struggling to survive.
They put a candle in her dessert and sang, which was a very nice touch. Have been coming here for decades. It is an iconic venue for Long Island, and I hope it is there forever !!!!
Parking is great. NO MORE POPOVERS......miss them. Wait staff is friendly and helpful.. Milleridge is a wonderful place to go. Wish I saw more groups of younger folks.
Though we believe a price fixe was available it was not offered. When we asked they said " it might not go this late " ( 8 PM)
They were under staffed, food came out at incorrect temperature , took a long time for food delivery, pop overs not available due to short staff, overall disappointing
As always, the food is delicious. My one disappointment is for the last couple of times I’ve dined there, no popovers! That was a Milleridge staple. Very disappointing.
Love Milleridge Inn. Been coming here since I was child. Sad to see it so empty. Need to lure clientele back with incentives, I think. The prix fixed menu is excellent value. But where are the popovers?????
The service was poor. The quality of food wasn't great.
