Long live the Milleridge Inn! Homemade popovers and cinnamon bread opened the meal. Milleridge Chicken was basically a delicious Chicken Cordon bleu. Other items include Prime Rib (weekends) and fish, burgers....basic American fare. Service was great and the meal was fantastic. A Peacock roamed the Milleridge Village shops that lie outside of the restaurant. Not much has change here is 40 years, and that is a good thing.
We had a very lackluster experience at the Millerridge Inn. For the price the food was not being replenished and the overall experience in relation to the money we spent was not worth it.
Will never eat here again. They use cheap product that is over priced and not prepared correctly. Place also looks like a dump, very disappointing.
We have been going to Milleridge for several years now to celebrate a relative's birthday. The service is consistently good, the food is plentiful and they do not rush you through the courses and out the door. There is also always plenty of parking and it is an extremely convenient location right off the parkway.
WAITER WAS NOWHERE TO BE FOUND AND GRUMPY WHEN IS WAS AT OUR TABLE.
We were at the cottage for Elvis night - the value was terrific. The noise level was atrocious - could not hear the person next to me. And no break even while dinner was served. Not acceptable. Also we were a table of 8 and 4 of us were served first and were half-way though our dinner before the other 4 received theirs. Not acceptable. What should have been an amazing evening was overshadowed by the noise and lack of service. However, the value was terrific and the food was good.
The restaurant is very pretty, the service fine but the food was below average.
was promised roses with dinner . that never happened. false advertising on your part.very unsatisfied
All around, the experience was excellent, from the waitress, to the buffet setup, to the music, to the fresh red roses ordered through your flower shop for our table.
From a service standpoint, our waitress was friendly, informative, checked on us to make sure all was fine (without being a pest), and took a great picture of my wife and m!
The evening was a pleasant reminder why we go to the MiIleridge Inn for special occasions and why we got married there several years ago.
Nice Buffet for Valentines Day
It had been many years since we had dinner here last so on Valentine's day my fiancee said she would like to have dinner here so I made a reservation for 7:15 pm when we arrived we were seated right away, a server came to us an told us that we could help ourselves to the buffet i thought we were going to have a meal from the menu, so my fiancee said don't worry about it so we stayed and to our suprise the food was absolutely fantastic lobster shrimp crab legs chicken franchese salad bar pasta so many things we didn't even get a chance to try and a complimentary bottle of wine to each table. If your reading this then you need to try this for yourself you will love the experience.
Buffet was $60 per person--a steep price per person...
The buffet dinner was awesome! 2 rooms of food, seafood corner, carving station and dessert table! ALL the food was great and plentiful. Service was fantastic, we were pleasantly attended to without being overly annoyed. Free bottle of wine and or champagne and doggy bags!
A GREAT NIGHT!
The last time we were there was 17 Years ago. The place hasn't changed. The food was fabulous. The waitress was great and the value was really good
Food, staff, & recommendations were on point. The Inn was tastefully decorated for Valentine's Day. My honey & I took a beautiful picture.
Turkey was moist and delicious steak was done excellent vegetables and apple strudel a very nice ending to the meal then went to the bakery and brought home a blueberry pie which we enjoyed
We did the brunch buffet which I had enjoyed in the past but the price was raised and the food was subpar. They have a decent variety but the lobster was overcooked, and crabs did not taste fresh which are items that make the $55.95 price worth the value. The shrimp was the only seafood item that was made well. Additionally, I noticed the one of glasses on the table we were seated at had lipstick on it and a dirty spoon. The service staff could have been more friendly and welcoming and let us know our options as we only thought it was buffet only and weren’t told about a la carte option. Disappointed as I had enjoyed this place in the past but looks like details are overlooked.
Dining party of four. Our problem was that the entrée of one of the attendees was inedible. Worst tasting sauerbraten I have ever seen/tasted. We area one and done!!
Great food, and plenty of it! I've eaten there many times and it never disappoints. Excellent value!
Another beautiful birthday dinner at The Milleridge Inn. Salad quality was excellent - fresh with a variety of greens. Pot roast was excellent and the medley of fresh vegetables was unique and delicious. The popovers were as good as ever and the cinnamon loaf brought at the beginning would make an excellent weekend breakfast treat. The birthday club is not quite as generous as it had been, but it is still very good. Last year, a personalized cake was brought out - so generous. This year it was just a candle in my chosen dessert. I am not really eating added sugar, so it was fine for me.
