Our family has been going to Mill Pond for over 15 years. The service, food and ambience is consistently excellent. Dinner on the patio is delightful!
Always delightful. Good food, fab scenery overlooking Mill Pond, price fixe luncheon good value. We even saw the Centerport” eagles flying over the Pond.
We had an engagement / graduation party with both families. It was great. The service was excellent as always and the food was perfect - everything from the sushi appetizers to the desert.
Thank you for making our special day even more memorable!
Have been happy in the past
Service was too rushed
Got the feeling they wanted us out fast
Horrible for a real “dining” experience
Big disappointment especially for a Saturday night!
Will not return and will tell others not to go on a Saturday nite
Outstanding food and service. Couldn’t be happier. Recommend reserving table on deck in good weather.
Friends from California visiting
We went for lunch...everything from our appetizer to dessert was delicious. Water view, service and food excellent. We are going back soon!
Just a tad cramped, but otherwise fabulous dinner. I would like to come back in daylight to enjoy the lovely view.
It was an absolutely beautiful pre mother's day evening.
forgot the bread at the beginning of the meal otherwise all be good.
Very good restaurant. Everyone ate everything and enjoyed it. The wine was good and we were not rushed. However, it was a Saturday night and it was very crowded. Although, as I said we were not rushed, I sometimes got the feeling that the waiters were moving quickly. Maybe just me but as I said this is a very good place and we will go back.
Great Food. Exceptional Service.
The eagle has landed, great experience! Mother’s Day eve dinner with my son from Manhattan. Great water/eagle view table.
We tried this restaurant on Valentine's Day and came away thinking it wasn't as good as we expected based on some of the reviews, so we tried it again this week on a normal weeknight. The view is great --- the Centerport eagles gave us a couple of passes! My wife liked the sushi dish we ordered as a starter, but overall the food, again this time, was OK. We've had better in other local places. The service is slow, which is odd considering how many people they have working the floor, but maybe it's by design on a mid-week weeknight to allow diners to take their time. The kicker, though, was dessert. We ordered coffee and one of their desserts ... the dessert came, but the coffees never did. Which is odd for a couple of reasons ... the person who actually took the order and didn't see the coffees on our table might have asked about it. Or any of the other servers might have asked as well, because how often do you see someone get dessert (a crumb cake) and NOT get coffee with it? They have no problem asking you if you want another beer or glass of wine, but no check-ins about the coffee. And then the coffees were on the check ... which we brought to their attention, and they made a nice gesture by also removing the dessert.
Anyway, I'm not sure we would go back, but to sit out on the back deck on a warm night is a nice treat.
I’ve lived on Long Island for most part of my life I’ve passed this place many times but never had the pleasure of eating there. Was just looking for a place to have a nice lunch with my brother-in-law. It was perfect I will return
beautiful day overlooking the water... drinks and the wine were good- me and my buddy split the price-fixed meal... salad, sliced steak sandwich, fries, order of onion rings and a desert- great afternoon ...
Service was polite and friendly but disorganized. Some dishes were unavailable. Food was good but not exceptional. Felt rushed about the appetizers. They kept coming and asking in a way that implies we were taking too long or shouldn’t want to finish. Like “are you finished or do you really want those last two pieces of calamari”. Makes one feel like keeping our last piece of the dish was somehow inconveniencing them or somehow not expected. I was also surprised they didn’t ask if we wanted anything wrapped when they cleared the plates. We would likely have said no, because of the distance we traveled to get there. How wet, I still found it odd that the server didn’t offer. Overall good but because of the expectations and the price, I couldn’t give it five stars.
We love Mill Pond. Not just because of the view, although it is pretty special, but because of the service and the food. Jennifer is a Fantastic server. Ask to sit in her section if possible!
Beautiful setting and great food. It would be nice if they included a cup of coffee in the fixed price lunch.
Excellent brunch with good friends. The service was outstanding throughout, the martinis were well made as was the bloody mary. Delicious scallops for me and everyone else was very satisfied with their meals as well.
I normally love mill pond, but the food was terrible! Sushi was falling apart, muscles were way overcooked and flavorless, fish was overcooked. I had been raving about the restaurant to my friends and was embarrassed when they finally came and suffered through the poor meal.
Table was ready at the reservation time, and did not feel rushed in anyway
The service and the food are outstanding at the Mill Pond House. The wait staff are attentive, friendly and helpful with menu questions. The sushi, steak, salads ate clam sauce that my family ordered were absolutely delicious.
We needed a table on the main floor as we were with a handicapped person. The table that was reserved for us was upstairs on the second floor This was not acceptable and the manager was rude in handling the situation. We were finally able to put a few tables together in the bar area (our idea—not the idea of the staff as they only offered to cancel our reservation) but by that time what started out as an enjoyable special evening turned out to be just another dinner because of the mood swing brought on by the manager.
The food was absolutely amazing. We had blue point oysters, the baked clams. (Use a spoon to ladle the sauce into them and use the cocktail fork to pull them. They’re to die for. And the scallop appetizer special. My date had the pan seared salmon which she was craving since the last time she had it. It was the reason for our return trip. I had the boneless short rib which was spectacular. The beer list is short but fitting for the menu served. The wine is a better pairing most times anyway. Our waiter was super attentive and the food came out one at a time in perfect succession. Everything was piping hot as it hit the table. Perfect execution. Our waiter, the neighbors waitress and the manager checked on us in a regular basis. A fantastic restaurant and an incredible meal. Wish I could afford to do it more often.
The Mill Pond House is great.
Mill Pond never disappoints! It is one of our favorites! Everything is delicious and the staff are very nice and attentive!!
Delicious food. Great view.
Nice atmosphere and great food! Service could have been better. Missed a coffee and missed serving one of the small plates as an app vs
Food was fantastic. Very bad lighting. Could not even see my wife sitting in front of me. . Otherwise good service & great food.
Excellent service! Seafood entrees were great. Disappointed there were no shrimp entrees though.
Mill Pond house never disappoints. Great food and ambiance. Inside is quiet and elegant and outside has the gorgeous view of the pond and in our case a beautiful sunset. Excellent Menu and wine list. I had the sole Roberto which was cooked to perfection; light and very tasty. We shared the Artisnal Cheese Board which had excellent complimentary flavors. This is a place we frequent and is always consistent with service and food.
Love this place! Great food and great price fixe menu.
Just love going here for dinner! Always a wonderful experience...cozy atmosphere & great food! Perfect night out!
We usually have a very good overall dining experience here, however not so much this time. Service was slow and not and very attentive and food was just not as good as we have experienced before. Surprising for a fairly empty restaurant. Price paid did not equal value received.
Always a pleasure to go ther
Always excellent. The team try hard and the food is great.
Went on Sunday and they offered a complete dinner special which was well worth it!Staff worked well together-someone always around to pour wine, bus table etc.Always consistently good.Sushi is amazing.Look at web for deals and specials and events.
We had brunch to celebrate my mother in laws move to the area. Every part of our experience was lovely. The food, beverage, service and of course location. Can’t wait to go back.
