Mill Pond Steakhouse
Food was excellent!!! I mean excellent! Service was spotty. Had to get up and go to the bar to get our drinks after waiting 20 minutes and our side dishes came out in shifts. Sever kept apologizing to us that he was overworked. He would disappear for 20 minutes at a time?? Not sure what was up but that is a management problem. However, the food was worth the money easily and the ambiance although a little dark once the lights went down was really nice. I haven't been in a while but will go back soon. Just hope we get a different waiter. And no, I'm not cheap, your tip reflected our service.
Steaks are very good and sides. Blackened Grouper was very plain. Mac snd Cheese is exceptional. We were there 3 full hours with 6 people and a-lot of waiting in between. We have been numerous times but seems to be a little less organized than previous visits.
Great food, great environment and excellent service.
Fabulous steakhouse tucked away in the middle of nowhere.
The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. The food was superb. The atmosphere was wonderful. Will definitely be back
We celebrated a birthday here and had Michael as a server. He was absolutely Devine and made our experience wonderful! Definitely worth the drive
Made this reservation for my husbands surprise birthday. The staff and food was amazing! We’ll be back!
The food excellent. My wife and I both got the dry aged ribeye. I liked being able to order exactly want I wanted and not have items served that I did not particularly want. Our waiter was very knowledgeable about the menu and the timing of the meal service was spot on.
Always a very enjoyable evening out.Food & Service is always top notch.Would recommend to anyone!!!!
Celebrating my youngest last parents weekend at USC. EXCELLENT dinner.
Everything was wonderful! Highly recommended! The food was phenomenal!
Mill Pond did not disappoint. We have never had a bad server or food. We asked for Daniel. His personality is wonderful and he just makes the experience fun. We had the bruschetta with Brie for our appetizer. Then we had steaks, the twice baked potatoe, mac and cheese and cobbler. We brought home food for our son. The sides will feed a family of four. We have been pleased every single time we have been. They work so hard to give you a great experience. Well worth the drive from Florence.
Amazing food, service and atmosphere. Very close to Camden, SC. Highly recommend this restaurant.
Food was good cooked the way I wanted. I thought a little pricey but the steak was great, well seasoned and tender. This was a special occasion, so I splurged a little. On the outside the place doesn't look like much, once inside the view was great. I did see alligator or two in the water.😊
Quiet, unique restaurant with great food and outstanding service. Highly recommended.
Great dining experience. We brought friends who had never been there before. They were very impressed and plan to return.
This restaurant is wonderful. Sit by the window if you can. The steaks are the best you will ever eat and the staff are wonderful. My husband always get the special which is an aged ribeye that is amazing. I have tried the shrimp and grits, scallops and the Queens cut filet. All are amazing. The steak melts in your mouth. The sides are huge and shareable for 4 to 6 people. The duck spring rolls are really good as an appetizer. Their cobblers are wonderful and again, shareable. The staff really take care of you. We have never had a bad experience.
Outstanding as usual. Bill took great care of us.
Very pleased with the service and food. Location - very easy to get to
Hell yes I recommend it, it is the best place to eat around this area. Can only afford it on special occasions but it is ourgo to spot here in SC
As always our dining experience was superb! The food, service, and atmosphere are great! We were also entertained by an alligator swimming in the mill pond!
We celebrated my sons graduation from the army. We had any early dinner it was very quiet with a wonderful view of the lake. The service was great always someone if you close by. The food was great steaks were cooked as ordered. It's pricey but the between the great food and ambience it's worth it for celebrations or special events.
Great service, food really good. Maybe a little pricy for local area but we thought it was good value. Atmosphere really good!
Always are great dining experience. Great food.
Absolutely wonderful dining experience!
It was a little pricey for us but it was my moms 82nd birthday and everything was wonderful.
Mill Pond Steakhouse has a lovely atmosphere. The service was very good, we were seated a few minutes early. The food was amazing and there was no shortage of sides. My husband enjoyed the filet, and the shrimp and grits were wonderful. Looking forward to trying it again to try something different maybe try to reserve something nearer a window.
Great as usual. Out of town guests were blown away. Couple had been here and asked to come back. Michael was our waiter and was outstanding. Attentive but not aggravating. Very professional. Thanks for the evening!
This was our first time at Mill Pond and it was a great experience. Our server Michael was awesome and made the experience even better.
Very good food and great service. I would've liked a quieter atmosphere, but the big round table near us had a very obnoxious guy who didn't mind talking very loud all the time, to include using profanity, despite the fact there were children at another table. I believe management should've stepped up to quiet the table for the sake of others around. The table next to us were rolling their eyes.
We went to celebrate our anniversary. The manager was our waitress and provided excellent service. We shared a ribeye and squash casserole with a wonderful bottle of wine. Peach cobbler for dessert.
Marianne shares some history of the restaurant and we watched egrets swarm the lake. Most of the evening the noise was acceptable.
This was a bit pricier than we go to regularly but it was well worth the money. Just be prepared.
Everything was AMAZING service was outstanding steaks was tender, the sides was hot fresh out the oven, will be returning.
Great! Beautiful view of the Mill Pond and wildlife.
Location is a special surprise and one that provided a very special setting for a Birthday Celebration. Had been here before and it was most rewarding. Provides a great evening view of a very busy Rookery for Egrets. What more can you say? Oh yes, the service was outstanding and the food exceptional. Thanks to all for an exceptional evening!
Always a family favorite! Food was outstanding!
Excellent service and really great food. I have been taking visiting family members to Mill Pond for three years now and we have never been disappointed. Try the lamb lollipops or the breaded oysters as starters - you just can’t go wrong. Really friendly staff who go out of their way to make sure you enjoy your meal.
Maryann was such a sweet waitress. Very knowledgeable about the menu, incredibly friendly, and attentive. The crab cakes were some of the best I’ve ever had. It’s a bit pricey, but worth the investment and the 40 minute drive because of the friendly staff, great food, and intimate ambiance.
The food and service was very good. The prices were on the high side. Unfortunately most of our friends can't afford a meal at Mill Pond. We only went because we were given a gift certificate.
This was one if the best food experiences i have had in south carolina. The staff was excelent and knowledgeable and the food what out of this world. Ive been to true steak houses in new york dubai and japan and this was easily in the top 5.
The Mill Pond Steakhouse is a charming restaurant with exceptional service. The atmosphere is elegant without being stuffy but the food did not live up to our expectations. One of our party is a pescatarian but there were a few seafood choices. Most steakhouses usually the few seafood items offered that are done well. The scallop special tasted alright but were overcooked and rubbery. The presentation was sorely lacking as the crab cakes looked like hockey pucks with a drizzle of balsamic. Very plain looking and the they were nothing special. The dry aged bone in ribeye was ordered medium rare but came out closer to medium well and was a bit tough. Just a big steak on a plate. Looked a little sad. Even just a bit of parsley would have helped. The main dishes were average but the sides were a different story. They were all wonderful. The salads was fresh and the scalloped and mashed potatoes were amazing. I will visit again in hopes that we were there on an off day for the food. The experience was good but just not impressed with the food.