Beautiful historic location with good food choices and good sized portions. Very crowded though which did impact service.
I loved the charm and ambiance, the service as well as the food were amazing. Although the cocktails were pricey, the warmth of the fireplace coupled with the company at my table made my visit well worthwhile. I would highly recommend to friends and family
Love The ambiance & the history of the Inn. I enjoy the decor of the Inn & the different decors Throughout the restaurant & bar area. Friendly staff, enjoyable foods.
I come here for Sunday brunch every time I’m in NY. It’s the best brunch around. Three suggestions:
1. Include hot/roasted vegetables,
2. Make mimosas unlimited (or 2)
3. Serve lobster and crab warm
We’ve had our reservations about coming back here. In the past the food wasn’t that great. I’m glad to say there has been a big improvement in their food. Sauerbraten was tender gravy delicious. The stuffed shrimp was excellent. Mexican coffee was great! We’ll be back.
Beautiful atmosphere, still had Christmas stuff up which was great. Food was excellent.
Ambiance, Service & staff were friendly & professional. All recommendations were on point. I would definitely return. I can't wait to see the Valentine's Day decor. Thumbs up for Milleridge Inn
Celebrated my wife’s birthday. Fantastic time service was great.
Love the restaurant since I was a kid. Bird box dinner was the best.
Enjoyed a lovely birthday luncheon with family members. Everyone enjoyed there meal, and the ambience. Christmas is magical and the decorations and roaring fireplace very welcoming.
The wait staff was excellent, food was priced reasonably, we had an enjoyable evening.
Sunday brunch buffet could be more upscale to match the price. I was expecting more choices since I’m gluten free.
The cooked food is cheap quality and culinary prepared with the culinary skill (or lack there of) one would see in a cafeteria. Yes they serve cold lobster and shrimp but nothing else is good. The pastries are what you we get at a free breakfast at a chain motel. There deserts are inexpensive sugar forgetful junk. Everything is cheap low quality poor tasting. The one glass of champagne that comes with the buffet is cheap bad tasting wine. Do not let the advertising "best brunch on LI fool you" This is an over priced poor service buffet that served cold lobster. I would happy pay $55 for a bunch with out the lobster if the food that was served was good quality and cooked with some culinary skill unfortunately Milleridge Inn fails in every way.
A hefty price to pay if people in your party do not eat seafood. We basically paid $28 for our one son to eat chicken fingers and fries, and $55 each for our teenage and adult son to eat omelets and sausage. I understand the price since they serve lobster, shrimp and crab legs, but the legs were just awful. After being seated it took 10 minutes to get water to the table. Another 15 minutes to order our drinks and another 15 minutes until we actually got them. The service got a little better when we started asking for refills when we were only half way thru the glass. The cinnamon brick they give you upon seating is just that— a brick, not edible. The popovers were completely flavorless. The scrambled “eggs” are what you get in hotels that offer free breakfast with your stay. Overall I would not return here for brunch. I’d rather pay a la cart for whatever I want and have it be good food and enjoy it rather than throw away $330 (for 5 people) with tip for this place.
Sauerbraten tough and served warm not hot. Ordered a sandwich. Little gravy and red cabbage.
Restaurant not crowded and service slow
Came here a few weeks ago and had an awesome time. Same thing this time. The food was incredible. Service was great and we took a walk around the village afterwards. Love the quaint little shops. This is really a special place
Always a wonderful dinner at the Milleridge Inn, and so beautifully decorated for Christmas.
I have been eating at the Milleridge Inn for more than 45 years. In it's past life, the menu at the Milleridge was inconsistent, with some dishes superior to others. Sadly, the tradition continues. My wife had the turkey from the fixed price menu. I had the Sauerbraten.
My wife said the turkey was good, though she found the stuffing lacking. The sauerbraten tasted like pot roast that was cooked in gravy water with vinegar. I would not order it again.
The waitress was friendly, but inattentive.
I will probably return....but not too soon.
Requested to look at the regular menu. Was disappointed that you no longer have a dinner menu i.e. everything is a la carte. Prior owners had a very good complete dinner menu. Accordingly will only come for the holiday buffet. Long trip from manhattan. Overall a ni9ce place.
